[Present]

“Your mind is elsewhere, Solana,” Kiera said. She was finally up after sleeping like a log for the past hours. She sat down trying to start a conversation with her. Solana was quiet, she has always been after knowing what she really is.

“Why does it have to be me?” Kiera asked. ‘Because I’ll use you as a bait’ Solana wanted to say that but she can’t. She raised her eyebrows and looked at Kiera.

“Does it look like I have a reference? You just happen to be the first person I saw,” she lied.

“There were rumours, you know. About a non-human abducting teenager,” It was the first time Solana heard of it. The two other betas were also listening. Solana scrunched her eyebrow.

“It’s not me,” Solana said. Kiera knew that, because if it was her then she would probably have at least 15 betas in her pack right now.

“Then probably another Alpha,” Kiera said. Damian and Juls laughed, it was hard not to. “That can’t be, Kier,” said Damian. Kiera’s eyes were fixated on him with a face asking ‘why not?’

“Solana is the only Alpha left alive,” he added. Kiera thought that it was impossible, but she can’t say it. It was like Solana’s skinning her alive with the way she looks at her. ‘Don’t any a damn word or I’ll murder you’ she was scared of death so she just stayed silent.

What Kiera said hadn't left Solana's mind. Hunters? No, she said that it was a non-human, A beta? but Illac and Foire must have been notified if that were the case then. Solana was cracking the wits out of her brain but it just ended up with stress and frustration. She just can’t wrap her head around it.

Solana doesn’t want to ask Kiera about the rumours because she might ask for something in return.

“Full moon is in two days, what do you plan on doing?” Damian asked Juls. Kiera was quietly listening to the two betas. The full moon was the hardest to deal with, you turn into a wolf every full moon when you still can’t control your shifting.

“I don’t know. I’d probably chain myself,” Juls said. Kiera’s eyes widened. They must be joking right?

“C-chain?” Kiera interrupted. She was laughing nervously while asking Damian and Juls. There is not a way that they’d actually do that right?

“Yeah, Solana used to put us inside a coffin and bury us underground when we experienced the first full moon,” said Damian casually. The nervous laugh of Kiera turned into a cold sweat. Coffin? Bury? Is it really bad during the full moon? She didn’t think this process through, Solana didn’t even say a word to her about it and now the full moon is only three nights away? They must be kidding her.

“Will she do that to me as well?” she asked.

“Beats me, maybe she’d be more lenient on you because you’re a girl,” said Juls not looking at her. Is he implying that I can’t take the pain because ‘I’m a girl’?

Kiera scoffed. If there is one toxic thing about Kiera is that she’s full of pride. She stood up looking highly and walked in front of Julian.

“Huh,” Julian said. Kiera can only think of one thing and that is she doesn’t like Julian at all.

“Solana! Bury me on the night of the full moon!” Kiera said with utter competitiveness. She’s screwed she thinks, but she doesn’t want to back down.

“If you say so,” Julian said and walked out. Damian from behind chuckled. “Excuse his behavior, he just doesn’t like girls his age.”

“He’s weird,”

“Pft. yeah sure, he is,”

 --

“Found them yet?” Foire said impatiently. He was eager to find Solana. He doesn’t particularly hate her, but he doesn’t like her either.

“Calm your horses, Foire. How will this beautiful necromancer be able to focus if you keep on pestering her?” Iliac said trying to flirt with the necromancer they went to.

“Shouldn’t it be fast? It was only a fucking dagger what’s taking so long?” Foire had been complaining for about 1 straight hour now.

“Kala won’t like this, Illac. You know that.” He said again. Iliac’s expression changed. He is not a fan of Kala, but he does what he wants because Foire was fond of him ever since they were little.

“Kala, Kala. You know, when the war comes he’d kill us too.” Illac said with a cold tone. Illac and Foire grew up together with Kala’s daughter, they even joked about them wanting to turn into a human just to be with the family. Foire believed that Kala treats them as a family and refused to hear what Illac says every time they talk about the war that will emerge.

Foire stayed silent. Arguing with his brother isn’t worth it. Foire doesn’t want to admit it, but he knows that Kala is just using them. They never had a family, so he was happy when Kala took them in, feed them, dressed them, educated them, trained them, everything they know was given by Kala. Even the position they are in right now, it was all because Kala taught them things that parents do for their children, that is why he’d do anything for Kala even if it means letting him kill him. But right now, he needs to find her. It was a miracle to know that there is a descendant from the wretched Velvela, and Kala wants her alive.

