I couldn't help the tears that ran down my cheeks as I ran away. My feet moved swiftly regardless, wanting to take me away from the pain I felt in that moment. Thoughts of all the wrongs had been done whirred through my mind like a windmill, and I knew deep within me that running away was the only thing left to do.
