Chapter 3 Don't Regret Your Words

William took out his phone and hesitated for a long time before finally calling me. He pursed his lips into a tight line as he seemed nervous about the call.

"William."

It was Jessica.

Clearly, William recognized her voice as well. He said nonchalantly, "Please let Sarah answer the phone."

"Sarah can't take your call," Jessica said coldly.

William was taken aback by her words. Then, he sneered and said, "What game is she playing this time? A small explosion in the lab is hardly a big deal. She's a seasoned professor. How can she handle things so carelessly and still expect her students to respect her?"

"You truly are heartless." Jessica barked.

William was unhappy. "Are you standing up for her? Although you two have a close relationship, you should at least know what's right and what's wrong! I saw it with my own eyes.
