Third Person’s Point of View

The ice prince knew something was wrong with his mate the moment he pushed Heli away when they returned to the palace. Heli knew he had been too clingy for the past few days that had passed, and yet he wasn’t embarrassed or apologetic about it. He knew his mate didn’t mind. He can even say Akiro actually likes it.

He knows Akiro wouldn’t tolerate it if he becomes too overbearing on his clinginess, but his mate let him without a single complaint, even if his siblings and their fated mates teased him about how suffocating he was over his mate. Akiro just shook his head and laughed it off, neither denying nor agreeing. But Heli knew it was the former.

Other times, Heli would’ve believed his mate’s reason when he didn’t let the prince come with him in his grandparents’ room. But Heli thinks he knows his mate better than that, especially after the past few days that he stayed by his side and all they do is kiss and talk. He loves learning something about Akiro,

Third Person’s Point of ViewFive days had passed and yet Heli still hadn't confronted Akiro about the incident in the town. It’s not for the lack of trying. Heli tried, but his mate kept on evading it. The first time he tried to ask Akiro about it, his mate seemed to know what the talk was about. He had tried to evade answering by subtly trying to change the topic, and when he noticed that Heli seemed to start getting annoyed, he resorted to seducing the vampire by kissing him messily. And who was Heli to reject that? Despite his conviction to learn what happened from Akiro himself, and to know what’s going on inside his mate’s mind, he still can’t find himself to pull away from the intense and messy make-out session. After what seemed like hours, Akiro promptly fell asleep. The second time Heli tried to open the conversation, Akiro used his grandparents and Shiro as an excuse. Heli had no qualms pulling him away from the kitchen, and it seemed like Akiro knew that as well, because

Third Person’s Point of View“Do you think he’d agree?” Queen Camilla asked her husband, brows furrowed in concern. The King glanced at his wife, smiling reassuringly. “He will.”The Queen bit her lips, still hesitating. Thousands of negative thoughts swirl inside her mind, and her heart aches at the thought it’d be his son who would suffer the consequences if it fails.Though it seemed the King had noticed her internal crisis, his hands reached out to his mate’s face. “It’ll be alright, Cami. He’ll agree; I’m sure of that.”“How? Even I hadn’t See it happening,” the woman replied. But the King just smiled. ###Akiro groaned. “Stop being annoying and just help me with this, will you?” he grumbled at his friend, who was cackling maniacally after teasing him about his burnt cookies.“How the hell can I help you with that? It’s not salvageable anymore!”“And whose fault is that? You distracted me when I was supposed to get it out of the oven!”“Oh, please. Stop using me as an excuse fo

Third Person’s Point of View“Do I really need to do this?” Akiro asked, face pleading at his mate, who smirked at him.“Of course. We’ll dance in front of the guests and our family. We have to give them a show.”Akiro huffed. “But I can’t dance!”The vampire raised an eyebrow. “Oh? But I can still perfectly remember you dancing with a stranger in a bar,” Heli said. “Sexy dance, if I might add.”Akiro blushed at the reminder. “T-that’s different! I’m drunk then! I didn’t know what exactly I was doing!”“Uh-huh. And yet you still kept a cool head to stop the girl when she was about to throw herself at you,” Heli’s eyes turn dark at the memory of the girl’s pathetic attempt at flirting and seducing his mate, who wasn’t even into girls. “That’s because even in my drunken state, I know my preferences.”Heli raised an eyebrow, dark eyes staring intensely at his mate. “Oh?” he mumbled lowly. “So if it was a guy, you’d flirt back?”Akiro’s eyes widened, knowing full well he had made a trap

  • The Last Chosen Mate   Prologue

THE Crown Prince was lazily strolling inside the Royal Palace of Regia Solaria. It was the weekend, and so he was free of any duty, and he used it to wander around. Training endlessly to become the next ruler of their kingdom is exhausting, and he felt so trapped inside the training room that if he stayed for another day, he might just get suffocated. And his mate was busy doing other things since it was also her day off from training. So here he is now, wandering around aimlessly. He lets his feet lead him anywhere, uncaring of where he ends up. Much to his surprise, he saw himself in front of the Royal Vault. He wasn’t exactly drawn by it, but then he wasn’t really focusing on any destination and let himself walk anywhere around the castle. So he couldn’t say why his feet brought him here.Shrugging— and then he looked around, nervous that his mother might see it— he went inside the Royal Vault. It was dark inside, with only a few torches lighting up the place. He could spot some g

  • The Last Chosen Mate   Chapter 1: A Strange Man

Akiro’s Point of View “A PENNY for your thoughts, pretty boy?” I laughed awkwardly when Jake wrapped his arm on my shoulder, setting aside my worries as I took the drink from his hand. “Nothing worthy to tell.” “If it’s not worthwhile, then better not think more about it, yeah? We’re here to party and forget about university stuff! So stop brooding here and join the games!” He left me with no choice when he pulled me inside the Morrisons’ mansion— a prominent name in our city because of their business and wealth. Jake directed me towards the pool at the back, where everyone was. “'I’ve got a pretty boy here everyone!” Jake announced as soon as he stepped outside to the pool area, successfully grabbing all the people’s attention. They applauded loudly, some even hollering and whistling. I chuckled at their reaction. I was pulled at every corner, someone handing me beverages and joining me to their games. This is one of the few moments where I felt disgruntled over my popularity

