Time flew by quickly and the first day of the week approached before I could ever tell Frost about my plan.

The council members had taken my order to heart and had kept it from Frost. So had Victor.

They'd agreed that it was best to keep it from her as she had been through enough when it comes to the half shifters.

Landon and Uncle Hero, who now knew the whole truth about the weeks that I've been absent, had also agreed to keep it from Frost for now.

My wife has gain more respect from the council members for her acts as not just a Queen but also a King.

Landon and Uncle Hero saw her in a new light.

Frost has finally managed to get a place for the new girls. Some were in the kitchen and some were in the garden.

But she had decided that the little girls were too young to work. So, they are now living in the main castle, receiving all that they need.

She made sure that they spend a few hours a day in the large library so they could learn how to read and write.

Frost Sorrow...I watched as Barlion rode off. My chest squeezed when I thought about the danger he was putting himself in.I'd tried to stay mad at him, give his the silent treatment so he would change his mind for me. But I should have known it wouldn't work. Once he puts his mind to something, he makes sure to execute it. That's who he is.When he was about to leave the main castle though, I couldn't do it. I had to see him off or else, I thought I might regret it.Seeing the number of knight including Sir Hunder and Sir Dominic made me feel a little better. But the swirl in my guts told me that something bad is going to happen today and I might not be able to stop it."He'll be fine." Victor commented as he stepped beside me to look at the leaving knights."How would you know?""He's Barlion. He's not very easy to kill." Victor replied, causing me to glare at him."What?" He asked as he trained his light green eyes on me."You knew he was leaving today, didn't you?" I a

Barlion Great...I stared at King Ezgard."What misunderstanding?" I asked. The King of the Half Shifters tilted his head to the side, regarding me before he finally spoke."I hear you've been harboring fugitives of my Kingdom. Men who had been unwilling to follow my rules and men who I had to kick out of the main castle to take my throne."A frown settled at my face."Fugitives?""Yes, fugitives. They had been in my dungeons but with the help of a few of my father's followers, they were able to escape. I here they've been stirring up problem...""In the name of the King." I cut him off. "That's what one of the half shifters who'd attacked my wife had said. In the name of the King.""It's not this king for sure." King Ezgard commented as he pointed towards himself with his right hand thumb. "They were men who still followed Gregory's words. My father had quite the religious following. It takes time and patience to hunt each and every single one of them. His reach has always

I let out a grunt as I pushed Victor off of me.I glanced back at the front door and saw that Sir Dominic was already dragging Dorian inside, probably back to his cell.Victor had tacked me out of the way just in time but it seems the arrow had grazed his left leg, a few inches below his knee. Dorian was never a good shot, thank goodness for that."You okay?" I asked as I pulled Victor to his feet."Yeah." He replied as he shook his left leg. "He barely got me."I picked up my sword and wrapped both of my hands around it. Victor did the same before we turned around and pressed our backs to each others."I've finally payed my dues. Don't expect anything else form me." Victor commented as we assessed the attackers."You never owned me a thing, Brother." I replied before we pealed our backs off of each other and kept on attacking the intruders. It took an entire hour or so for them to finally surrender. Most of them had died but some were alive and I planed to have them executed along si

I stepped in to our chambers before I softly closed the door behind me.The chambers was no quite, quitter then it was before I'd left to beat the truth out of Dorian. Mirra was sitting by the chair next to the bed with Sir Hunder standing behind her, his hands gently squeezing her shoulders. Other than the two, no one else was here.Sir Shadow was standing outside of the chambers, guiding it with his life but Lord Kiza and Uncle Jeremy were no where to be seen.I dreaded a glance at the bed. But I still looked. My wife and younger brother laid side by side. Frost was under the covers while Victor was over them. The cloth Lord Kiza had tied above Victor's knee was still in place, trying to prevent the poison from spreading up his body until Kiza knows how to treat him.Telling Sity that Victor was hit on the chest with the poisoned arrow had been a pleasure. Not because I wished ill to my brother but because I knew it will be the very start to breaking Sity.As I walked closer to the

