"LUCA PUT HIM DOWN, RIGHT NOW!" Asher heard someone yell from across the room. When he looked over in the direction the voice came from, Asher was completely shocked to see that it was actually Kaoru, one of the Regaldi twins, who came to my rescue against Kir’s angry fiancé.
"I'll kill him!" Luca said as he tightened his grip on Asher’s throat. Asher looked over at Kir and saw her frozen to the spot, yet he couldn’t blame her. ‘What are you supposed to do when your fiancé is attempting to strangle your mate for trying to kiss you?.....I really need to get some control over myself soon....’ "Luca, let him go already, you're causing more problems for Kir right now." Moose calmly intervened, while walking towards Kir. Asher didn’t fight back, not only because he knew that it was pointless, but also because he knew that it would only make matters worse if the two of them were to get into an all-out brawl, especially in the middle of class. "You need to stay the hell away from my woman, you hear me, you rotten low-life." Luca snarled into Asher’s face. Something about Luca’s sentence seemed to cause Kir to snap back into reality, as she ran across the gymnasium and lifted Luca up, before throwing him against the ceiling. "Three things that you'll need to remember, Luca." She snarled in the man's face. "One, I'm not YOUR woman, two, if you ever harm any of my friends again, then I will not hesitate to kill you, and three, don't think, for even a moment, that I won't be taking this incident straight to your father." Kir growled, before walking back to Asher and checking the damage done to his throat. "Kir, take Asher to the infirmary to get his wounds looked at please. And Luca, royalty or not, I will not accept such behavior in my gym, you are to go with Kaoru to the penalty room for the rest of the day." Coach said to them before Kir led Asher out of the gym. After walking alongside Kir through the halls for a while, Asher started to realize that they weren’t going the right way. “Hey Kir, the infirmary is the other way, this is the way to the back of the academy.” Asher pointed out, but Kir seemed to have not heard me. “Kir, we’re going the wrong way.” Asher repeated. "We're not going to the infirmary, so just be quiet and follow my lead." Kir said to Asher before going quiet once again. Kir and Asher arrived at the backdoor of the academy after walking for another five minutes and Kir led me out the door, and into a secluded garden. I looked around and accidentally bumped into Kir’s back when she unexpectedly stopped. “Alright, sit right there.” Kir said as she pointed to a small bench. Asher followed her orders, due to knowing that this woman was not one that takes disobedience lightly once she got serious about something. "If you ever tell anyone about what I'm about to do then, I will have you hunted down and fed to Lord Dragolifia's horde, do you understand?" Kir asked, causing Asher to tremble slightly. "Y-yes ma'am!" He responded back. Kir smiled before gently tilting my head up, exposing my neck to her. "Wait....what are yo-" Asher got cut short as he froze from seeing Kir’s fangs protrude from her gums. Asher was startled by the sight of Kir’s fangs because they were not the kind of fangs that one would expect to see on a werewolf, no… the fangs that Kir was revealing to him at that moment were those of a vampire….Asher continued to stare at Kir as she seemed to become entranced by the veins popping out on my jugular. Asher felt the urge to close his eyes for some reason and he followed his instincts. Suddenly, Asher could feel Kir’s hot breath against his neck and he shuddered at the tingling that it caused to course through his body. "Don't worry, I have enough control of myself not to let temptation take over me right now." Kir said as though trying to reassure him, apparently, not realizing that fear isn't the reason that my body is trembling right now. Kir took a deep breath and just as Asher opened his eyes, she used her fangs on her own wrist, causing blood to trickle down her arm. "Trust me." She said before lifting her bleeding wrist to Asher’s face and urging him to drink the blood. Asher did as she wished, he wasn’t completely sure as to why he felt so compelled to follow her orders, as he didn’t feel any fear towards her right then. The moment the blood touched his tongue, it was as if Asher was drinking from the purest stream on earth, rather than his mate’s wrist. Asher felt completely rejuvenated. However, despite never having an appetite for blood before, when it came to Kir’s, he couldn’t seem to stop himself. Asher continued to drink from Kir’s wrist until he was yanked away from her by a mysterious force. "Alpha! What the hell were you thinking?!" The man named Moose yelled from where Kir was just standing. As Asher started to regain his composure and focus, he began to see why