My Brother's Dark Secret

With Kir away on business for the rest of the school day, Inuharu figured, ‘why not play hooky myself? I deserve a break for being such a great brother Hell, I deserve a whole friggin paid vacation for the amount of energy I use trying to keep all these boys away from Kir!!’

Inuharu continued to amuse himself with thoughts of taking a vacation and maybe even convince his precious angel to come with him as he walked to his Harley. Inuharu mounted his beautiful black and red motorcycle and headed to his favorite underground club.

Inuharu groaned with irritation upon entering the doors and seeing that the twins also decided to visit his favorite club. As Inuharu began to pass their table, he couldn’t help but listen to part of their conversation.

"Do you think that it's a coincidence that both Kir and Moose had to go to this random meeting together?" Kaoru asked his brother.

"What are you trying to get at exactly Kaoru? You think that our innocent princess is sneaking around with the youngest Dragolifia?"

"I mean, yeah Moose is definitely popular, but him and Kir? No way! Besides if Kir were to be sneaking around with anyone, it would probably be me. After all, I am the hot twin." Kilo said, before realizing that Inuharu was behind him.

Inuharu tapped Kilo’s shoulder with a smile, the moment Kilo turned around his face instantly showed regret and horror.

"What was that you were just saying about my sister?" Inuharu asked while continuing to smile.

"U-uh um.....n-nothing Roo....K-Kir is amazing and would n-never do anything like that with anyone." Kilo stuttered out.

Without thinking Kaoru stepped in. "Come on Roo, you can pretend all you want around Kir, but we already know that you're no different than us. The only reason you don't want anyone else to have Kir is so that you can have her for yourself."

"But I mean come on, what do you honestly think is going to happen once Kir realizes that you've been lying to her all this time? You honestly think that she will fall in love with you, after she finds out that you're not actually related to her?" Kaoru pointed out, though he immediately regretted his words upon looking at Roo's dark expression.

Kaoru decided that it might be best to leave the club before Roo ripped his head off his shoulders. Kaoru got up and quickly walked away from the table, keeping an eye on Roo to guarantee that he didn’t decide to follow him and finish the job.

Kaoru successfully made it to his car and quickly got in and took a breath before looking up to see Roo in front of his car….

Kaoru hastily started the engine and backed out of the parking lot as fast as possible. The moment Kaoru got out of the parking lot he took off speeding down the road. Not slowing down until he arrived at the door of the Regaldi Mansion.

After scaring Kaoru away, Inuharu walked back to the table and saw that Kilo had also left. Which made Inuharu glad as he could finally have some peace.

Inuharu called over a waitress and ordered some buffalo wings and a large Mountain Dew. As he waited for the waitress to come back with his order, Inuharu noticed a familiar looking flame-haired man on the dancefloor, dancing with a few women.

Inuharu scowled as he watched the man obviously enjoying the company. Remembering how just a few hours ago Inuharu was trying to keep him away from his sister and now here he was flirting with someone new.

"Goddess, please don't ever allow Kir's mate to end up anything like this playboy." Inuharu prayed silently.

Just as his order arrived, Inuharu spotted Kir enter the club with none other than Moose himself. If it weren’t for the fact that Inuharu knew the dragon wasn’t interested in his sister, he would probably kill him for being alone with her.

Suddenly, Kaoru’s words from earlier came back to him. ‘The only reason you don’t want anyone else to have Kir is so that you can have her for yourself.’

Inuharu sighed because, deep down, Kaoru and him both knew that it was true. Inuharu was hopelessly in love with Kir just like the twins were.

However, Inuharu knew that nothing could ever happen between the two of them as they are siblings, even if not by blood. Kir truly believed that Inuharu was her big brother, so that’s what he will be for her, even if it killed him. Inuharu would always put Kir and her feelings first.

However, I knew that nothing could ever happen between the two of us as we are siblings, even if not by blood. Kir truly believed that I'm her big brother so that's what I will be for her, even if it kills me, I will always put Kir and her feelings first.

Moose and Kir decided to go to the club to relax after their long day, however the moment Kir entered she instantly regretted the decision. Kir walked through the doors and spotted Roo, looking at them with a strange expression, but that wasn’t what made her regret coming here.

No, what made her regret coming here was looking over at the dancefloor and spotting the man that called her his mate just a few hours ago, now dancing with three different women.

It was like a slap to the face to see him enjoying the attention of those trollops so soon after discovering that they were destined mates.

Kir may not have accepted the mate bond, however I didn’t reject it either, so to see him give up so easily was extremely painful.

"Hey, if you wanted, we could just tell Roo that Asher's your mate. Then you wouldn't have to deal with that player." Moose said, trying, unsuccessfully, to comfort me.