I sat on my throne, my eyes looking in to the distant and my ears deaf to Uncle Hero's voice."Your grace?" Uncle Hero called out, I don't know how many times, but I finally woke up from my daze.I looked over to Uncle Hero before I looked at the people. That's when I realized that a case owner was standing infront of me, her hands clasped together at her stomach, cradling her swollen belly.I cursed myself out internally before I glanced at Uncle Hero again."Repeat the description." I ordered and tried to focus on his words instead of the image flashing in my head. The image of Frost and Victor laying on the bed, unmoved since the night of the attack. The very fact that Victor wasn't able to make it to his seat as first brother of the King upsets me.And then there's the white throne which the black smith had informed me that it will be placed beside my own tonight.I listened to the case description and gave out the sentence. Uncle Hero was good at calling cases out. He was patien

I sat on the long seat at the edge of the bed, my back turned to Frost and Victor, who were back to sleep after they were given the sleeping herbs.Lord Kiza walked out of the bathroom, drying his hands with a cloth. He'd taken a look at Victor's leg and he applied some herbs he said might help. Because we didn't know what the poison was made out of, Kiza couldn't know how to treat it.But one thing he's sure about is that the poison is taking its time. He assumed that it might take a long time for the poison to get to other pasts of Victor's body but each passing minute will be painful for him.The tip of Victor's left toe's are getting blue and Lord Kiza said that his left leg was dying. What a messed up thing to hear?"I'll look more in to it, Your grace. But now, I must take my leave." Lord Kiza commented before he bowed his head down to his waist and left.I stayed seated for a few minutes before I dared to look over my left shoulder. They were in pain. It felt like everytime they

Dinner with the royals of the Water Kingdom was nice. They had paid notice to the empty seat of my Wife and brother but none made a comment. They were very open people. The women didn't shy away from any conversation and the men didn't shut them up either. There was no tension between them. Even though any one of Prince Edon's brother's might try to take the throne from him, he didn't look at them as of they were threats. They truly looked like a untied family and that did make me feel envious. Because I realized too late how important family is.My cousin Jeremaya even promised to show the water Kingdom royals around the markets, inns and most importantly, the mines. It surprised me. He'd always been a resided kid but now thag Uncle Hero is training him to have a seat at the council table, he was being more present and more vocal in conversations.I still don't know which seat to give him.Uncle Hero might try to retire so his only son can have his seat but I can't let him retire yet

Victor whispered from beside me and I turned my head to look at him."Yeah. You?""Lord Kiza was here to change my bandage he left a few seconds ago after giving me the sleeping herbs." Frost Sorrow... ***One year later***Bar sighed for the fifth time tonight. He laid under the covers on his side with my back pressed to his bare chest, his right hand fingers brushing against my large belly.I couldn't see him but I could tell that he was wide awake. But even if he was awake, I could tell that he wasn't here with me. He was somewhere in his mind.Because if he was here, he would have noticed that the soft strokes of his fingers to my belly were forcing the baby to kick me harder.Placing my hand over his, I stopped the movement."Bar?" I called out but he didn't answer."Bar?""Hmm... Yeah?" He finally replied."Where did you go?" I asked."I didn't go anywhere. I'm right here." Letting put a groan, I pushed myself up to my elbow and dragged myself to a sitting position."Are you worried about tomorrow's wedding ceremony?" Barlion Great...The sight of her made my heart stop. Those frost blue eyes clashed with mine and the air left my lungs. All I wanted to do was run up to her, take her in my arms, feel her... Is she real? She has to be, otherwise I will lose it once and for all. I took a small step in to the dining hall, my eyes still trained on her.The conversation in the dining hall had long stopped and I could feel eyes on me. But I didn't dare look back at any of them. If I did, I was too scared that she might disappear.I watched as Frost slowly stood up and walked over to me. Her steps had no hesitation in them, unlike mine. When Frost and I finally stood before each other, all I needed to do was reach out and touch her to know that she's really here.Frost didn't say anything at first. Her lips were slightly open and she looked like she wanted to say something.Taking a deep breath, I slowly raised my right hand up and cupped her cheek. She's really here. My Frost is really here.My

