Chapter Thirty-Six

Ada’s POV

Ada was moved to tears seeing Ike tear up in front of his parents. She could not have imagined how hard it must have been for him, even though she was living with the man. She knew he had a hard time but was masking his pain from her. She wondered if he did that because she would think he was a weak man; if only he knew she wanted to share in his pain and troubles. It was very obvious to her that she had fallen in love with this man. The thought of that made her heart skip a beat. She really had no business being in love with another woman’s husband. She knew deep down that Joy was going to return one day, and she needed to leave this house.

She shook the idea off as she stared at Ike. She was going to leave, but before that, she would confess who she really was to Ike. That was at least the right thing to do, but for now, he needed her, and she planned on being that support he needs.

“See him, Mummy’s boy,” Ada teased.
