Moose was enjoying a game of capture the flag when suddenly, he felt the urge to find Kir.
Moose was used to strange things happening around the Bastet siblings, but never in his wildest dreams would he ever expect to be connected to the alpha in such a way that he immediately grew anxious upon being incapable of finding her right away. Moose’s instincts led him towards the forest that he had discovered Kir in earlier today. As he approached his destination, Moose immediately noticed the copper smell of blood and a bright light. As the light faded, Moose was horrified to find Kir’s throat with dried blood across it as she stood staring at the man that called himself Asher.Moose’s first reaction was to run over to Kir, who was no longer sporting her blonde wig, but rather her natural midnight blue wavy locks. Moose quickly examined her throat and looked up at Kir, relieved that she seemed to be alright. That was until he looked into her eyes and saw that they were no longer her icy blue, but a much darker shade of blue, comparable only to that of a sapphire.Suddenly, the boy named Asher spoke. "I'm so sorry Kir, please forgive me." The boy said almost inaudibly. Moose looked between Kir and Asher, trying to figure out what might’ve happened before he arrived and what may have happened if he hadn’t felt the need to show up.Kir looked at Moose silently before saying, "Asher, we will never speak of what happened here and it will never happen again." Kir paused, "Moose, I need you to take me home, immediately, please. If the others ask, I was called away on royal business. Do we all understand?" Kir paused for a moment before heading towards the parking lot for Moose’s car. Mooses looked at Asher and quickly told him, “I don’t know what happened and I don’t care to know what happened, but you had better thank your goddess that it was me that showed up and not one of the others or else you would’ve been dead before you could blink.” Moose stated to the boy before running to catch up with Kir."Kir, I really think we need to talk about what happened back there. I mean Asher is ou-" Kir put a wall up, interrupting Kirala's words. Kir knew that she should talk to Asher about what happened back there, but Kir didn’t think she had even fully processed the meaning of it all yet.‘I can't talk to Kirala about it right now either because she already made up her mind about what she wants to do. I certainly can't tell Roo, he would kill Asher on the spot without a second thought. I could tell Kaoru, but then he would tell Kilo and Kilo would tell Roo anyway, since he doesn't like Asher either…’ Kir thought to herself.Kir looked over at Moose who’d been silent since we left the academy grounds. “Moose, if I tell you what happened back there, will you promise not to tell another living soul?” The reptilian man stayed silent until we reached the gates of my house, the Bastet Manor. "Honestly Kir, I'm not even sure if I want to know. However if you wish to tell me then I will keep quiet until you tell me otherwise. You are my alpha and to my alpha I swear to stay true and loyal until the end of times." The man quoted part of the oath he took on the day that he chose to become a member of Majestic Moon, Kir’s pack. "I do think that you should wait to tell me until we are away from prying eyes though." Moose suggested as we pulled up to the entrance of the main house.Kir and Moose entered the house and decided to go to the stables since it is the only private area on the compound other than my bedroom, which is off-limits for obvious reasons. ‘Can't have the maids spreading rumors that the princess brought a dragon to her private quarters in the middle of the day.’ Kir reminded myself. "Alright, what happened? Why were you alone in the forest with that guy and why did you have blood on your throat?! What was that strange light and what happened to your wig?!" Moose berated Kir with questions as soon as they were sure that there were no prying eyes or ears in the area. "Calm down Moose, I promise I'll explain as much as possible." Kir assured him. -Flashback to the events in the forest-Asher came back looking distraught after his phone call ended. Kir opened her mouth to ask if Asher was alright, but before a sound could come out of her mouth, Asher quickly buried his fangs into her throat.Everything went white for a moment before Kir regained her bearings and shoved the man off herself. The next word that came out of his mouth caused kir to begin shaking."Mate." Asher said as he looked at Kir, completely dumbfounded about the new discovery.Kir snarled, “I don’t care what your goddess tells you, I am NOT your mate, I will never be your mate, mates do not attack each other the way you just attacked me.” Asher stumbled on his words for a moment before he countered