I leaned on the door of our chamber, trying to listen to the conversation going on on the other side.

'The King is doing well." I heard Lord Kiza comment. "He's regained conscious while I was stitching his wound so I had to use a few herbs to keep him asleep. I advice that his grace should stay in bed for a while, give his wound time to rest. It was a deep cut so it will take time to heal but over all, he's in a good condition."

Lord Kiza lied like he was telling the truth. There wan not a single stutter on hesitation in his speech. The words that fell from his lips were easy to believe, maybe it was because he was delivering the news like a professional, or maybe it was because it was easier to believe that to question if Barlion was really okay.

"Can we see him?" A small voice asked and I know it to be Cilvia's.

"Of course, You can My Lady." Lord Kiza answered. "But please, My Lords and Ladies, do not disturb the King. Rest is very pertinent to his recovery."
