Chapter 4 - His Arrival

They are set to play their last show of their tour, which is being cut short because per her doctor’s orders she needs to rest. Apparently, she passed out on stage about a month ago and her managers, Mac and his brother, Duncan, her tour manager, had been arguing with her to take it easy.  Oh, and also some psycho stalker has made her the object of his deranged obsession. My family owns one of the best security firms in the world, her manager’s and record company contacted me to take over her private security.

My team and I are heading to Houston for their final show. The 4^th of July is going to be their biggest show to end their tour and it is also Reign’s eighteenth birthday. I will be able to claim her and tell her about me and the rest of my family’s true selves. She and the twins are supposed to pick me and my team up at the airport. My excitement was building to see her, these next few weeks are going to be torture, she won’t feel the same feelings I am until her birthday gets closer and then she’ll really start to feel the mating pull. If we’re lucky, she may feel it when we see each other or when we touch.

Our plane finally landed, and it was hotter than hell, how could anyone live here? How could my siblings deal with this unbearable heat? We exited the plane and made our way to the private lobby area where I was met with a squeal and arms wrapping around my neck.  Damien, I’ve missed you so much.  She sobbed. You big asshat, why didn’t you ever come visit or were never around when we would visit? She asked smacking my arm.

I gave her a tight hug and dropped her to her feet, I missed you too Jazzy Bear. She was looking up at me with the same goofy smile she’s had since she was five. I couldn’t help but chuckle at her.  Sorry Jazzy Bear but the business has grown, and we’ve picked up some really huge contracts. I had to meet with new clients and get their systems set up.  I explained to her with my best pouty face.  Please, forgive me?

Fine. She pouted.  But don’t ever do that again.  She sobbed.  I still need my big brother.  Guilt overcame me, I didn’t realize she felt this way.  I stroked her hair.  I’m sorry. I promise I’ll be around a lot more.  Good, then maybe you can also confess to Reign about being her mate and that you're madly in love with her.  She smiled at me.  Jaz!  I scowled at her.  Don’t worry, we haven’t said anything to her.  She assured with a frown.  But you should!  She scolded.

Wholly hell!! It’s so damn hot!!  Moses groaned.  Oh please, it’s not that hot, it’s only around a hundred degrees with a heat index of one hundred and fifteen, no big deal, don’t be such a wuss.  She chuckled at Moses.  Wholly shitballs, that sweet voice, her sweet scent of roses and strawberries, where is she. I need to see her, I turned and found her beautiful grey eyes gazing back at me smiling.

I’m not a wuss! But c’mon one hundred fifteen? Shit, how do you deal with it?  He groaned.  She laughed at him, such a beautiful sound that has ever hit my ears.  I was born, raised and breed in Texas, so I’m used to it, my advice, try shorts, a tank top and some flip flops.  She said waving her hands up and down her luscious, curvy body.  I couldn’t help but think of the things I could do to her. I gazed at her with longing and the need to have her in my arms. Before I could look away, she caught me looking at her and we both turned away, she was blushing.  Awe she was so adorable when she blushed.  Hey there baby girl. I whispered to her as I walked over to her. She was blushing a whole lot harder.  I love it when she blushes. I extended my hand, as we got closer so she could take my hand,  I stepped closer and pulled her into my arms engulfing her in a strong tight hug. I could feel the sparks shoot through my body. I was pretty sure she felt them also. I heard her inhale sharply and then she leaned into me a little tighter. I brought my head down close to her ear and just inhaled her scent.  I missed you so much.  I whispered in her ear.

She was going to say something but there was tap on my shoulder, Excuse me, Mr. Hunt, a female voice pulled me away from my love. I turned to see the flight attendant looking at me up and down while licking her lips. It was really funny how she was trying to be sexy, but it wasn’t working for her.  The pilot asked to speak with you, she continued licking her lips. She looked ridiculous, little does she know that I have found my love and that she is the one and only woman for me.

Reign pulled away from me, she looked confused and sad. Our moment was ruined, I know she felt something. Ehem, I heard from behind me, are we going to stand here and watch this bitch eye fuck you? Or are we getting out of here? The bags and luggage have been loaded in the cars. My little sister snorted with a scowl on her face. She was very protective my mate.  How dare you!  The attendant spit out.  How DARE me?  How DARE you!  Jazlyn yelled making Koltyn rush to her side.  Ssshhh, my Jazzy love, he whispered and dragged her away from us.

I could feel Reign watching me, I looked over at her, I saw the sadness in her eyes before she could hide it. Dammitt! I grumbled under my breath, this is not how I wanted our courtship to start.  Uhhh, I'll wait in the car, she whispered and made her way to the door before I could say anything. My heart broke, she went from a beautiful smile to a frown.  She wouldn’t even look at me.  This female was now running her hands up and down my arm, she needed to keep her hands off me.  Dammitt!! Keep your filthy hands off me!  I growled at her.  Mr. Hunt, is there a problem?  The pilot came rushing out.  Yes, it seems that your flight attendant doesn’t know how to keep her hands to herself.  I scowled at the female.  She upset my mate, which is unacceptable, and I do not appreciate!  Oh please, she’s just a stupid human! She can’t give you what you need but I can. I understand what you need and how to give it to you.  The female said continuing to run her hands down my chest.  She doesn’t even know she’s your mate.  She smirked.

I grabbed her arms and pushed her away from me.  That’s it!!  I boomed, her and the pilot tilted their heads in submission.  You are not my mate she is the only one who knows what I need.  I looked at the pilot.  We will be leaving for home in a few weeks, she better not be on that flight.  I warned walking away.

My team and siblings were already waiting by the vehicles, Moses was drooling over a purple and pink Challenger Hellcat that turned out to belong to my love. Who knew she was a speed demon? She still looked sad as she talked with Jaz. Jaz had her arm around her shoulder in comfort.

We should get going, I’m sure ya’ll are hungry, I have a table set up at a local barbecue joint. I can take three and the rest can split up in the SUVs over there. There’s a driver for each one for now, at least until you get to my house. Koltyn and Ryott are meeting us at the restaurant.  She said avoiding eye contact with me.

Jyden and Jazlyn each rode in one of the SUV’s, and I, Moses and Shadow rode with Reign. Moses and Shadow squeezed themselves into the backseat, leaving me to sit in the front passenger seat. It was pretty funny watching two six foot seven, almost three-hundred-pound men squeeze into a small backseat. I couldn’t help but laugh at them. Shadow glared at me, and Moses flipped me off.  As soon as she hit the street, she floored it and grinned. I could tell she enjoyed the power of her Hellcat. I smiled and gently brushed my fingers against her hand that she had resting on the arm rest. She glanced over at me, I could tell she felt what I felt, the electricity that shot through our bodies, the wanting, the need, charging through us.  I know she felt it also, I heard her inhale sharply as I brushed my fingers against her hand. I took a chance and intwined my fingers with hers, it was only for a few seconds but that’s all it took to know that she’s really mine. She pulled her hand away and my heart fell, a coldness fell through my body as Ayres whimpered. I knew she was still upset at what happened at the airport.

My work is going to be cut out for me, she knew nothing of who I and my siblings really are.  When we tell her the truth, she may not want anything to do with any of us, just that thought made my heart clench.
