Chapter 68 - Growth

I rinsed my mouth and looked at Mitne in the mirror as he was looking at me concerned. “Must have been something I ate yesterday,” I said softly and he nodded at me. Food poisoning sucks.

“I will see the doctor when we are back at the castle,” I added, making Mitne relax a bit. I still need to eat though. We went back to the cafeteria and I tried the meat this time. Mitne was watching me with intent and strangely enough, I could keep the meat down. This is something at least.

Mitne relaxed again as he started to eat his leafy greens. Yeah, he is a deer shifter, which means that he doesn’t eat meat. Even as a human he would rather eat soya or something like that, and get his protein another way. He doesn’t mind seeing us eating meat in front of him. He said he is used to it since we are not the first pack he has seen eating meat.
