The Beginning!

The full moon was set up high in the sky, it was the perfect opportunity for the wolves to go for their hunting. They usually spend the whole night quenching their thirst for blood. Even their Alpha king couldn’t resist it. As he was busy devouring an innocent animal, he perceived a vampire scent. He jerked his head and stared at the location where the scent came from.

“They are here!” he growled with his thick wolf voice and ran off, running after them. The other wolves ran after him, chasing the vampires. They saw him and was convinced that they had indeed crossed their boundaries.

“Catch them!” the Alpha ordered. They increased their pace but the vampires were much more faster than them. They got to the end of the cliff and jumped to the other side. There was a very huge space between space and in the middle was a mighty rushing water fall. The wolves suddenly stopped at the end of the cliff. Some particles of stone dropped from the cliff. They moved back and stared at the vampires at the other side. They were mocking them. The Alpha was angered, he turned and left.

The vampires feasted together. They had a sense of unity. That was something the wolves lacked. They always had different Alpha, different members in the pack. They weren’t united like the vampires.

In the vampire side of their world, there was no sun. While there was nothing day and night in the wolves side. Their world was created just for them because of their unusual differences and style of living.

The vampires from earlier who broke into the wolves territory entered into the head’s mansion.

“Any luck?” he asked, smiling at them.

“Yes master but we were almost caught” one of them replied and gave them the leaves. They had no idea what he was going to do with the leaves and didn’t bother to ask. They’ve done the job and that’s what they were happy about.

“Be careful next time, run along now” he said, gesturing his hand towards the door. They super speed out of the mansion. The head just risked the lives of his fellow vampire just to satisfy himself. He went into the room and dipped the leaves into a cup of hot water. He stared at his partner that was on the bed, she kept on staring at him with a sexy look. He drank the tea and jumped on the bed.

The school bell rang, all the students closed their books and head to the school canteen. Some of the students were planning to have a party.

“Amy, would you join us this weekend? It’s going to be fun” her best friend, Emma asked her. Amelia Cortez was just a sweet innocent girl, about 5,2 ft tall. She had long straight brown hair with brown eyes. Her nose and lips fits her small face perfectly well. She adjusted the book in her hand and shook her head.

“I don’t think I’d be able to make it. My aunt won’t let me” she replied. Emma sighed and groaned in frustration.

“You haven’t had a chance to hang out with us since we’ve known each other. Come on, just this night. It’s going to be the best, trust me” Emma tried convincing her best friend but Amy just smirked and left to her locker. Emma had other friends to hang out with anytime Amy wasn’t herself. She just loved Amy because she was gentle and she also helped her with a lot of assignments.

“Come on Emma let’s go, I heard there are meat balls today”

She diverted her gaze from Amy and left. She understand the type of aunt she had at home, she was very strict and dangerous.

After school, Amy went home. She met her aunt sitting on the old dirty couch. She hasn’t lived comfortable in her life before. Her parents died when she was a baby. Her aunt chose to raise her up just so that she could treat her as piece of trash. She closed the door and walked towards her.

Her Aunt Kathy was busy carcassing her cat’s fur.

“I’m back aunt” she announced.

“Get the f*ck away from the TV!” Her aunt yelled at her. She nodded and went into her room. She closed the door and flung her bag on the couch. She hasn’t had something to eat since morning. She has been thinking of hanging out with Emma and friends but she knew her aunt’s response would always be no. She just preferred not to ask her at all. She was just going to turn her down. She fell back on the bed and groaned.

Suddenly, she heard some soft bang on the window. She got up and slipped her fingers into her hair.

“Why is he here now?” She asked herself and walked to the window. As she opened it, the stone hit her chest.

“Oh my… I’m sorry Amy, I thought it was still going to be closed” Carlos said.

“It’s okay, I’m fine” she replied, smiling at him.

“I got you something” he waved the white bag at her and threw it at her. She caught it and opened it. She saw it was a warm hamburger. She shot her mouth wide open.

“How did you know I was hungry?” She asked.

“I always know everything” he replied jokingly.

“Why weren’t in school today?” She asked, taking a little bite from the burger.

“Just busy but I’ll be around tomorrow. I’ll come pick you up” he said. She nodded.

“Thank you and… Thanks for this” she said. He waved at her. She closed the window and left. He stared at the window before leaving. She was going to prepare for the chemistry practical test she was having tomorrow.

“Amy!!!!” Her aunt yelled. She groaned silently and left. She went outside the room and stood beside her aunt.

“I’m starving, find me something to eat” she said. She gave Amy some money. Amy knew what she was going to do already. She went into the room and changed her dress. She went to the store immediately.

After getting some things, she went home and made dinner for her aunt. She doesn’t enjoy doing all of the work but she just had to do it. She watched her aunt as she ate the food. She passed the leftovers to Amy which she ate.

The next beautiful morning, it was Friday. Amy had a big test. She heard Carlos car outside the house.

“Bye aunt!” She yelled as she ran out of the house.

“Don’t care!” She yelled in reply.

She got into Carlos car and threw her school bag to the backseat. Carlos wanted to help her with the seatbelt but she chose to help herself.

“You’ve done a lot of things for me, you don’t have to add this also” she said smiling. Carlos wished Amy could just let him help her. He started the car and drove off.

The car was silent till they got to school.

Amy wanted to open the door but Carlos stopped her.

“What?” She asked.

“Let me do this one” he said.

“No, you are a senior. What would the others think of me?” She asked.

“I’m worried about you and you’re worried about what others think of you. Just stay right there” he alight from the car and gently closed the door. The other students stood, watching Carlos. They adored him because he was the cutest in the school. They wondered why he was friends with a mere girl like Amy. What shocked them the most was when he opened the door for her. She came out of the car hugging her school bag. She lowered her gaze shyly. Carlos was fond of making her shy everywhere they go.

“See you later” she said and hurried into the building. He just stood and watched her as she left. A soft smile crept on his face. He diverted his gaze to the weird girls staring at him. He rolled his eyes and walked away. He went to the senior building.
