26. Mute Lycan

Esme’s POV

As I turned the corner, Silvan’s familiar scent wafted into my nostrils and I quickened my steps.

I could feel the pull to him grow stronger with every passing hour.

“Esme!” His familiar voice called out and I turned to the side, my heart thudding as I saw him leaning against a sports car that still paled in comparison to how he looked.

“Silvan,” I mumbled, certain that the winds and his sharp hearing would carry my voice to him.

Up until five days ago, this man had been my arch enemy. The one person that I wanted to take out more than anything.

Yet, right now, I wanted to rush into his embrace and my cry my eyes out.

And I did.

I rush at him, I threw my body into his open arms and without even trying, all the tears that I had been holding back come rushing at me.

Silvan’s strong arm wrap around me, making me feel safe and secure but he held my arm and pushed me back after some seconds.