he was yanked away from his mate. "Kir, come on, you know better than this! Mate or not, why the hell would you do this to yourself?!" Inuharu yelled at Kir. When Asher looked at Kir, he realized that she now had a bruise and claw marks on her throat, in the exact same spot as where his were just moments ago. The two men looked over at Asher before Inuharu spoke. "I don't care what she says, don't ever allow Kir to do that for you again." He told Asher before Moose spoke up. "We're not blaming you for this one, because there's no way you could've known that Kir was even capable of having this ability, but you cannot let this happen again now that you do know." He told Asher. Asher was still slightly confused about what exactly happened, so he just stared at the men. "They're mad at me for using my blood to heal you." Kir said hoarsely, while holding her head. Asher rushed over to Kir as he noticed her start to lose her balance. "We're mad at you, Alpha, because you knew that using your blood to heal him would result in you taking over his injury." Moose scolded her. Asher looked over at Moose, then back at Kir’s neck, and all of the dots started to connect, revealing the bigger picture. "Kir used her blood to heal me, but in order to heal me, she had to take my injury away and inflict it on herself...." Asher looked over at Kir.Asher realized that, no matter what happened, from there on out, he would never give up on this unique woman, who went out of her way to help him, someone who had caused her nothing but grief, despite having hurt herself in the process. The goddess had gifted him with an amazing and selfless mate and he would cherish her every day until the day he died. "Asher, you can't tell anyone about Kir being part vampire, or you'll regret it." Inuharu threatened him. "Oh right....there's that too..." Asher smiled before making the biggest mistake possible. "Hey if you ask me, it just makes Kir even hotter. And as her mate, I don't exactly want any other men finding reasons to be attracted to her, so I won't be telling anyone." Asher reassured the men, while thinking to himself about how not even his boss could know about this. "Uh oh....." Moose suddenly said while Inuharu laughed like a villain from a superhero movie. "What?" Asher asked curiously. "Rule number one." The men said in unison before Asher was thrown onto the ground and pinned by the same woman that just healed him mere seconds before, causing Asher to cough. "I'll let you off easy this time, but don't let me catch you doing it again." Kir said before walking away. "What did I do?! What's rule number one?! Whose rules are these? Why did Kir just attack me?!?!" Asher asked, completely dumb-founded. "He's all yours, Moose, I still don't like the guy enough to help him get out of trouble with Kir." Inuharu laughed before walking away as well. "Well, now that you're part of the group, you've got a whole lot of learning and catching up to do if you don't want Kir to whoop you every day." The dragon laughed while patting Asher’s back. "Wait, what do you mean, part of the group? What group? And will you please just tell me what the hell rule number one is supposed to mean?!" Asher shouted at Moose as he began to lead the way back into the academy. The bell for lunch rang as Kir headed back inside the academy, so she headed over to the cafeteria to grab herself some food. Using her abilities always took a lot out of her, but nothing took more energy out of Kir than using her blood to perform an injury transfer. There was only one problem. Kir found herself craving only one thing at that moment, Asher’s blood. Kir shook her head and decided to go to the only person that could help her right then, Kaoru Regaldi. Kir spotted the black-haired man, sporting his signature royal blue tie that many thought was the only difference between him and his purple tie wearing twin. What was funny thought, was that there were many things that make their identities easy to notice, but only Moose and Kir had ever been capable of realizing that Kaoru sports an emerald green wolf insignia ring, his counterpart, Kilo, actually wore an amethyst demon insignia ring. "Kaoru, I need your help,
Saturday, December 25th, Bastet Mansion, Kir Bastet's 17th birthday. All of the other royal families had been waiting for this event since the birth of the princess was announced. All royals and upper-class members are invited to this, once in a lifetime, event where the princess will be finally making her official debut as the next queen of Kayanadia. Suitors are lined up at the front gates, members of the Bastet family sitting in the courtyard, waiting for the party to begin, and where is the star of this event? Hiding in her room, panicking over all the possible things that could go wrong during tonight's soiree. "Moose, what am I going to do?! What if Lord Luca tries to kill Asher?! What if I lose control over my powers?! What if....oh gods!! What if Roo causes a scene???" The princess cried to Lord Moose. "Don't worry, Alpha, we already prepared plenty of security and made certain that Luca's table is on the oppos