Kir shook her head, “you know what, no, screw this! I came here to relax and have fun and I’m not going to let that pierced monkey ruin it for me!” Kir spotted Kilo on the other side of the room, sitting by himself while watching the dancers.

"Come on Moose! I've got a plan." Kir said as she pulled Moose with her towards Kilo.

"Kilo, come dance with us!" Kir said as they stopped in front of Kilo for a moment before she pulled him along with Moose to the dancefloor.

The entire time the three of them were dancing and laughing, making her completely forget about all of the craziness of her first day at school. Kir was having so much fun in fact, she completely forgot that both Asher and Roo were in the club as well.

That was, until Kir suddenly felt herself get pulled away from her friends and into the arms of her big brother.

"Little sister, how rude of you to come in here and not even invite your big brother to have the first dance." Roo said in a fake hurt tone.

Kir looked over her shoulder and at her brother and laughed. “Oh please! What sixteen year old wants to dance with her big brother at a club?”

Kir watched as all hell broke loose, one second she was joking with her brother and the next Asher was holding me in his arms while growling at Roo.

"Get your hands off of her, you filthy mongrel!" Kir heard Roo shout.

"Filthy mongrel? You're the one that needs to stay away from her!" Asher growled out at Roo.

"She's my sister, why the hell should I have to stay away from her?!" Roo snarled back.

"Inuharu, you can't fool me! I heard everything!! You're not even related to her! So stay the hell away from my mate, you lying flea bag!"

Kir saw Roo freeze upon hearing Asher’s words.

"What the hell is he talking about Roo?!" Kir stared at her brother who remained frozen in place.

"Ask the twins if you don't believe me." Asher defended himself. Kir looked over at Kilo who had his head down, covering his face, telling her all she needed to know.

So what did Kir do? She ran, She ran as fast and as far as I could, to the only place that she knew she could be alone.

-Asher right before going to the dancefloor-

‘How am I supposed to deal with all of this? First, I'm stuck at the school on a mission to find out all of the princess's secrets, then I find out that she's my mate. And then my boss calls to tell me that I'm supposed to bring her to HQ.’ Asher thought as he walked through the strange club when he happened to overhear Kaoru talking to Inuharu.

"Come on Roo, you can pretend all you want around Kir, but we already know that you're no different than us. The only reason you don't want anyone else to have Kir is so that you can have her for yourself."

"But I mean, come on, what do you honestly think is going to happen once Kir realizes that you've been lying to her all this time? You really think that she will fall in love with you after she finds out that you're not actually related to her?"

‘Wait.....what? No, now it all makes sense. Inuharu should've been the rightful heir since he's the eldest, but he can't take the throne if he isn't actually a royal. That's why Kir was named the heir to the throne, because she's the only Bastet child with royal blood.’ Asher thought to himself.

‘And Inuharu being so against Kir having males anywhere near her. Because he wants her for himself… everything's adding up now!’ Asher thought to himself as the new information started making him feel dizzy.

When a young woman and her friend suddenly came up to me, asking me to dance with them, Asher decided to go with them to try and clear his clouded mind.

After about an hour of dancing, Asher stopped in his tracks because in that moment, he looked up and saw Kir in Inuharu’s arms, laughing with him, causing him to lose all common sense as he rushed over to his mate.

Asher quickly grabbed Kir and pulled her over to him, away from the man who pretends to be related to his mate just so he can be close to her.

"Get your hands off of her, you filthy mongrel!" The man yelled at me.

"Filthy mongrel? You're the one that needs to stay away from her!" Asher growled as he tried to step closer to them.

"She's my sister, why the hell should I have to stay away from her?!" Inuharu snarled at me.

"Inuharu, you can't fool me! I heard everything!! You're not even related to her! So stay the hell away from my mate, you lying flea bag!"

Asher knew that he had won the moment he saw Inuharu freeze from the shock of his knowledge.

"What the hell is he talking about Roo?!" Kir asked, seemingly bewildered.

"Ask the twins if you don't believe me." Asher stated in self-defence.

Asher watched as his mate looked over at her friend, for some kind of response. However the boy had his head bowed, covering his face.

That seemed to clarify things for his mate as she broke out of Asher’s grasp and ran off so fast that, if he hadn’t seen it himself, he probably wouldn’t have believed it was even possible.

"Great job, all of you! You've all messed up pretty badly this time." The man named Moose said with an angry huff.

"All of you need to stay away from Alpha. And a good idea might be to talk amongst each other to figure out how the hell you're going to be able to fix this." Moose grumbled before stalking off to go find the princess.
