Apparently, the Minister knew that Jai would be coming early. So he purposefully wrote the letter sent to Jai with one hour earlier than the supposed hour. Jai told him it was rather unnecessary to put one hour early in the letter because he would always depart two hours earlier. The Minister replied that he did that because he wanted Jai to take a rest before they start the tour.
Jai chuckled as he lowered his cup. “Yes, but an hour early? I think ten minutes is enough for my legs to recover two hours long walk, sir.”
The Minister smiled, swallowing his biscuits. “Aah yes. I think I agree with you on that one. You’re a fighter. Two hours walk is nothing to your well-built body. Still, I prefer my guests comfortable and fresh,” the Minister said with a wink.

An hour before…“Are you sure about this, sire?” a figure cloaked in black robe and pointy top asked. Its face was as black as the night save for the two shiny circles on the place of its eyes. The voice of this figure was unusual. It was like it was hovering over the border of feminine and masculine, indistinguishable and unknown.The sound of painful shrieks echoed from the tentacled bushes in front of them. Those mandrakes, as they were known as, were sitting on the ground and hugging their own leafy body with their tentacles, shivering as they tried to get away from the light balls that were heating them. But their effort was to no avail as the balls were surrounding them. They whimpered as the balls kept on flying extremely closer to them every few seconds. “How can Fire Drakes cross into our border? It’s not even that hot in here!” one of the two soldiers exclaimed as they rode their lizards across the plains. The lizards chirped as they ran past the grasses and rocks.“I don’t know. But we have to make sure it’s not bringing more of its friends here,” the other soldier said. “How come the border didn’t tell us anything about this?!”“Man, I’m sure we’re wondering the same thing as the sergeant. With their joint air current , Darrion and Raka raised the drakes fifty feet into the air while Ruhan and Oki struggled to pull Mugen downward and away from the drakes. Being wind elemers, they must have the ability to bend the air to their will, so they were using their ability to the most right now. Lifting something, apparently, wasn’t something anybody can do. To Darrion, it may seem nothing as he had been doing to Jai several times. But it turned out to be not an easy feat. Because Raka and Ruhan had some kind of trouble keeping up with the windlets. The drakes had somehow realized that their tentacles were being pulled, so they tried to pull back and gave the wind elemers a hard time. However, fortunately for them, Carrola was there, and he was able to support them with more air pressure to keep the drakes afloat while also pulling Mugen down. When both Mugen and the drakes were already far enough from each other, Torfo became ablaze once again. Bara ran below

Mugen was brought to the infirmary in the biggest windmill. The farmers immediately helped Carrola cleaned the boy up and assessed his condition. After a semi thorough assessment that could only be done with the Seeing Hands skill, Carrola declared that Mugen had a few broken and some cracked ribs, particularly on his stomach area. It was no wonder since he was held by, although not all, multiple tentacles at once. The pressure should be more devastating than that and Mugen might’ve been a dead man if not for the fact that the drakes were already weakened to such a state. Mugen was a lucky man. But he wasn’t lucky enough to avoid some of his ribs broken. At least, he’s still breathing and that’s what matters. “We have to get you to the hospital, Mugen,” Carrola said.