THIS CHAPTER INCLUDES ADULT CONTENT AND ILLEGAL UNDERAGE DRINKING-Author: I do not condone underage drinking, the drinking involved in this chapter is solely for the purpose of the story and is not meant to encourage anyone to repeat behavior seen in this story-Kaoru felt like a coward for running away from the woman that he’d been in love with his entire life. He knew it was cowardly, but he couldn’t think of anything else to do when he saw Asher, Roo, and Luca go up to that stage and call her their mate. ‘How is it even possible for Kir to have multiple mates?.... I hope that nobody saw me.’ "You're not just a coward Kaoru, you're also a disappointment. How many more signs do you need before you finally accept the truth?" Leon, Kaoru’s wolf, said to him. "You know what Leon, I already know that I'm being an idiot, no need to rub it in." Kaoru said back to him. "I wish I could just
"Luca, hurry! We have to get out of here!" Someone yelled ahead of Luca. He looked around but couldn’t see who the voice belonged to. Luca felt the urge to run away, but from what? He didn’t have to wonder for long when suddenly, he saw a giant wolf shrouded by shadows, snarling and rampaging towards them…… ‘Wait, us? Who else is running with me?’ Luca began to run in the direction of the voice that spoke to him earlier, not sure as to where they were going, or if he was making the right decision. Luca continued to run as fast as he could until…"NOOOOOOOO!!!!" Luca heard Kir scream suddenly. Luca knew that something was wrong, but he couldn’t seem to convince his feet to move any closer. "No no no no no, please gods, don't let him die..." Kir sobbed in the distance.Luca was finally able to move again, but it was too late. He approached Kir’s trembling body but the giant wolf snatched her up before he could react. Luca looked up at the world, holding Kir
"Where am I?" Asher asked as he stumbled through a strange forest, riddled with snow and icicles. Asher looked around to ask someone for help, but there wasn’t a single living thing, as far as the eye could see. "Asssshhheeerrr.....Asher, come here, Asher...." Asher heard a familiar voice call out to him in the wind. Asher followed in the direction of the voice cautiously. “Asher, how could you leave us?” The voice asked, giving him a slight chill. “What do you mean?! I didn’t leave anyone! And, who is us?” Asher called out, with no reply. CRACK! Asher jumped and looked around, but nobody was there. "HELP!!" The voice screamed, causing Asher to rush in its direction. “NOOO!!” Another scream suddenly came, Asher recognized the voice as it belonged to his mate, Kir Bastet. This caused Asher to panic as he ran as fast as possible to help his distressed mate. "Asher, how could you do this?! He's my
"There's no way that I can do this mission. But there's no way that I can't do it." Asher said to Argon, through their mindlink. “Asher, I don’t understand, why do you have to do it? Why can’t you just tell one of Kir’s friends what’s going on? They would probably help us, none of them want her hurt either.” Argon responded. "Argon, if I tell anyone then they would also become a target for the organization. Plus, if I don't do it, then someone else will be hired to kill me along with Kaoru." Asher reminded his wolf "Hey Asher! Wait up man, I need to talk to you!" Someone yelled from behind Asher, when he looked over his shoulder and realized that it was Luca calling to him, Asher decided to walk faster, as he was not in the mood for arguing with the man. "Asher, seriously, wait up!" Luca's voice came from even closer now. Asher sped his pace up more, hoping Luca would get the hint and give up. “Asher!” This time, however, Luca was g
Kir walked onto the campus thinking that everything was fine. Kir quickly realized that she was sadly mistaken when she only made it five feet past the gates of the academy before she spotted two men growling at each other in the middle of the courtyard. It wasn’t just any two men, it was two of her mates, of course. “I told you to back off, Asher! Kir is MINE!” Roo shouted before lunging towards Asher. If it wasn’t for Luca pulling Asher backwards, Roo would have landed a swift punch that looked as though it would’ve broken Asher’s nose. ‘Wait…. Luca HELPED Asher?!’ Kir’s jaw dropped as she stared at the spectacle before her. ‘Maybe I’m dreaming?’ Kir thought. “Or maybe they’re willing to share us.” Kir’s wolf purred in her head, obviously pleased with the thought of not having to choose between them. “What the hell Inu! He didn’t even do anything.” Luca yelled at Roo as he stood between the angry males. Bold move, since he wasn’t as tal
