Chapter 113

I felt my heart pounding in my chest, my body trembling with a sense of dread as I saw the life drain away from my father right in front of me.

It was almost too much to bear, knowing that this man who had been such a powerful presence in my life for the longest time was now gone. He wasn't there to offer guidance and support anymore or answer any of the questions that hung heavy on my mind.
