I kept my steps calm and steady, trying not to let the council men know that their looks were making me question my decision.

I ran my eyes over them, Lord Dom, Lord Cassian, Lord Damon and Victor at one side, while Sir Hunder, Lord Hero and Lord Jeremy sat by the other.

I let out a silent breath before I walked closer to Barlion's seat at the head of the table.

The council men looked at me with curiosity as I stepped in front of the seat and lowered myself.

"What do you think you are doing?" Lord Damon asked.

He wishes for me to relay his apologies for not being able to attend the last few meeting but as you all know, our king needs his rest now than ever.