“Wait...what?” Inuharu asked as he tried to gather his thoughts. “He’s my mate too! Gods, why aren’t you listening to me, Roo?! Kaoru is one of my mates! And he knew this the whole time and never said anything to me!” Kir cried into Inuharu’s chest as he finally caught on. Kir looked up at Inuharu and realization flashed through her eyes as she quickly pushed herself away for him. “Sorry, I shouldn’t have done that…” Kir whispered as she began to turn away from Inuharu. Inuharu quickly grabbed her wrist before she could escape. “Kir, I might be one of your mates, but I was your brother first. Doesn’t that mean you should be able to confide in me like you used to?” Inuharu asked in a soft voice. “Inuharu, you don’t get it. Things aren’t the same now. I can’t put you through the pain of hearing your mate talk about other men, that’s too cruel.” Kir sighed before pulling her arm out of his grip and walking away. Moose patted I
When the brown haired male enters the house, he's met with a fist to his face. "Okay.. I deserve that." He says as he holds his now bleeding nose. "Who the hell are you?" Inuharu growls as he goes in for another punch. Valentine grabs Inuharu's arm to prevent him from hitting the man again. "I wouldn't do that, Roo. Look at your sister." Valentine points towards Kir. Kir's nose trickles blood, causing Roo to look between her and the man he just punched in the face. "What the hell.. " He says, completely confused by this string of events. "Well Kotar, you have some explaining to do." Valentine says with a grunt. Kotar looks at Kir's unconscious body and ignores everyone else. "Is she okay? I know the bond connects the pair but I didn't know it could do something like this." Kotar says as he takes a step closer. Alex gives Kotar a warning growl, making him step back. "And who are you? Last I checked, even royals are subjected to the demon exile." Kotar sneers. Alex huffs as he turns
"Oh yeah.. I forgot about that part." Alex says as he scratches his head with embarrassment. "So what are we going to do then? Is he going to send me back? Or do you think he'll kill me for this?" Alex asks as he tries to read Kir's expressionless face. "Well if he was able to kill you then he would've already done it. My guess is that this mark thing prevents him from doing that but that's just a theory so we shouldn't get too far ahead of ourselves yet." Kir concludes as she looks away from Alex's gaze. "One more thing." Alex starts. "Why are you avoiding eye contact with me?" He asks as he steps closer to Kir. Kir seems to panic a bit as her voice wavers, "I-i.. I'm not avoiding anything, Alex." Alex takes another step near her, only a few centimeters apart now. "Kir." He whispers in her ear. Kir's eyes shoot over to Alex's, a deep blue that flickers to black every few seconds. "Well that's new. What does black mean?" He asks as he gen
Alex doesn't have much time to watch Kir and Luca's match as he is pushed from behind. He turns around and sees Kilo glaring at him. Alex sighs, realizing that he has a lot of explaining to do. But he's not given much chance to speak before Kilo lunges at him. "Wait.. Can we just talk for a second?" Alex says while barely dodging Kilo's flurry of punches. "No talking! You sat with us while we were all worried about Kir! And you didn't say a word about knowing where she was or that you had been with her!" Kilo growls as he throws more punches.Alex snarls at the accusations but tries to remain calm as he continues to dodge. "If you would just listen to me.. " Alex starts but Kilo's fist makes contact with his ribs. Alex stumbles backward and coughs. "Damn it! Just listen!" Alex shouts as he rushes Kilo. Landing a kick to Kilo's ribs and watching him fly backwards, Alex feels a wave of satisfaction. His moment is cut short as Kilo shifts to his wolf and launches himself at Alex. Alex
"Umm.. Well.. Uhh.. " Kotar struggles to find the right answer. Kir giggles as she sits up and climbs onto his lap, face-to-face with Kotar while her hands are draped over his shoulders. Kotar inhales sharply as he tries to look away. The sly female wraps her legs around her companion's waist as she makes him face her. "What's wrong? Cat got your tongue?" She teases. The male visibly gulps as his pulse rises. "K-Kir… what are y-you doing.. " He asks shakily. Kir uses her nail to trace along Kotar's neck as she stares into his brown eyes. "I'd like to ask you the same thing, why have you been exuding those pheromones ever since we entered the room?" She whispers into his ear, causing Kotar to shiver. It takes Kotar a moment to realize what she had said as he snaps out of his daze and looks around the room. Sure enough the entire room was filled with pink clouds of smoke. He looks between the pink clouds and the woman on his lap, unsure of what to do at this moment and feeling very e
