Barlion Great....

The previous day had been great. The news Uncle Jeremy had delivered to me had made my day.

Old man Damon's corrupted ways were really good for me. Not good for the Kingdom but good for me.

Cassian was already handled and now so is Damon.

The man is a hot head and had tried to go for my throat when he came to talk to me, just like how uncle Jeremy and I had predicted.

The man might be sixty, the same age as my father, but he too has not lost his touch in the art of making a threat.

He had swore up and down that he would ruin my life. He had even raised his hands up to strike me. Of course, I wouldn't let him.

With the simple reminder of who my father was and how he hated thieves and liers, the man was floored just like Cassian was.

When he was calm enough to listen to me properly, I told him that I had damning evidence against him and that I would be glad to forget about all of it if he gives me his vote and support my claim for the crown.

I watched as uncle Dom sunk to his knees and pressed his hands flat against each other."Please, Barlion, Please." He begged. All it would take to get to Dorian was a single shove, but I hesitated. Squeezing the handle of Sir Hunder's sword, I tried to reason with myself. Dorian deserves to have his head chopped off for even thinking to touch my wife. Yet, here I am, hesitating to drop the sword on his throat and end his pathetic life.Father must have seen my hesitation because he marched in to the room and snatched the sword out of my hand."Hunder, take this scum in to one of the dungeons. He will await his fate there." King Viper roared before he he handed the knight his sword and walked out."What?" Victor outrageously yelled. "What do you mean await his fate? You should have his head on a like right now and get it over with.""Enough!" Father snapped at Victor. "Dorian will receive the same court time as any other man. His case will be presented first."Father stormed out of th

Frost Sorrow...The world felt still. My body was numb and my mind was foggy. At first, I embraced the fog, letting it stop me from going back in to consciousness. It's been six days since I last saw my wife, since I let Dorian Great ride out of the main castle in the most luxurious carriage. It's been six days since she told me to get out of her temporary chambers. It's been six days since I betrayed her.I can't blame Frost for wanting me to leave her alone. I had let her down in the worse way possible, broken my promise to her and shattered the peace and bond I was building with her.Just seven days ago, I had Frost in my study, sitting comfortably on my lap and sharing part of her childhood with me.I had her in my arms yet, I just had to hurt her again, didn't I?I let out a sigh as I washed blood from my hands and made sure my nails were well clean too.Discarding the blood socked clothes, I stepped in to the tub amd sunk down in to the warm water.Being in this bathroom reminds me of my wife.It reminds me of the way she cared for me when I was badly wounded, the way she would carefully caress my

Father had asked before he brought the glass he was holding to his lips. Uncle Hero answered. "The Inn owners had said that they had made a wrong report and that they haven't heard any one traveling at night. They said it was a mistake.""hmm..." I walked out of the training hall next to Barlion with a big smile on my face. It felt like a large barrier had been broken and I could see him clearly, which I like."What would you be doing today?" Barlion asked."Nothing much. I still need to keep my strength up and heal. So, I probably will me in my chambers."Barlion nodded his head."What about you, Barlion? What would you be doing?""Nothing out of the usual. I will have to go to the council chamber soon. Father has asked for a sudden meeting." He answered with a grim tone."Does the king usually do that?" I asked, to which Barlion nodded his head."Yes. I let out a long sigh as I looked at the large doors leading in to the tea gallery. It was my least favorite place in the main castle right after the one room Dorian Great had dragged me in to.I had had a great night with Barlion. After I had expressed my concerns to him and he had told me that his younger brother will now be sitting in the council chambers next to him, we had sat in silence. I was certain that Barlion would want to be alone and go through the lists of names but when I had tried to leave, Barlion had told me to stay.I stayed sited on his left leg as we both looked through the names of the handmaids that had passed through a trial and worked in the main castle. We ended up staying up for most of the night, reading through the lives and expiriances of the recent handmaids but only stopped when I let out a yawn one too many times.I had wanted to keep going. He laid under the covers on his side with my back pressed to his bare chest, his right hand fingers brushing against my large belly.I couldn't see him but I could tell that he was wide awake. But even if he was awake, I could tell that he wasn't here with me. He was somewhere in his mind.Because if he was here, he would have noticed that the soft strokes of his fingers to my belly were forcing the baby to kick me harder.Placing my hand over his, I stopped the movement."Bar?" Barlion Great...The sight of her made my heart stop. Those frost blue eyes clashed with mine and the air left my lungs. All I wanted to do was run up to her, take her in my arms, feel her... Is she real? She has to be, otherwise I will lose it once and for all. I took a small step in to the dining hall, my eyes still trained on her.The conversation in the dining hall had long stopped and I could feel eyes on me. But I didn't dare look back at any of them. If I did, I was too scared that she might disappear.I watched as Frost slowly stood up and walked over to me. Her steps had no hesitation in them, unlike mine. When Frost and I finally stood before each other, all I needed to do was reach out and touch her to know that she's really here.Frost didn't say anything at first. Her lips were slightly open and she looked like she wanted to say something.Taking a deep breath, I slowly raised my right hand up and cupped her cheek. She's really here. My Frost is really here.My

I walked in to the large library o next morning. The gates towards the other entrance of the library was not open yet so it was empty and quite. Watching the first snow fall alone without Frost made me ache. She'd been excited about the first snow. I'd caught her a few times as she was looking out the window, expecting it to fall any moment before she'd gotten hurt. She didn't even get to see it before she left.I don't know how long we stood by the docks. It will take a while to get there so we need to take everything." Lord King commented as he looked back at me.I glanced at Sir Hunder and nodded my head. I had no other words. If They are really going to take my wife then they will have everything they need and more for the journey. Sir Hunder bowed his head before he walked out of the chambers. Lord King and Lady Winter followed after him. Mirra was the last to leave Frost and I alone in our chambers. As soon as the door

That was what's written on the head stone.I read it over and over again. The head stone was made from a large green gem, one found only in our Kingdom. The green gem glows a different shade of color at the contrast of the son, each angel changing color. Our black smith had carved the words in perfect shape and hade covered each letter with black paint so it would be easier to read. The rest of the royals had left a whole ago and I could feel Frost leaning on me. She was tired but she didn't say anything just so I would spend more time with Uncle Jeremy.I let out a sigh before I turned to Frost.
