“So, what did you find out?’ I asked Tyler, who just came back from Kasper’s pack. He paused, looking at me, then back at Connor.

“What did you find?” I asked him as he shook his head.

“Just the same people. I think some alphas are still working with him but I’m not sure how long,” He explained as I nodded.

I planned to ensure he doesn’t have any of the alphas on his side as allies, by that was also difficult.

“And Alyssa? Did you check on her?” I asked him and for a brief second, he paused, unsure what to say.

“Uhmm… Uh…” he stuttered as I furrowed my eyebrows, wondering why he was suddenly stuttering.

“I saw her from a distance.” He swallowed hard as I narrowed my eyes. What was so difficult about that?

“Really?? How did she look? Is she fine? Does she look happy?” I asked him, as he nodded his head.

“She’s fine” he said to me as I looked at Connor, hoping he would try to understand what he was saying.

“Okay. That’s good then, right?” I asked