Kir continues to run around until reaching the parking lot of a strange looking club. She enters the club with her head held high, loving the glances she receives while walking around. She walks up to the bar and takes a seat. "What can I get ya?" The bartender asks without looking at her. "I'll take a club soda for now." Kir responds as she keeps her eyes on the crowd at the dance floor. "Got it." He replies back and pours her drink. The bartender turns to give Kir her drink but upon seeing her, he freezes and drops her drink. Before the drink can hit the ground and shatter, Kir quickly hops over the bar and grabs it. "Thanks." He says while continuing to gawk at the girl. Kir looks at the man and smiles sweetly, "you should be more careful next time. And you might wanna close your mouth Kilo, wouldn't want a bug to fly in there." Kilo blinks several times before speaking, "what are you doing here? You're supposed to be at home with your parents, Roo is going to freak out when he f
After Kir agrees, Linaria brings her out to her real house. Kir stares in awe at all of the gadgets and weapons that are on display throughout the cabin. "This is where Asher and I have been staying. That other house is owned by my parents. This one, however, was bought by Asher as a way to hide from our parents whenever we wanted to get away or needed to focus. It's also where we spent the majority of our time. There are three bedrooms here, you can either take his room or the guest room while you're here." Linaria explains excitedly.Kir continues to look around while speaking, "so you guys really were assassins? Does that mean you two trained a lot? I can't imagine being an assassin is an easy job.." Linaria chuckles, "we did do a lot of training. Speaking of which, I heard that you really like combat and sparring. If that's true then I suppose I could show you to the gym portion of the house."Kir's eyes immediately light up at the mention of a gym. "Really? Can I use it? Do you ha
-3rd person-Kir looks between the unknown woman and the exit, trying to decide what to do. "Alright, calm down. We don't have to talk right now but at least stay after the party is over so I can give you something. Then you can decide what you want to do." The girl offers. Kir's eyes change from blue to red and back to blue while she stares at the other female, obviously struggling to figure out how to respond. Kir inhales and speaks calmly, "alright, I'll stay. What's your name? I don't remember that person ever mentioning a sister." "Linaria Romanov, but you can call me Lina. Thank you for agreeing to stay, I hope you enjoy yourself for the remainder of the party." Lina says with sincerity. "Trust me, I will." Kir responds in a menacing tone as she walks back to the dance floor. Linaria watches Kir, curious as to why her tone had sounded so strange. "Hey Lina, have you seen Benny?" Milo asks from behind her. "Hmm? No, why?" She asks wit
-Kir's POV-After getting dragged home by my father, I was met with a frantic Renay pacing around our living room. "I'm home." I said in a monotone voice. I wish they hadn't spoiled my fun. It's not like I killed anyone…yet. "What is the matter with you?! I spent sixteen years training you how to act in public and the moment I'm gone you decide to go ballistic?! How am I supposed to trust you to rule this kingdom that I built if you act like this?" Valentine scolds me the moment the front door is shut. I stay silent as my parents rant about my bad behavior. "Valentine, there lies the problem right there! You TRAINED her, you didn't raise her. Obviously you pushed her too hard while I was gone and that's why she's acting like this now." My mother scolds him. "All the blame goes on me? You're the one who abandoned our children and left me to take care of them on my own! It's no wonder she's acting out, she obviously takes after her mother!"
A young man with black hair and seafoam green eyes walks into the academy courtyard with confidence. He looks around, seemingly searching for something. He hears the men in front of him speaking and can't help but listen in on their conversation.“So you never ended up finding her again after that? Where do you think she went then?” Kilo asked his friend while they continued to walk towards the courtyard. “Honestly, I have no clue. We checked all of her usual hiding places and even asked around about a blue-haired girl, but nobody had seen her. I’m getting really worried too.” Inuharu responded back. The young male looks up and comments to himself, "Well, then. I didn’t realize this school was so lenient.” He chuckles to himself as he spots a blue haired female feeding on a young male in the distance. Kilo heard the man behind them speaking and couldn’t help but look in his direction. “What are you talking about?” Kilo asked the man with confusion, thinking th