  • The Last Chosen Mate   Chapter 2: Succumbing to Fate

Heli's Point of View IT WAS a bad idea to go to the private sitting room. I should've gone to the library like I originally intended to do. Now I'm forced to endure my mother's neverending reprimanding. "What were you thinking, going to the human world dressed like that?!" Mother frowned at me. "Don't you know how much attention that cape would attract? No one wears that kind of clothing anymore!" I refrained myself from sighing because that would irritate her even more. Father might lock me in my room if Mother came running to him, telling how much of an insolent child I am acting again. "No one saw me, Mother. Everyone's inside that house," I said. "Still! What if someone comes out?" Mother insisted. "You have to be careful when going to the human world, Helios. You should know how to blend with those humans. I'll have Hendrix and his mate teach you." "What? I don't have time for lessons! I should be convincing my mate to come with me here," I protested, frowning. "H

  • The Last Chosen Mate   Chapter 3: Prank

Akiro’s Point of View I YAWNED for the nth time, unconsciously scratching my chest as that unfamiliar thing inside my chest happened again. “Coffee, Aki?” “Yes, please,” I mumbled, ducking my head on the dining table. “Akiro. Table etiquette,” my grandfather reprimanded. I slowly lifted my head. “Yes, grandpa. I’m sorry.” He halted from what he was doing, pulling down the newspaper he was reading so he could look at me with narrowed eyes. “Why are you so pale? And your eyes look dark. Did you not sleep well?” I shook my head. “I slept well, grandpa. I don’t know why I’m looking and feeling like this as well.” “Maybe a fever?” Grandma chimed in, setting down the coffee in front of me before putting the back of her hand on my forehead and neck. “No. It’s not a fever either. You’re not hot. In fact, you are so cold. As cold as a corpse.” I was about to make a joke about corpses and vampires when I noticed my grandparents seemed to freeze on their spot. They were looking at each

  • The Last Chosen Mate   Chapter 116: Petty

Third Person’s Point of View“Hey,” Akiro greeted the girls, smiling innocently. “Are you going to buy as well? Their products are cheap but high-quality. I can attest to that.”The woman in the middle, the same girl who had bragged and belittled him weeks ago, frowned at him. “Excuse me? Why would I buy in this... cheap shop? When I could afford the most expensive ones?”Akiro shrugged. “If you’re not going to buy, then why did you come here?”“You— don’t you remember me?” the girl asked, brows furrowed. “No...?” Akiro tilted his head, furrowing his brows and feigning confusion. “Have we met before?”“She’s the youngest daughter of the third most elite vampire! How can you not know her?” one of the girls spoke, the indignation in her tone heavy. “Oh, really?” Akiro gasped, looking at the girl with wide eyes. The girl seemed satisfied with his reaction, evident by the way she puffed out her chest. But it quickly faded when Akiro added: “I apologise, but I don’t remember knowing anyo

  • The Last Chosen Mate   Chapter 115: Vindictive

Third Person’s Point of ViewAkiro knew his mate was possessive, but he didn’t know the full extent of it. When Akiro returned to their room after the excruciating conversation he had with Shiro, all blushing mess, Heli wasted no time in kissing the hell out of him. Akiro didn’t know his mate was there, so it shocked him quite a bit, but not enough to pull away.Heli didn’t let him leave the room for the next few days. It’s either they stay in their room, he’ll accompany Akiro to his grandparents, or they’ll go out of the palace together. The vampire hadn’t let him leave his sight for once, and he always makes sure he’s clinging on to Akiro no matter what the human does and where the human goes.Akiro thought being in a relationship with someone so possessive and clingy like Heli would be suffocating. It’s what he always says to his friends in the human world. He wants a relationship where he can move and act freely without his partner breathing down on his neck every minute of the d

  • The Last Chosen Mate   Chapter 114: Looks

Third Person’s Point of ViewBreakfast the next day was weird. Akiro feels deeply unsettled with the way everyone, including Hale, was shooting glances at him. When he turned to Heli, hoping that the vampire knew what was going on with his family, the man just shrugged.Though despite his curiosity and confusion, Akiro didn’t approach them to ask. Instead, he made his way towards the kitchen. He wanted to talk to Shiro. It was his idea after all. So after breakfast, he tells Heli his plan to meet his friend while the vampire goes to his own agenda for that day.But it wasn’t just Heli’s family that was giving him that unsettling look. The servants he passed by would look at him and then turn to each other, whispering to themselves. The knights just shot him one look he couldn’t comprehend before they returned the stoic expression on their faces. It drives him insane to be on the receiving end of those looks. He doesn’t even know why they’re looking at him like that!He marched towards

  • The Last Chosen Mate   Chapter 113: Want

[Note: Pure R-18 chapter!]Third Person’s Point of ViewHeli feels like he’s dreaming, or probably daydreaming? Hallucinating? He’s not sure. But one thing he’s certain: he’s so fucking hard right now. So hard that he might freeze the whole kingdom if he didn’t come any moment.Because his gorgeous, sexy mate just asked if he could suck his dick. His virgin mate who never had any romantic or sexual relationship in his twenty years of living. His mate who was now on his knees, facing his clothed erection, but his eyes were looking at him with nervous anticipation.Heli swallowed thickly.“Aki... are you sure about this?” Heli asked. “I don’t want you to regret it after. If it was just a heat-in-the-moment idea, I wouldn’t be mad.”Akiro frowned for a moment. “This isn’t a heat-in-the-moment idea, Heli. And rest assured, I won’t regret this. You know how I agreed to complete the bond, right?”“Is this...”The human shakes his head. “No, this isn’t that yet. It’s just... preparation. Yo