Two horribly long years.I was nervous for many reasons but the biggest one was finally seeing him.My father had already sent forward for a small carriage to be rented so by the time we reached the dock, a small carriage was waiting for us.Father kept my hand in his the entire way to the dock. It felt like he knew of my nerves. Each squeeze he gave my hand gave me encouragement. When we arrived at the dock, a carriage waited for us.Stepping out of the boat, I loved the feel of the cold air blowing against my cheeks, my bare cheeks. The strands of my hair brushed against my face as the wind blew, reminding me that the last two horrible years were actually worth it.There were a few eyes on my father, Sir Hunder and myself as we hopped in to the rented carriage. As the driver slowly led his two horses through the Kingdom, my ey

I walked in to the large library o next morning. The gates towards the other entrance of the library was not open yet so it was empty and quite. I walked through the large shelves before I made it to the sitting area.Just as I thought, I found Victor sitting at one of the large tables, looking straight ahead at the displayed book in a glass."Thought I'd find you here." I commented, drawing Victor's eyes towards me before I walked over and sat next to him.Victor returned his eyes to the book.I stared ahead and pride filled me at the sight of the single book placed in the glass.Anyone who came could look at it, admire it but was not allowed to touch it as it was incomplete."The King's Faceless Wife." I read put the titled before a wide smile stretched my lips.About a year and a half ago, after Victor had gained full conscious and was able to move around his chambers, the large library was the first place he visited.Lady Waina, bless her resting soul, had suggested that she writ

Watching the first snow fall alone without Frost made me ache. She'd been excited about the first snow. I'd caught her a few times as she was looking out the window, expecting it to fall any moment before she'd gotten hurt. She didn't even get to see it before she left.I don't know how long we stood by the docks. I stared off across the water, wishing her a safe travel. When the people of our Kingdom started flooding the docks, Sir Hunder requested that we should leave. It took everything in me to turn my back to the water and walk back to the carriage.Sir Hunder and Mirra hopped in after Lady Winter did and we rode back to the main castle.Sir Hunder and Mirra were huddled at one side and the head of Nights refused to let her out of his arms. It wasn't like Mirra was complaining or anything. The two looked too cozy, reminding me that I wouldn't have that anymore.'She will return to you.' The chambers fell in silence.I watched as Lord King and Lady Winter shared a look.I looked over to Frost and realized that her eyes were following me with worry. Letting out a sigh, I looked back at Lord King."I want to talk to my wife alone first." I commented when I realized that I couldn't be selfish enough to keep her from going with them.Lord King didn't look like he was going to let me have a second with her but then he dropped his eyes to Frost and they softened."We'll need to stock up for the journey. It will take a while to get there so we need to take everything." Lord King commented as he looked back at me.I glanced at Sir Hunder and nodded my head. I had no other words. If They are really going to take my wife then they will have everything they need and more for the journey. Sir Hunder bowed his head before he walked out of the chambers. Lord King and Lady Winter followed after him. Mirra was the last to leave Frost and I alone in our chambers. As soon as the door

That was what's written on the head stone.I read it over and over again. The head stone was made from a large green gem, one found only in our Kingdom. The green gem glows a different shade of color at the contrast of the son, each angel changing color. Our black smith had carved the words in perfect shape and hade covered each letter with black paint so it would be easier to read. The rest of the royals had left a whole ago and I could feel Frost leaning on me. She was tired but she didn't say anything just so I would spend more time with Uncle Jeremy.I let out a sigh before I turned to Frost.