back, “I didn’t know until after I bit you. Goddess, what are we going to do now?”Asher looked panicked as he asked his goddess for advice. Kir could no longer hold back her emotions as she was overwhelmed by anger and confusion."Why did this have to happen now?! Why couldn't it be someone else?! Now everything is so complicated!" Asher drowned in his thoughts as he saw a light coming from where Kir was standing moments ago.Asher looked up and his jaw dropped to the floor, the blonde-haired princess that the world knows now had blue hair, her eyes that were usually a calming icy blue was now a deep sapphire shade and her beautiful tan skin was now pale as snow. Asher stared at the woman in utter dismay, “Is this truly the heiress to the Kayanadian throne?” Asher asked himself as he heard footsteps approaching and the light surrounding Kir began to fade. The man that introduced himself as Moose earlier ran over to Kir and Asher stifled a growl as he watched him inspect his newfound mate. Asher looked at Kir and the only words that he was able to form were, “I’m so sorry Kir, please forgive me.” Though the words came out much quieter than he meant them to. Asher paused, wondering if maybe she couldn’t hear him.Just as Asher was about to repeat himself, Kir spoke. “Asher, we will never speak of what happened here and it will never happen again. Moose, I need you to take me home, immediately, please. If the others ask, I was called away on royal business. Do we all understand?” Kir asked, though her tone told Asher that there was no room for argument, she had made up her mind."Whoa..." Is all Moose was able to come up with for a response to the new information. As Moose slowly processed everything that Kir had told me, he felt complete and utter rage at the man who dared to bite the princess."I'll kill him!" Asher yelled as he turned to walk away. Kir grabbed his arm, stopping him from leaving.“Please Moose, swear to me that you will let me handle this and that you will never tell another person.” Kir pleaded, causing him to sigh. "Alpha, I swear to you that I will allow you to decide what action to take and that I will never speak of this." Moose responded before adding, “but in return, I wish for you to appoint me as your bodyguard, I will stand by your side and protect you. Whenever you need me, I will be here.” Kir looked at Asher with a smile on her face before speaking, “Moose Dragolifia, from this day forward you will be by my side always, you will protect me when there is danger, and you will assist me in future battles, starting today you will not only by my bodyguard, but my most trusted advisor as well.” Kir said before speaking the ancient language of her ancestors for making a spiritual contract. Moose looked over at Kir and asked her. “Sooooo ….. Are you going to reject him? Wait….” Moose paused, “do you maybe like him? Do you think he’s hot? Do you want him?” Moose laughed and wiggled his eyebrows, however his laughter quickly died down upon seeing the blush on her face. ‘Oh dear, someone please save this poor girl’s soul…’With Kir away on business for the rest of the school day, Inuharu figured, ‘why not play hooky myself? I deserve a break for being such a great brother Hell, I deserve a whole friggin paid vacation for the amount of energy I use trying to keep all these boys away from Kir!!’ Inuharu continued to amuse himself with thoughts of taking a vacation and maybe even convince his precious angel to come with him as he walked to his Harley. Inuharu mounted his beautiful black and red motorcycle and headed to his favorite underground club. Inuharu groaned with irritation upon entering the doors and seeing that the twins also decided to visit his favorite club. As Inuharu began to pass their table, he couldn’t help but listen to part of their conversation. "Do you think that it's a coincidence that both Kir and Moose had to go to this random meeting together?" Kaoru asked his brother. "What are you trying to get at exactly Kao
For every royal, no matter what species you are, there will always come a time where your parents' decisions affect your future. For our young princess, Kir, there is no exception. As we enter the Royal Bastet Manor, we see a mysterious black car pulling up to the gates. The driver was an older looking man with black sunglasses on his face and a large muscular arm resting outside the car window, pokes his head out for a moment to speak inaudibly to the gatekeeper before pulling the car to the front steps of the large house. Meanwhile Kir was still sound asleep in her bedroom, no doubt exhausted from the previous day's events. ‘Knock Knock’ came from the other side of Kir's door and the princess began to stir. ‘KNOCK KNOCK’ came even louder this time and Kir jumped out of bed. "Who is it??" She shouted from her bed as she stretched. "Your majesty, you have a young man downsta
