All you could hear where the chains around his feet rattling, I glance over at Gray who's eyes didn't leave his father. I reach over taking his hand in mine, it was my turn to comfort him. I was sitting watching Netflix on my laptop finally having a lazy day, with work and pack chores I don't get many of these. I sit back smiling but the bedroom door opening breaks my relaxing moment. Emma, my brother's mate, walks into my bedroom, she frantically runs to my mirror fixing her hair. "We have to go to the pack house, the Alpha's holding a meeting," she tells me still fixing her hair. I finish packing the final bag, I know this was a good thing but I couldn't help but feel sad. I lay in bed looking at the ceiling for hours, I managed to get maybe 3 or 4 hours sleep but that was all. I had this problem when Kyle and me first moved into my old pack, no matter how hard I tried I could never fully get to sleep. Kyle always said it boiled down to our past and how I haven't fully accepted the things that happened, he thinks if I try to accept them it would help me get over it. But I don't know if I'm ready to do that yet. I turn my attention to the window to see the sun beginning to come up, I guess there's no point trying to fall back to sleep now. I decide to get up and start getting ready for the day, the early bird catches the worm I guess. The amazing thing about this room was there was a bathroom connected to it, which meant I didn't have to see anyone else I could just start getting ready. Daisy and I sat there and chatted for awhile, she was actually super nice and told me what to expect when living here. She also told me about her family and where she comes from, she was born in America but moved to the uk when she was 5. Her family quickly settled into a pack a few hours away, she doesn't get to see her family much now she's with Josh. The past week as been so hectic! After Cyrus spoke the court took a break, I think everyone needed some time to try and take in everything that was just said.
