2021-02-03 08:30:11Cool breeze blew around Jai’s body. It should’ve been cool and soothing, but it’s not. Jai gritted his teeth and sucked in his breath, producing a sound that is a long letter S as he felt the stinging sensation on his skin.
It reminded him of the time when he as still training with his grandfather. Every evening he would be uncomfortable to sit because of the bruises and blisters he got. His grandfather would give him an ointment to help reduce the pain, and the salve did help. But it stings when it was applied, even though it was cool and soothing later on.
So maybe the feeling wasn’t the same after all. But the contrast might be the one that made him nostalgic for a little bit.
Darrion sat by the bed on the side and looked at him with slight doubt and confusion. Then he turned to the medics who replaced him, “Hey guys, are you sure this is going to help him? He looked in pain.”
