276 - Just a normal day
The next day, Jai trained the village kids again. Since he was finally free, he thought that he should give them a piece of his attention. Again, it was nothing strenuous for children. Just some exercises and a one-two for beginners. The kids were excited to be train with him and they soaked all of his lessons in. Although they didn’t do as well as he had thought, he dismissed it as normal because they were just children.
He didn’t do it very well either in the first few times of his training, so who was he to judge?
Darrion came by in the middle of the day to deliver the official letter for the supposed holiday. The letter said that the event would be held in the weekend, which would be in three days, and they would be touring around the famous landmarks in the kingdom.

It was now weekend and the time for the event. In the letter, it was said that the winners must arrive at the Grand Square by 8 in the morning which means that Jai had to depart at around 6 o’clock from the village due to the distance. The letter also said that they will be accompanied by the King and the royal family after their first round of tour outside the castle walls.Upon knowing about this, there was a bit of a chaos inside Barun’s humble abode. The commotion mainly came from Miria who was concerned that Jai wouldn’t have ‘decent’ clothes to meet with the king.“But Miria, I met the king when they announced the winner,” Jai said.Miria looked at him with a frown in her face, clearly disagreeing with him. “But that’s after you were fighting. Since he didn’t want to ruin his clothes with sweat, he took his walk as relaxed as possible. He had thought about this when Miria was making a commotion about his outfit today. Apparently, the Minister knew that Jai would be coming early. So he purposefully wrote the letter sent to Jai with one hour earlier than the supposed hour. Jai told him it was rather unnecessary to put one hour early in the letter because he would always depart two hours earlier. The voice of this figure was unusual. It was like it was hovering over the border of feminine and masculine, indistinguishable and unknown.The sound of painful shrieks echoed from the tentacled bushes in front of them. Those mandrakes, as they were known as, were sitting on the ground and hugging their own leafy body with their tentacles, shivering as they tried to get away from the light balls that were heating them. But their effort was to no avail as the balls were surrounding them. They whimpered as the balls kept on flying extremely closer to them every few seconds.
