“So Brennan. It seems so… human compared to the Vampire King.” I started. A slight shudder ran through me, not sure about talking about him out in the open as he’s a boogeyman waiting to pop out. Or being in close proximity to Damien. I didn’t realize how much I had missed his presence.
Damien snorted, but looked away from me. “Brennan was never human. What Cressida said about turning him into the monster, truer words have never been spoken. He always has been bloodthirsty for power, cruel and selfish, only cared what others could do for him.”

“Shit” I breathed out as my back slammed into the ground again. I pushed up as I stared up at Andrus, who had an unimpressed look on his face.He held out his hand and I pushed it away as I got up and faced Jax again with a scowl. “ Tripping me, making me fall is getting old.”Jax smiled and shrugged. “Do something about it then.”I glared.