“I found them,” said the necromancer. Illac whistles and grabs the necromancer’s waist.

“Well, thank you, love,” he said and let go. The necromancer was blushing. What a tactic. Using his flirting ability to not pay.

“Where are they?” Foire asked. The necromancer was still distracted because of Illac’s flirtiness and was not able to answer Foire’s question

“Where are they?!” Foire yelled.

The necromancer gasped, “Imperio. They’re in Imperio,”

Foire went out of the necromancer’s cabin while Illac is still bidding his farewell. Such a flirt.

“Are you done flirting?” asked Foire to his brother.

“Yeah, she’s a 5,”

“I don’t care.”

“I know,”

Foire’s mind was already set. He’s going to capture Solana whatever it takes. He’s not seeing Kala empty-handed.

“Stop reminiscing,” Nerissa said to Solana firmly. She was busy casting a spell that detects whether or not someone is after them. Solana’s forehead furrowed and looked at Nerissa muttering incantations.“Someone found us,” said Nerissa. Solana scoffed. She knew exactly who found them. Foire and Illac, abiding by Kala’s command. Solana has the slightest idea of how Foire and Illac managed to find them. First, the dagger that Illac threw at her has some kind of tracking spell, or, second, the dagger is linked to Illac and asked for a necromancer to find where it is. There are others too but it was complicated.Kiera, Damian, and Juls are lined up horizontally waiting for their Alpha to give them directions. They’re cute, like puppies that is what Solana thinks. Soon, these three betas will help her, especially Kiera. She just knew it. “Are we going to fight?” Juls raised the question since none asks about what they’re going to do. The only thing that amu

“We won’t attack now?” Foire said to Illac with nothing but confusion in his tone. Illac had decided to at least give Solana and her group of clowns a time to bid their farewell to one another. “Yeah, take it as my kind gesture,” he said that annoyed Foire down to his tail. They are currently waiting in their den around Satan because Illac figured that they could use some rest first but obviously, Foire isn’t a big fan of his selfish decision. “You’re kidding,” Foire said. His head is about to erupt any minute now. He doesn’t understand why is there a need to rest. “Nah, it’s quite a task capturing her so I say that we prepare then attack them during nightfall,” Illac said while yawning. Foire doesn’t know what to think, maybe his brother is tricking him into giving up because, after all, it is in their nature. “And if they know that we were coming?” Foire raised a question that Illac didn’t think of. “Then it’s up to-” “You? Kiera and Damian managed to shake off the ghouls that were on their tail for at least half an hour. Their speed started to pace down in the middle of the forests near the Daemoniom area. Kiera is still not familiar with the places in the supernatural border and was shocked to see that it is almost the same as humanity. She hopped out of Damian's back to let him change into his human form. Kiera's eyes were examining the place they were in. Tall trees blocking the night sky, and there are music and noises that repel throughout the forest. Damian changed back into his human form with no clothes on. "One problem," he said to Kiera that was still examining the forest. Kiera slightly turned her head to see if Damian's already changed into his human form and was caught in surprise that the boy is not wearing any clothes on. "I got no clothes," "Why do you have no clothes?" Kiera asked emphasizing the words. She was embarrassed for no reason and flustered. S

Blair scoffed while ragging Julian's unconscious body to Daemoniom. She was pissed but at the same time please even if Foire and Illac contacted her last minute to take care of a little lost werewolf. "Can't believe he called me a hybrid. I hate this disguise, why do I even have to wear this crook? Ugh," she said. Blair is one from Foire's and Illac's inner circle in the supernatural border. She was a necromancer capable of almost everything, even killing by just using her mind. The means of transport in the supernatural border are the necromancer's tele magic. Blair thinks it was fun toying with Julian because he doesn't really care about his surroundings, but it is a shame that he didn't notice it as fast as Blair anticipated. "He must be dumb," she said as she lies down Julian body and recited an incantation. Compared to other necromancers, Blair's magic has always been incomparable, tele magic would usually drain out a quarter of a necromancer's m

