"You spent the entire day out and yet, you brought no reports? You expect me to believe that?" Father asked as he stared me down.

"It is what I have returned with. It's your choice to believe me or not." I shot back with out looking back at him.

Father slammed his hand on the table, causing Cassian to flinch.

My eyes never left Cassian after he walked in to the council chambers. He was a bit more collected that he was earlier l. But once in a while, he would glance at Uncle Jeremy and I, wondering if we would out him any second.

"Do you think this is a joke?" Father roared out in the most tempered voice I have ever heard from him.

"What do you expect me to do?" I finally turned my head over to my father and saw how much he was fuming. "You wanted me to investigate travelers who walked through the night yet you insisted of sending me when the sun was up. I looked around the locals and the Inns but nothing is out of the norm."
