Alicia's POV

Princess Micah's eyes were glaring over. She was flinching and shrinking as blood kept gushing out of her stomach. Her stomach was entirely shredded like the murderer had something hidden in it. It looked like the murder had just occurred recently as the blood was fresh. My legs felt too heavy to move as the scene made my body shiver terribly.

The first statement that rang in my head was "If only I had gone inside the tent earlier"

All of a sudden, I felt her hand stir even in this condition. I rushed to her and grabbed her arm. "Your Highness, what happened? Just hold on for me, ple..ase. I need to go and r.. raise the alarm!" I stuttered and tried to rush outside, but she tapped me instead.

I wept bitterly as blood burst out of her mouth when she wanted to speak, "My baby," she touched her bleeding stomach "Is there a way to save my baby?"

What baby is she talking about?

"Let me go and check for the Royal doctor. Please, my Princess please don't do this to me. oh

  • The Luna's guardian   Miserable and Unfortunate

Alicia's POVThe Royal harbingers ambled inside the prime minister's manor immediately after I wrapped up scrubbing Lady Dia's feet. I swerved in respect and watched with half-lidded eyes as they matched forward to the giant entrance of the building while the guards scurried to open the portico. They were definitely here to convey an important message. I stretched my back and wiped the sweat on my forehead the moment they entered. It had been an exhausting and dampening day. As usual, I wasn't able to avoid Lady Dia's typical abuse of my face. Every single time her eyes came in contact with me, she would land a stinging slap on my cheek, including other unnecessary mistreatment at any slight mistake I made. Lady Dia wasn't that antagonistic when I first got peddled to the family. According to what I heard from the other servants, her severe rigour and bitterness towards me were a result of the crown prince noticing my presence during a ball I was appointed to be her entourage. Alicia's POVLady Dia wandered in before I could utter a word. She was fluttering like an edgy kitty. Her exquisite face was now clouded with fear. She rushed to me and squeezed her hand with mine. With an unwilling smile, she stammers "I ha..ve no idea why the Prince had suddenly summoned you, but you need to understand my reason for maltreating you." She whiffs shamefully. "The first time he acknowledged me was the day he told me to take very good care of you. I was bedazzled by my obsession and hadn't taken his instructions earnestly because I thought your beauty might have overshadowed mine even in your less pricey dress. I still wonder how he saw you when you were not inside the venue" She bites her lips and I gazed at a frozen Bona who has her palm on her mouth in stupefaction."If the harbingers see you in this situation and tell the Prince, it's the end of everything for me and my family" She shudders her head and quivers once more. I abruptly had the notion to embrace her an

  • The Luna's guardian   My mate, my foe

Alicia's POVMy body quaked for a few jiffies by his intimidating voice. I stood up with my trembling leg and stared at him affectionately. It was like I was possessed because I couldn't figure out the fact that the man standing before me was infuriated by my gesture. Why would he be in the first place? He is my betrothed and childhood lover! I expected him to reciprocate the embrace more because I knew him to be the one who loved me the most. He was my saviour in multiple circumstances when we were young. I mobilized the gutsiness to step forward. It was at that instant that I felt the sexual magnet. My body jostled and my core bulged. The only explanation for such a body response could be yielded by nothing but the first meeting with my mate. My eyes burn up lustrously and luminously while my mood swaps into a more thrilling way. I dared to gaze at him as it was an attraction that was transpiring between us. No way he would try to refute me.I thought naively. "Arnold" I calle

Alicia's POV The moment I anticipated one last deep cut, a notification came from a thick voice guard "The Princess of Oceania has arrived, your Highness!!!""I will be there in a few minutes" he answered. "Yes, your Highness," the guard answered loudly. "I want to go back" I whispered. "Just let me go. I promise not to tell anyone about the Prince in disguise" I weep as my lips tremble. I was beginning to feel feverish. "You are still as naive as I could remember. You are not leaving until I tell you to. It's a command, not a statement and if you try to escape, you will be killed by the security guards before I might show up. Be obedient" He muttered rudely and motioned towards the entrance of the majestically built room. I followed behind while blood continued to drop from my neck. I placed my hand on the spot to stop the bleeding until two guards tugged me from the back. I cried out but one of them hurriedly used his strong hand to clasp my mouth. Arnold didn't make a move ab

Alicia's POV"Arnold, I beg of you. For the sake of my deceased parents and that of yours, don't do this" I lowered my voice after realising that crying out made him more enraged. He yanked me by my arm with one swift motion and shoved me to his bed. I tucked my knees into my legs and quivered backwards while still whimpering. I closed my eyes and clasped my hands together as tears dropped continuously. My head was banging earnestly. Arnold sank his knee on the bed and motioned towards me with his manhood dangling shamelessly by his moves. I stiffened when he lowered his mouth to my ear. He then whispered "You don't dare disobey me, Alicia. I don't do mercy. You felt the attraction and arousal in the afternoon, didn't you?""Answer me!" He howled and I sobbed out with my tiny voice. I composed myself and nodded my head. My eyes itch. I was vulnerable. Aaron suddenly snickered, "Will you tell me the location of the ore mine or should I continue?""I will tell you, your Highness"