The wind is started blowing everything away, followed by crows flying out of their nest with their noisy sounds, and Solana is in the middle standing looking from her front, behind, and sides. Fog covers her sense of sight but she can hear them, smell them, and feel them. She didn't expect Foire and Illac to bring companions. "Give me back Juls," Solana said still being alert to her surroundings. Blair rolled her eyes and moved her hands sideways. The wind followed her rhythm and made a hash. Elliot ran towards Solana in an instant as if he is walking with the wind. Solana grinned, sure enough, werewolves are fast but a vampire's speed is on another level. She didn't know that Foire and Illac got a vampire friend and a lunatic necromancer. "This isn't looking fair, don't you think?" Solana protested. If this would actually end up in a four versus one sight then she has no choice but to shift. She never shifts into her wolf form even in fighting but looking in

Foire has always been keeping his strength on the limit especially his fire because if it gets too hot, the fox inside him will devour him into whole leaving nothing behind. Unlike Illac's thunder, he and his fox are getting along and has the same mindset on the battlefield. Illac said, "He's unleashing a beast," while smirking looking proud and at the same time thankful that he can witness his brothers full potential. Maybe there is something about Solana that triggered Foire, or maybe it is just the fact that she is Solana. Solana looked at Foire who is channelling every ounce of his fire coating himself in it, and because her attention is all focused on Foire, the raging Elliot who is pissed for being stabbed by a branched run towards Solana and kick her from the back with his heel tip. Solana groaned, she didn't manage to avoid the attack and its impact is much powerful than the one Elliot give earlier. "Damn vampire getting a fucking power-up," she said

Solana stepped back, exhaling sharply, she focused her mind not minding the noise in her surroundings. She inhaled and exhaled, calm breathes. "I am strong, I am the Alpha, I am strong, I am the Alpha, " she whispered reciting the mantra she jots down a year ago when she was learning how to control her shift. It was like a routine for her, now every time she shifts, she recites it. It makes her shift at ease in a swift. Foire and the rest were startled, not moving a muscle. An Alpha shifting into its wolf form isn't something that they've already seen, as a matter of fact, no one has for the past 20 years. It's a history only during the present time. A vanta black fur, smooth and shines down the moonlight with its bright scarlet red eyes. Solana shifted, and they were all jaw dropped. Foire scoffed, who knew that Solana would pull that card? Elliot can't comprehend the sensation he is feeling. It was as if love at first sight but not in the same matter. He wa

"Why are you on your knees?" "Praying, asking God to get your ass here and help me," Solana said to her. Nerissa scoffed, Solana's attitude is sharp but she can deal with it. Blair grunted and looked at Nerissa. "Delvaux," she said. Having Nerissa in the battled field doesn't mean the assurance that they'll win. Nerissa knows spells more compared to Blair, but Blair has the mana needed, after all, Blair is an amateur but powerful. A novice necromancer like her tends to seek help but she refused, so she practices them all by herself. "Wher did you sent them?" Solana asked. Nerissa countered Blair's blood boil giving her a minor shockwave in her brain to make her lose focus. "You know," said Nerissa. Solana get up and covered her body with the shawl that Nerissa bought. She didn't really think that Solana would shift but she brought one just in case. "Well, what do we do?" "We are not going to fight, that's for sure," "Then we ru

"What are they doing here?!" Nerissa looked at Illac furiously and walked towards him. She was battle-ready the moment she saw Elliot and Lucas behind Illac and Lorcan. The sun is about to set and they are getting ready, Illac has already informed Elliot and Lucas about the truce he made together with Solana's betas and Azazel's daughter, which turned out to make more sense to the both of them since Illac has got nothing to do with Solana in the first place.Elliot looked at Nerissa and cannot help but see Azazel's resemblance to her. He looked away and grinned his teeth, he have been loyal to her father and yet Azazel just ended up using him as well. Everything and everyone to him is just his tool based on what suits and is convenient for him."We will need them," Illac said looking at Nerissa. "You are claustrophobic?" Solana said irritatingly. She brushed her hair pushed back and bit her lower lips while looking unbelievably at Athalia. She does not mean any criticism but how can she be a hunter with a fear of tight places? Is that not what a hunter usual do, go in tight places and wait for their 'prey' and shoot them dead? "You have been asking me, and for the tenth time, yes!Ugh!" Athalia said rolling her eyes. She has been walking front and back getting uneasy because of Solana's repeated question. "Okay, but I do not care. Get inside the vent or die here," Solana said sharply and kicked the ventilation open, it is not even that tight in Solana's opinion. Solana slowly put her right leg in an arched position as she slowly crawls her way inside the vent. She looked at the way ahead of her and just hissed, it is tight. She moved backwards slowly went out of the vent and placed her right foot on the ground to support her weight. She si

