Chapter 5 The Truth

My dad looked at him with hatred. Even Doodle bared its teeth and growled viciously at him.

Doodle was my dog.

Ever since I started dating William, I sent Doodle to live with my dad because William didn't like dogs. His attitude toward Doodle was so terrible that I had to make a choice. In the end, I sent Doodle away.

At that moment, I wanted to hug my dad and stroke Doodle. I was devastated.

William didn't show any signs of anger. Instead, he handed over a ring box and said calmly, "Mr. Jenkins, Sarah and I had a little fight. Everyone told me that she's dead, but I don't believe it. I think they're just lying to me. This is the ring I prepared for her. When we got engaged, I didn't have time to give it to her."
