Jai ran, splashing on puddles and passing through bushes and trees. He didn’t have time to see how much mud he had gotten on his soles or how dirty his clothes had become, nor did he care for any of that at the moment. The only thing he was thinking right now was remembering the route he had just taken, so that he could lure these creatures out of the forest.