Renay walked into the mansion that she once called home and looked around for her children when she spotted her beloved son, Inuharu walking in from the backyard, looking extremely upset. "What's wrong my dear Roo?" Renay asked just before the boy passed her. Inuharu looked up at her and froze, mouth agape. "What? Why? How?" The boy stumbled out before running to Renay for an embrace."Haha, all in due time my dear, now tell me, what's got you looking so down?" Renay inquired again. Inuharu sighed before explaining to her the events of the last twenty-four hours. Renay paused to think for a moment, letting the information process before responding. “Well, I guess the cat’s out of the bag now. Might as well tell the two of you everything from the beginning.: Renay said while looking around. "And where might your sister be anyway? I have yet to see her." Renay questioned Roo. "She's by the old hangout talking to Luca." He responded while pointing outside. Renay walked out the door
As we approach Magdalia Academy for another day of school for the supernatural teenagers, we see Princess Kir walking onto campus with a new man sticking closely to her side. The princess appears to be very upset by her companion's presence as she suddenly turns and begins yelling at him for some unknown reason. From across the courtyard the Regaldi twins can be seen watching the young couple from afar, accompanied by a bristling Inuharu and an amused Moose. The couple seem to have settled their argument as they continue walking towards the doors to the school, however their walk is once again interrupted, this time by a nervous looking Kir staring into the distance."Come on Kir, stop being so mad at me already. How was I supposed to tell you that I was going to be enrolled into your school when I didn't even know it myself until I was already on my way here?" Luca asked an extremely upset Kir for the umpteenth time.
"LUCA PUT HIM DOWN, RIGHT NOW!" Asher heard someone yell from across the room. When he looked over in the direction the voice came from, Asher was completely shocked to see that it was actually Kaoru, one of the Regaldi twins, who came to my rescue against Kir’s angry fiancé. "I'll kill him!" Luca said as he tightened his grip on Asher’s throat. Asher looked over at Kir and saw her frozen to the spot, yet he couldn’t blame her. ‘What are you supposed to do when your fiancé is attempting to strangle your mate for trying to kiss you?.....I really need to get some control over myself soon....’ "Luca, let him go already, you're causing more problems for Kir right now." Moose calmly intervened, while walking towards Kir. Asher didn’t fight back, not only because he knew that it was pointless, but also because he knew that it would only make matters worse if the two of them were to get into an all-out brawl,
The bell for lunch rang as Kir headed back inside the academy, so she headed over to the cafeteria to grab herself some food. Using her abilities always took a lot out of her, but nothing took more energy out of Kir than using her blood to perform an injury transfer. There was only one problem. Kir found herself craving only one thing at that moment, Asher’s blood. Kir shook her head and decided to go to the only person that could help her right then, Kaoru Regaldi. Kir spotted the black-haired man, sporting his signature royal blue tie that many thought was the only difference between him and his purple tie wearing twin. What was funny thought, was that there were many things that make their identities easy to notice, but only Moose and Kir had ever been capable of realizing that Kaoru sports an emerald green wolf insignia ring, his counterpart, Kilo, actually wore an amethyst demon insignia ring. "Kaoru, I need your help,
Saturday, December 25th, Bastet Mansion, Kir Bastet's 17th birthday. All of the other royal families had been waiting for this event since the birth of the princess was announced. All royals and upper-class members are invited to this, once in a lifetime, event where the princess will be finally making her official debut as the next queen of Kayanadia. Suitors are lined up at the front gates, members of the Bastet family sitting in the courtyard, waiting for the party to begin, and where is the star of this event? Hiding in her room, panicking over all the possible things that could go wrong during tonight's soiree. "Moose, what am I going to do?! What if Lord Luca tries to kill Asher?! What if I lose control over my powers?! What if....oh gods!! What if Roo causes a scene???" The princess cried to Lord Moose. "Don't worry, Alpha, we already prepared plenty of security and made certain that Luca's table is on the oppos
