“How’s Doctor Tate?” Carrola asked, since the last time they met was discussing about disease.
“Turns out, Doctor Tate heard it from someone else, so he recommended the person to me,” Jai said.
“Really? Who did he hear it from?” Carrola asked.
“Another doctor named Prime,” Jai answered.
“Doctor Prime?” Carrola smiled. “Isn’t he the organ specialist from the hospital? Doctor Tate told you to ask him?”
Jai nodded. “It seems like that person is famous. He’s Darrion’s doctor too.”
Darrion looked at him funnily. “Any doctor can be anyone’s doctor, Jai. You make it seem like he’s my doctor being a big deal.”
“You’re ADHD. Your doctor have to be super patient in dealing with you,” Jai told the blon
Jai frowned in confusion. “What do you mean you don’t care?”Darrion also looked at the doctor in confusion.Their food came and Doctor Prime sipped on his ginger tea before he spoke again. “Sorry, young one. This may seem like a conflict of interest, but honestly, I don’t really care. I’m the only one who has the knowledge to save her life. She had been suffering with that disease for a long time, her body is beyond fragile. When I say that I cannot believe she was still alive to this day, I really mean it. That disease she’s suffering from, is a very strong energy that could not be possible for a human to stay alive if they are in direct contact with it. I am not exaggerating,” the doctor shook his head.Jai looked confused as he stared at the doctor.“You saw it yourself yesterday, the girl looked so happy to know she can be cured. She put her hopes on me, and I will not let her down. So I said what
As Jai was thinking, Barun’s figure popped into his mind and immediately reminded him that he actually had the permission to help Miria however he can. The old man was asking for his help after all, so should he plan on doing anything related to helping Miria, it should be fine, right?Jai felt foolish for being swept by the blue-ish atmosphere. The doctor was just telling a story, why should he feel sad too? He swallowed the knot in his throat and shook his head lightly to get rid of the feeling.‘I can feel sorry for him, but I shouldn’t be sad with him too,’ he thought. He looked at the old man who was still hanging his head, feeling miserable for his past.“Umm, doc. I am not trying to dispirit you even further or anything, but I think the father has a right to be mad at you. It was his daughter that you treated and most parents treasure their children,” Jai said, to which the doctor nodded in agreement. “But you sti
Talking to Barun was not a problem as the old man was already asking for his help. He excluded the price part in their conversation as didn’t think it was that necessary to mention. Barun signed the consent paper, and it was safe to say they got the permission to start the process.Jai didn’t right away choose what he’s going to do the next day. But he contemplated. He weighed the options about which one he should do first. He could go to Madam Rue and try asking for a job and possibly about the Honey Pearlet, or he could try to find the Oakshen family by himself to ease Darrion.Speaking of Darrion, Jai was a bit confused by his friend’s behavior after they left Doctor Prime’s office yesterday. The blonde seemed a bit hesitant, and Jai noticed this from how quiet he was being when they returned to his house. Jai assumed that there’s something the windlet wasn’t telling him, but he didn’t know what it is.Squ
Jai ended up leaving three hours later than expected because he was so into the books Sir Rallion had written. That was the first time he knew Darrion’s father’s name. It was unique, like the rest of the people in here. But somehow, he was thinking ravioli when he read the name. But it was just his weird mind messing around.Darrion’s father, Rallion, wrote so many books about plants and herbs from all over the world. He didn’t just write those in the Aeronvein, but also plants the Fire Kingdom, the Earth Kingdom, and the Water Kingdom. It was also at that time that Jai finally learned about the other kingdoms’ names. He might’ve heard it somewhere from someone else, but it didn’t finally sink in until then. The Fire Kingdom was Pyreblair Kingdom, which sounded quite intimidating. The Earth Kingdom was Bouldren Gordhum, he finally learned the spelling after being confused by Darrion when Galum left. Lastly, the Water Kingdom which nam
“Say… Are you and Miria into that kind of relationship?” Darrion asked when they were flying above the forest. The air was breezing refreshingly as they were in the air, contrast to the ugly scene of the dead forest below them. Jai looked at him, confused. “What kind of relationship?” “Well…” the blonde tilted his head a bit in hesitation. “You asked her to pack your clothes instead of packing it yourself… I was thinking you trust her with packing your undergarments…?” Jai stared at the blonde for a few seconds before he blinked and asked. “If I slap you, will we fall to the ground and die?” Darrion jolted a bit in fear, understanding that he just asked a stupid question but didn’t want to admit it. “Wh-What?! W-Why do you want to slap me? I’m only asking a question!” “Well it’s ridiculous,” Jai looked at him flatly. “You just started a conversation about undergarments, that is already inappropriate.” “Sorry, dude! I was only curious a
“Welcome to my house, brother Jai!” the little girl welcomed him as they entered the house.Jai looked around a bit and just took in the surroundings. The lobby, or living room, was wide. It was probably a 7x7 meters wide, and there were two stairs across the room, leading to the second floor. There were also doors on both sides of the room, and two more doors just beside the stairs in the same floor. It was not this large when they saw it from above, but actually entering it is a whole different story. Especially with all the decors. The ground was dark tiled and adorned with red carpet. The walls were cream colored with dark brown wood for its bottom half. There were also potted plants, some big sized potted plants that Jai thought must be planted for the sake of nature element in the room. There was also two wooden statues with different poses on each side of the stairs, and it looked a tad bit fancy since they looked like they’re
They went to the second floor and entered the door in the end of the room. Upon entering, Jai saw a bigger chandelier in front of them and railing that stretched surrounding the wide gaping space in the middle of the room. They walked along the right side of the railing as Jai turned his attention to the floor below. It seemed that he was wrong to assume the previous room was the living room. That was really just a lobby while this one definitely looked more like a living room. Jai could see couches in under their first position of entrance. Walking to the end of the room, he also saw a wide carpet below with two small bookshelves, low coffee table and cushions. On the side of the room across from them, still in the lower ground, there was a fireplace, and there were some couches and one more wide carpet, possibly to relax. There were a few medium sized potted plants to spice up the color a little bit.Jai frowned as he observed the floor fr
Jai listened to Helen’s instructions about the little girl which was not at all hard for him. He just had to make sure she’s eating properly because she couldn’t eat by herself. He also has to tuck her in at eight PM.“Don’t leave me if I’m not sleeping yet, brother Jai. I’m only six, the beasts can eat me,” Alyssa, the little girl, said.Jai was slightly surprised when he knew she was only six, because she looked smarter than that. But he smiled and nodded at her. “Sure. I’ll make sure you’re safe before leaving you to these lovely guardians.”Alyssa looked at him, confused. “Guardians?”Jai nodded before gesturing to the three dog beast in the room. “Kiki, Olsen, and Hugo are your guardians, right?”Alyssa’s eyes widened as she looked at her dog beast, fascination could be seen on her face. “Guardians…”Kiki and Olsen we
