Inside the tent were cages. Within those cages were people. I heard a baby even cry from within the tent. I stopped walking as I looked at the tent. “Come one, we will deal with them later,” Lucian drew my attention to him. It was as if he knew what I was thinking as I looked at the tent.

He pulled me along and we entered a little coffee shop out of view from the tent. I am concerned and confused at the same time. Was that a slave trader tent? Why would the humans allow something like that in theri city?

“Good day, what can I get for you two?” A female waiter stopped at our table and I snapped my thoughts out of my head. Right, I need to act as if nothing is wrong.

“Coffee please,” I placed my order and Lucian ordered his tea.

“Was that–”

“Yes, that was,”

“Why is there something like that here?” I whispered pointing a thumb over my shoulder.

“I don’t know. I have seen many of them in my lifetime. But we do not know why it is here or why they are here,” Lucian is keeping his voic