THIS CHAPTER INCLUDES ADULT CONTENT AND ILLEGAL UNDERAGE DRINKING-Author: I do not condone underage drinking, the drinking involved in this chapter is solely for the purpose of the story and is not meant to encourage anyone to repeat behavior seen in this story-Kaoru felt like a coward for running away from the woman that he’d been in love with his entire life. He knew it was cowardly, but he couldn’t think of anything else to do when he saw Asher, Roo, and Luca go up to that stage and call her their mate. ‘How is it even possible for Kir to have multiple mates?.... I hope that nobody saw me.’ "You're not just a coward Kaoru, you're also a disappointment. How many more signs do you need before you finally accept the truth?" Leon, Kaoru’s wolf, said to him. "You know what Leon, I already know that I'm being an idiot, no need to rub it in." Kaoru said back to him. "I wish I could just
When the brown haired male enters the house, he's met with a fist to his face. "Okay.. I deserve that." He says as he holds his now bleeding nose. "Who the hell are you?" Inuharu growls as he goes in for another punch. Valentine grabs Inuharu's arm to prevent him from hitting the man again. "I wouldn't do that, Roo. Look at your sister." Valentine points towards Kir. Kir's nose trickles blood, causing Roo to look between her and the man he just punched in the face. "What the hell.. " He says, completely confused by this string of events. "Well Kotar, you have some explaining to do." Valentine says with a grunt. Kotar looks at Kir's unconscious body and ignores everyone else. "Is she okay? I know the bond connects the pair but I didn't know it could do something like this." Kotar says as he takes a step closer. Alex gives Kotar a warning growl, making him step back. "And who are you? Last I checked, even royals are subjected to the demon exile." Kotar sneers. Alex huffs as he turns
"Oh yeah.. I forgot about that part." Alex says as he scratches his head with embarrassment. "So what are we going to do then? Is he going to send me back? Or do you think he'll kill me for this?" Alex asks as he tries to read Kir's expressionless face. "Well if he was able to kill you then he would've already done it. My guess is that this mark thing prevents him from doing that but that's just a theory so we shouldn't get too far ahead of ourselves yet." Kir concludes as she looks away from Alex's gaze. "One more thing." Alex starts. "Why are you avoiding eye contact with me?" He asks as he steps closer to Kir. Kir seems to panic a bit as her voice wavers, "I-i.. I'm not avoiding anything, Alex." Alex takes another step near her, only a few centimeters apart now. "Kir." He whispers in her ear. Kir's eyes shoot over to Alex's, a deep blue that flickers to black every few seconds. "Well that's new. What does black mean?" He asks as he gen
Alex doesn't have much time to watch Kir and Luca's match as he is pushed from behind. He turns around and sees Kilo glaring at him. Alex sighs, realizing that he has a lot of explaining to do. But he's not given much chance to speak before Kilo lunges at him. "Wait.. Can we just talk for a second?" Alex says while barely dodging Kilo's flurry of punches. "No talking! You sat with us while we were all worried about Kir! And you didn't say a word about knowing where she was or that you had been with her!" Kilo growls as he throws more punches.Alex snarls at the accusations but tries to remain calm as he continues to dodge. "If you would just listen to me.. " Alex starts but Kilo's fist makes contact with his ribs. Alex stumbles backward and coughs. "Damn it! Just listen!" Alex shouts as he rushes Kilo. Landing a kick to Kilo's ribs and watching him fly backwards, Alex feels a wave of satisfaction. His moment is cut short as Kilo shifts to his wolf and launches himself at Alex. Alex
"Umm.. Well.. Uhh.. " Kotar struggles to find the right answer. Kir giggles as she sits up and climbs onto his lap, face-to-face with Kotar while her hands are draped over his shoulders. Kotar inhales sharply as he tries to look away. The sly female wraps her legs around her companion's waist as she makes him face her. "What's wrong? Cat got your tongue?" She teases. The male visibly gulps as his pulse rises. "K-Kir… what are y-you doing.. " He asks shakily. Kir uses her nail to trace along Kotar's neck as she stares into his brown eyes. "I'd like to ask you the same thing, why have you been exuding those pheromones ever since we entered the room?" She whispers into his ear, causing Kotar to shiver. It takes Kotar a moment to realize what she had said as he snaps out of his daze and looks around the room. Sure enough the entire room was filled with pink clouds of smoke. He looks between the pink clouds and the woman on his lap, unsure of what to do at this moment and feeling very e
