Fighting For My Mate

Great, 

Harper Valintine. The meanest and most volgur woman who bullied me in my old pack was standing there trying to get close to my mate whom seemed to be talking to one of his guards, I smiled as I saw him turn to look at me. But his gaze is what stopped me in my tracks, he did not look welcoming but angry and confused as to why I was even there. 

"Maybe he doesn't want us here?" Gray says nervously, "He seemed fine this morning." Ace said confused as she pushed back to think for a moment as Gray took over, we sat there staring at our mate who seemed more curious as to why we were not approaching him, he stood there watching us to see what we were going to do as if he was afraid we would run away.

His eyes glazed over as a smile was pinned accross his full and soft lips, he begins to walk to me as I get up to head to him. He looked happy to see me and it made me excited to see that he was waiting for my arrival, what I didnt expect was for him to walk past me, turning around I see him greeting a lycan covered in Brown Fur and whom had Blue and Green eyes, sadness filled my heart as I walk to him to speak to him. 

"sebastian?" I say and his body twitches as he turns to look at me, the smile no longer plastered on his lips and the glow he had a second ago in his eyes was now gone. "Sebastian..I came to tell you that...I am wanting to accept you." I say to him as confusion and worry covered his face. 

"I understand, follow me." Sebastian says softly as worry ate at me. I didn't know if he was happy or uncomfortable with me coming here unannounced, I felt as if I was not welcomed. Following him into his pack he stops to talk to a guard who nods and has men cover his border. 

We reach his pack house which was huge, there were many tables and rooms inside of it. He seemed to be greeted by everyone in his pack, they all looked at me curious but not approaching to say anything to me, they would turn their face as we walked to the room that was accross the large table. 

"Make yourself at home, I will have a maid bring you some clothes to change into." Sebastian says as he steps out and closes the door. "That wasnt what I thought our re-uniting would be like." Gray says with a hint of sadness. "We ignored him and ran from him, not to mention, this one here was very closed off to him with her emotions." Ace said in a very annoyed tone. 

"Did I ruin our chance with our mate?" I asked Ace. "No but we are on thin ice girly. Make up your mind and don't play hot and cold with him." Ace said as she blocked me out. Sighing I nodded not noticing that the maid left me some clothes to change into while I chatted with my wolfs. 

I shift back and change, a knock was heard before Sebastian entered the room. "So, what trouble are you in? Is it bad enough that you came here to force yourself to accept me for protection?" Sebastian said as he looked at me with a soft look. One that you would give a child who was lost. 

"I am not in any trouble..I just wanted to accept you as my mate." I say as he nods and sighs, a smirk played on his lips as he threw his head back. "So you are only now wanting to accept me?" he asked sounding annoyed and tired. "What made you change your mind?" He asked me rather quickly as he walked over to the small couch accross the room. his eyes watching me as if I was a threat to him. 

"I realized that I needed to stop denying my feelings for you." I say honestly only to earn a scoff from him, he looked at me aragantly as he nodded. "So he is no longer making you smile? Is that why you came to me?" He said in almost a whisper that I thought i was hearing things.

"Pardon? I don't know whom you are referring to?" I say as he looks at me with a hint of frustration plastered accross his face. "Ignore what I said, Freda will take you to your room. Till I can decide you are telling the truth you are to stay here in my pack. If you choose to leave at any time I will take that as you rejecting me and you will be banished from my pack." Sebastian says as he gets up to walk towards the door. 

I felt happiness and a bit of uncertainty, I was glad my mate was giving me a chance to be able to win them over and more importantly be accepted by them eventually. "Oh another thing, Dinner is at 8 pm sharp. Don't be late." he says sternly as He walks out and leaves me standing there nodding my head like a bobble head. 

Things were finally looking up, but...what about my job? Panic set inside my stomach when Sebastian's words rang in my head, "Till I can decide you are telling the truth you are to stay here in my pack. If you choose to leave at any time I will take that as you rejecting me and you will be banished from my pack." Bile began to crawl up the back of my throat at what would happen if my mate rejected me...but Cherry popped in my head, she was still in the human world and would be abandonded until he decided to accept me or reject me.

The maid Freda who was short about five foot two and looked to weigh only one-hundred and thirty pounds with forest green eyes and light grey hair, she looked to be in her mid fifties as she walked in with a huge smile. "Hello there miss, I will show you to your quarters." She says softly as a smile crawls on her lips as she waits for me to walk with her. I smile back and follow her as she moves through the large area.

It was lively in the pack house as memebers began to swarm in for dinner which was going to be in about an hour, I smiled at all the new faces I was passing but some were not happy that I was there which was very much noticeable given the looks on their faces. 

I smile anyways because I did not want to upset my future pack members with how pittyful I sounded right now, they had every right to be upset with me. How I had been acting with my mate, their king...I had no right to smile right now, they felt anger and disgust with me and my actions. I could understand their resentment towards me and it was going to take a lot to prove to them that I was ready to treat their King right and rule by his side.