"Illac are you sure about this?" Lorcan asked. They are on their way back to convince Elliot and Lucas. If the two of them agrees, then Illac will be able to bring Lorcan inside humanity's border as well."Yes, with the right motivation," Illac said confidently. They are leaping through the top of the trees making it their own personal playground, i is not even close to a monkey bar but this is their way of relieving the weight of the lives on their shoulder. It is not like they are going to pursue the both of them, making Elliot agree is enough because that automatically means that Lucas is with them too, however, his personality does not like picking sides even if he does it subconsciously with Elliot. Illac does not know if Elliot will be tempted to his offer, but he has no other options. He did not tell Nerissa and the others about it because they will surely forbid him from doing so, hopefully, they do not have to find out.

"Ahh!" Solana screamed in agonizing pain. Ten minutes after Sybil left, Solana felt like despair she had never felt. Her rage, all her hatred, she does not know who deserves it more, but one thing is clear for her. It was like a fog inside her mind cleared up and from there, her true motive, her goal, her desire was shown. Kala and the woman who abandoned her and used her until now deserves to die.Solana tried getting out of the bed but every time she moves, she was being electrocuted. She screamed and screamed, but all her efforts did not work. She does not even have enough strength to go on. She has not been eating for a week now since Sybil had kept her locked, this was the first time she had seen her after a week and it turned out she is her mother who played her life as if it was a doll. She was her mother's puppet without her knowing. Solana saw the truth in her mother's eyes, it was not just Kala who wants to obliterate the supernatural from the beginning, Sybil wante

Illac punched the wall which made a big crack, his fists are closed and his jaw is clenched. Just when things are one step closer to rescuing Solana, Athalia was found by Kala and whoever that woman he heard at Athalia's end of the call."Fuck it," Illac muttered and kicked the chair where Lorcan is sitting. The chair collapsed because of the amount of momentum from Illac's kick that made Lorcan fall to the floor."What happened?" He asked. Illac did not look at him, instead, he grunted and threw all the books he have on the shelf. It is exactly what Lorcan thinks, something bad must have happened. Lorcan stood up and wipe the scrapes from the chair that Illac wrecked."We need to move, Illac said hastily that made Lorcan eyes widened. He is not thinking straight right now, he is rushing his decision without thinking about it. Illac has never done anything like this, so why is he doing this right now?"Illac, it is dangerous," Lorcan sai

Athalia looked from right to left to check if there is any hunters patrolling. This is not the time she watched them so she does not know if there is anyone near Sybil's room. She was careful at each step she takes, if she pulls this off, then they might just rescue Solana and not let her end up dead."Are you near the room?" Illac asked. Athalia rolled her eyes, he has been asking her the same question ten times already. She called Illac just in case something happens, he will know what it is."No, will you shut up and stop asking me. I told you that I will update you, did I not?" Athalia said whispering. She takes double precautions, she does not know what will welcome her along the way so it is best to be prepared.Illac's end of the line became quiet. Finally, Athalia thinks. She looked at the door of Sybil's room, the last time she checked her monitor, she was still inside her dad's lounge and has not come out. She must be contemplating th

One week passed, Athalia have been watching Sybil and her dad, she even had a micro cam and mic installed in the lounge to get whatever she needs, but they barely mention Solana. She has been giving details to Illac as well regarding the room where she found Sybil the moment she came back."Is there anything aside from the room you are suspicious of?" Illac asked at the end of the line. Athalia sighed before answering him."No, but I have been watching them, all I need is to get the key to confirm it. I am gambling at this anyway," Athalia said while talking to the phone with Illac."Make sure that you are gambling for the right one, Tally. We would not want to have any inconveniences and get Solana killed," Illac said. Athalia can feel the seriousness from his voice at the end of the phone line. Athalia cannot mention Sybil's name because she does not even suppose to know about her in the first place, Kala had her hidden until Athalia saw the