Kir continues to run around until reaching the parking lot of a strange looking club. She enters the club with her head held high, loving the glances she receives while walking around. She walks up to the bar and takes a seat. "What can I get ya?" The bartender asks without looking at her. "I'll take a club soda for now." Kir responds as she keeps her eyes on the crowd at the dance floor. "Got it." He replies back and pours her drink. The bartender turns to give Kir her drink but upon seeing her, he freezes and drops her drink. Before the drink can hit the ground and shatter, Kir quickly hops over the bar and grabs it. "Thanks." He says while continuing to gawk at the girl. Kir looks at the man and smiles sweetly, "you should be more careful next time. And you might wanna close your mouth Kilo, wouldn't want a bug to fly in there." Kilo blinks several times before speaking, "what are you doing here? You're supposed to be at home with your parents, Roo is going to freak out when he f
After Kir agrees, Linaria brings her out to her real house. Kir stares in awe at all of the gadgets and weapons that are on display throughout the cabin. "This is where Asher and I have been staying. That other house is owned by my parents. This one, however, was bought by Asher as a way to hide from our parents whenever we wanted to get away or needed to focus. It's also where we spent the majority of our time. There are three bedrooms here, you can either take his room or the guest room while you're here." Linaria explains excitedly.Kir continues to look around while speaking, "so you guys really were assassins? Does that mean you two trained a lot? I can't imagine being an assassin is an easy job.." Linaria chuckles, "we did do a lot of training. Speaking of which, I heard that you really like combat and sparring. If that's true then I suppose I could show you to the gym portion of the house."Kir's eyes immediately light up at the mention of a gym. "Really? Can I use it? Do you ha
-3rd person-Kir looks between the unknown woman and the exit, trying to decide what to do. "Alright, calm down. We don't have to talk right now but at least stay after the party is over so I can give you something. Then you can decide what you want to do." The girl offers. Kir's eyes change from blue to red and back to blue while she stares at the other female, obviously struggling to figure out how to respond. Kir inhales and speaks calmly, "alright, I'll stay. What's your name? I don't remember that person ever mentioning a sister." "Linaria Romanov, but you can call me Lina. Thank you for agreeing to stay, I hope you enjoy yourself for the remainder of the party." Lina says with sincerity. "Trust me, I will." Kir responds in a menacing tone as she walks back to the dance floor. Linaria watches Kir, curious as to why her tone had sounded so strange. "Hey Lina, have you seen Benny?" Milo asks from behind her. "Hmm? No, why?" She asks wit
-Kir's POV-After getting dragged home by my father, I was met with a frantic Renay pacing around our living room. "I'm home." I said in a monotone voice. I wish they hadn't spoiled my fun. It's not like I killed anyone…yet. "What is the matter with you?! I spent sixteen years training you how to act in public and the moment I'm gone you decide to go ballistic?! How am I supposed to trust you to rule this kingdom that I built if you act like this?" Valentine scolds me the moment the front door is shut. I stay silent as my parents rant about my bad behavior. "Valentine, there lies the problem right there! You TRAINED her, you didn't raise her. Obviously you pushed her too hard while I was gone and that's why she's acting like this now." My mother scolds him. "All the blame goes on me? You're the one who abandoned our children and left me to take care of them on my own! It's no wonder she's acting out, she obviously takes after her mother!"
A young man with black hair and seafoam green eyes walks into the academy courtyard with confidence. He looks around, seemingly searching for something. He hears the men in front of him speaking and can't help but listen in on their conversation.“So you never ended up finding her again after that? Where do you think she went then?” Kilo asked his friend while they continued to walk towards the courtyard. “Honestly, I have no clue. We checked all of her usual hiding places and even asked around about a blue-haired girl, but nobody had seen her. I’m getting really worried too.” Inuharu responded back. The young male looks up and comments to himself, "Well, then. I didn’t realize this school was so lenient.” He chuckles to himself as he spots a blue haired female feeding on a young male in the distance. Kilo heard the man behind them speaking and couldn’t help but look in his direction. “What are you talking about?” Kilo asked the man with confusion, thinking th