  • The Luna's guardian   The outcome of extreme hunger

Alicia's POV I was feeling edgy every time I saw the guards scoop their food into their mouths as begging them for some food seemed to be the only option left since the evil server did not show up. I couldn't bear the hunger again and I resolved to wander over to the other side to beg for food but as I was ambling towards that direction, I heard murmurs and silent laughter from the guards that were settling opposite where I was situated. I continued walking and the laughter resumed until I abruptly got dragged into a nearby corner in between two tents. It earned a surprise howl from the guards. I made an effort to cry out but my mouth was covered which made me unable to make any more sounds. The anonymous limped me farther away from the crowded location to through the backyard of the tents. He suddenly halted and shoved me away. I winced as my already weak bone hit a tree. "What do you want from me?" I requested and shifted away as suspicion was slowly building up. Wait w

  • The Luna's guardian   Alluring days

Alicia's POV I knew Arnold was battling with conflicted emotions. I knew that he was trying so hard not to break down tremendously. His mother died and he had to dine with her killers. For years he had carried the wounds and blames even though he only meant well for his people. I can't give him full assurance for his betrayal but I will support him as much as I can. Deep down I just hoped the letter I had given Cone wouldn't sneak out some of his plans as I now comprehended that he has good intentions. If the Royal family knows about any of his plans beforehand, they might use it against him. From what I learned from my father because I was always with him while my mother controlled the affairs of the Park. Father told me that the people are the power of a leader. If the majority of the citizens are against their leader, and they cooperate for what they want, there is nothing the leader can do but please them. With the fact that Arnold wasn't a legitimate son, it wouldn't take lo

Alicia's POVI wiped the tears away from his eyes and he held my hand passionately "My suicide option cleared off my mind a bit when I saw Abel. On that spot, he said he wanted to tell me that his mother had mastered my writing, bribed the guard that was sent to Genovia, and had written more notes on the letter we had sent about them assisting us. She had written that your Park was trying to fight against Genovia because you discovered an ore mine. She intended to get all the ore mine for us alone without knowing that the Genovians are the master of evil plans or probably, she had other plans for doing such a thing. The mention of forming a coup on Genovia made them embark on an unexpected attack on your Park, and our ignorance of the location of the ore mine made them move on hard on my Park." Arnold and I wept bitterly. He tugged my head to himself and placed his head on it. I whimpered loudly until I began to hiccup. Arnold was mute for some time before he proceeded. "Abel w

  • The Luna's guardian   The whole truth

Alicia's POV"It was so hard to accept that I was a son to another man, but I did after he died. I consoled myself that since no one knows, it shouldn't bother me. He had taken care of me and nothing mattered as long as everyone knew that he was my father. He made me pledge to him to take very good care of the Park even though things were hard at that time. I pledged to him and focused on that. I didn't know that my consolation was just blank because my stepmother, Abel's mother, had peeked and overhead us when we were talking." he says which made me raise an eyebrow but I didn't want to interrupt him. Ooh…that explains everything. Abel was Arnold's brother but not related by blood. Does that make them step-brothers too?!Oh yeah. That explains it. But how come I never knew he had a brother by the name of Abel? I only knew Jason. "Are you not surprised by that?" Arnold chuckled bitterly. "Not really" I shrugged my shoulders with my head still on his shoulder. "Why?" he quer

  • The Luna's guardian   No sympathy

Alicia's POV Arnold held up a piece of the perfectly grilled chicken to my mouth, but I tightened my lips in rejection. He places it in my mouth like that for minutes. It was like we were competing on who would give in first. I couldn't keep my lips like that anymore and out of exhaustion, it made me end up loosening my lips. "Stop already," I scolded but he hastily pushed it into my mouth. I stared at him with an unsatisfying expression, but he was rather pleased that he had won. "Eat" he urged and munched on the piece of meat he took for himself. Throughout our eating session, anytime I told him that I was filled up, he would rub my stomach to be assured. If he isn't satisfied with the swelling of my stomach, he won't agree and exhorts me to continue eating until I silently yell at him. "Let's go to my room," Arnold lets out. He hauled me in his arms before I could reply. When he got into his room, he gently positioned me at the edge of his Emperor-size bed and started pulling h

Alicia's POV "Three guards are outside waiting for you! You need to hurriedly shower, and go meet them" My gossip friend shrieked, and pulled me to stand up "I know that you might be tired, but swears all three of them are the personal guards of each Royal individual" she explained further to me who was dozing off while moving to the direction of the bathroom. I only took a shower, brushed my teeth, and went back to dress up. My friend helped me style my hair neatly, and without eating breakfast, I walked out to the entrance of the quarters. I was stunned to see them still there. I slightly bowed and then stared at them one after the other. I recognized one as Princess Micah's personal male guard, the second one as Cone's guard, and the last one was unrecognizable, but was probably a guard of a Prince as my friend mentioned. I wondered what their masters could want from me in the early hours of the morning. "I got here before anyone. Let's go, you do not want to keep the Princess w

  • The Luna's guardian   The villain in disguise

An unknown person's POV "Did you witness the drama that occurred at the court today, Alphonse?" I snickered as I recalled Arnold's replay. "Yes, your Majesty" he nodded his head in disbelief. "Do you believe him?" I ask and smirked but my guard finds it difficult to answer. Everyone else would find it difficult because it wasn't Arnold's thing to say something like that. No one would easily detect him except someone who is extremely observant and has been observing his moves for a long time.No matter how amusing Arnold's tale is, it doesn't change the fact that he has changed. The normal Arnold wouldn't care but rather focus on tormenting the maid even if she wasn't at fault. Today's Arnold wasn't the vicious bastard I used to know. I knew it from that day the Alicia lady had danced. She was someone dear to him. I had wanted to keep a closer look, but it got more intense after it seemed like their relationship was more interesting than I thought. After all these years I had wait
