I needed to be left alone for a while to try and process what just happened, if that was even remotely possible to do. I begin to pace the room, I was trying to come up with an explanation but I found none! Why would Erik do something like that? The dude was literally just trying to tell me about his brother, who apparently worked with me at the beginning. This causes me to rack my brain to try and remember anybody who doesn't work for me anymore, I mean there's been a ton of guards who have worked with me for awhile, could one of those men be the one he was talking about? I just don't know!
The door handle moving is what breaks me from my pacing thoughts, once the person realises the door is indeed locked, they begin to knock.

It was the next morning, the day of Preston's trial. I thought going into this I would be more nervous, but I actually wasn't. As we enter the courthouse I see all the guards.... well guarding, I probably haven't seen this amount of guards in one place ever! And I have seen a lot of them. Erik said the publics shock they felt at first has turned into anger, for Preston's safety most of the castle guards are here. After Cyrus spoke the court took a break, I think everyone needed some time to try and take in everything that was just said. I had no idea Preston threatened Cyrus and my dad, I thought Cyrus just did it because he's a terrible man that took pleasure from doing that kind of thing. We were now sat in the courtroom waiting for the jury to come back in, I was pretty confident that we'd won this but you never know. I was sitting watching Netflix on my laptop finally having a lazy day, with work and pack chores I don't get many of these. I sit back smiling but the bedroom door opening breaks my relaxing moment. Erik and I sat in the room for a while, at first all we could hear was the commotion outside with Gray but now, it was weirdly quiet.
