Haikal remained where he was. The boy was still waiting patiently for Ares' answer. Until a few seconds later his father was seen letting out a long sigh.

“What do you think, hmm?” Ares asked again in a very low voice. “I don't think I need to explain anymore.”

“Why are you tempted by mom? That means you're not faithful either. You're not a good man.”

The sentence just now made Ares widen his eyes. Again, he did not expect his son's response to be the opposite of what he expected.

“Haikal is too young to understand adult problems, son,” Ares said later. His face looked pitiable. However, the boy seemed to remain petrified.

“You and Mama are selfish. You never think about me and Kayla. I hate you!”

“ARES?” Again. Feby repeated her call to the man who had just closed the door to her room a few seconds ago. However, all she got was a flat stare in response from the man. Until then the man walked slowly towards Feby. Making the poor woman a little scared.“What's on your mind, hmm?” asked the man who was said to be Mr. Pranata. “Do you love him so much that you are blind and stupid like this?” The statement just now made by Feby confused me. Why would the person in front of her say that? He was... different it turns out. It took her a few seconds to digest the reality.“I-I want to meet Haikal and Kayla,” she said in a slightly stuttered voice.“It won'

Feby shook her head quickly as clear water spilled from the corners of her eyes. The red flag waving from the residence was the answer to the crowd created now. No, she didn't. She was not ready to lose one of her family. Even if she had to, her father would probably be the first to come to mind. That was what was in Feby's mind right now. However, wishes seemed to be inversely proportional to reality.“Eh? Isn't that Feby?”“Yes, yes. Finally came out too after disappearing for almost a week,” whispered another. Then the person walked closer and said in front of Feby, “You still remember to go home. It's already late.”“Yes. Your mother is already gone.” The sentence

“Why is that? You have nothing to think about, Suk.” Feby said that sentence with a big smile. Trying to convince Sukma that nothing would hinder his sister's departure.“Sis?” muttered Sukma while shaking his head slowly.“I don't want to hear anything other than your happy story. So ... go. Please don't make me a bad person again for preventing you from pioneering your future,” said Feby later. The tears of the two siblings broke out. It was hard to let go of each other because they knew that things were no longer the same.“If there is anything, don't hesitate to tell me. I'll help as much as I can,” her aunt said as she was about to say goodbye.“Yes.” Feby nodded quickly. “Thank you, Aunt. Be careful on the road.&rdq

“SANDI?” The person whose name was called only chuckled softly. Inevitably looking at Feby with an annoyed look.“If you want to dive here at your own risk, you will get injured by the rocks there. Come on! I'll take you to the end of the Jasmine River.”“What the hell?” argued Feby while quickly dismissing his hand. “Let go! I don't want to kill myself.”“So what was it called? Rock climbing, huh?” mocked the man while looking at Feby sarcastically. “Everyone there is a witness, Miss. Your feet went up to the bridge railing. Still denying it?”“I-I just...” Feby didn't know what else to say because her mind and heart were in turmoil. Confused about how to continue living. “...hmmm what are you doing here?”“I have some work to do. Unfortunately, I got distracted

It was already nine o'clock in the evening. The usually quiet village of Anggrek is now noisy due to two guests in their town. Who else if not Feby and Sandi will be forced to get married right now?“You can't take the law into your own hands. This country has laws.”Sandi was still adamant. She breathed a sigh of relief as soon as the call over the air was connected to someone. The man then briefly explained the disaster that had befallen him this afternoon.“Huu!!! You're a bad guy, you want to enjoy yourself,” sneered the young girl who was there.“That's it! Let him call his friend here,” the traditional leader intervened. Soon the person Sandi was waiting for appeared. He immediately explained his intentions and purpose clearly. I don't know what was discussed. All that was seen were shakes and nods of the head.“How?

“Why, are you going to reject me?” Feby shook her head slowly. Her face slowly turned pale as she watched Sandi begin to undress. She knew exactly what her husband wanted to do.“I-I'm going to the bathroom first,” Feby said rather stammeringly. She took a sitting position and prepared to leave.“Don't be long,” Sandi muttered later. This was where Feby was now. After locking herself in the bathroom, she sucked in as much air as she could. Trying to get rid of the nervousness that was, unfortunately, getting the better of her once she realized that she would be fulfilling her duties as a wife. I don't know how long Feby was in there until Sandi knocked impatiently on the door. Her

“Wait!” shrieked Feby with her breath catching. Unfortunately, Sandi didn't care. The tall, well-built man even accelerated his pace until he arrived at the airport parking lot. Making Feby again spend extra energy to balance herself with him.“Don't ever use that disgusting nickname on me,” Sandi said as they resumed their journey.“What should I call you?” asked Feby later.Sandi only responded with a shrug of her shoulders. “I don't want anyone to know that we are husband and wife. Understand?” Feby nodded in agreement. Trying to understand that Sandi never wanted to be her husband. Again she felt dejavu considering that the first marriage was similar to the current one. After all, it was just a matter of getting used to being a wife who was not considered, right? That's what was going through her mind right now. Is she not hurt? I don't know. Feby even forgot the last time she had ever lived in peace since living a married life about seven

Then Sandi turned around with a perfect smile. Now her hand was holding a plate of scrambled eggs.“Oh my!” Sandi chuckled her eyes starting to bulge. “So you've been watching me all this time?”Instantly Feby misbehaved. “Sorry. Three months later... Feby stood in front of the mirror, wearing a simple yet elegant dress. The sparkling dress reflected the soft light from the window, giving the impression that today was a special day. Although today was not a big day for her, Feby still felt a deep sense of happiness. Rania's marriage stepdaughter, who was like her own biological daughter-had made all the tension that used to surround them turn into tranquility.“Before, it seemed like all the problems were endless,” Feby murmured with a small smile to herself. The dress was perfect, and everything was ready for today's celebration.Feby gasped when she heard footsteps approaching from behind. It was Sandi, her husband. “Are you ready, darling?” she asked softly, standing in the doorway.Feby turned and smiled, looking at Sandi who looked dashing in her suit. “Ready, but I'm

“SURPRISE!!!”Feby was stunned. In front of her stood Sukma and Zaki, younger siblings whom she had not seen for a long time. Sukma, who is now busy with her work as a civil worker, and Zaki, the last time she heard back from overseas, seemed to be carrying a pile of gifts in their hands. However, what made Feby even more surprised was the two little boys who ran up to him with joyful laughter. Who else if not Haikal and Kayla, her children who have been living with Ares, her ex-husband?“Mama!” squealed Haikal. Their laughter echoed, and instantly Feby's heart melted along with the clear water that pooled in her eyes.Feby smiled fondly, her eyes beginning to heat up with unstoppable tears. “You guys... are you all here?”Sukma nodded, patting her sister's shoulder. “Of course, Sis. Feelings were mixed, between awkwardness, hesitation, and the desire to surrender to this moment.Gently, Sandi rubbed Feby's cheek with her thumb. You know I love you very much, but why did you hide this from me?”Feby swallowed. She knew this would not be an easy conversation. “Rania, I know this is very hard for you. And I... I'm sorry if I made you feel betrayed. Believe in me, I never intended to hurt your feelings. Her tears began to flow, but there was no sign of them stopping. “You're all lying! You said we could be a family again, but you married someone else behind my back! The person I've always considered a friend!”Feby took a step back, her heart pierced every time she heard Rania's words. She wanted to explain, but her throat felt clogged. Any words were unlikely to be enough to ease Rania's current anger.“Rania, it's not what you think,” Sandi tried to explain, though she knew it wouldn't be easy. “Your mother and father have been separated for a long time, and I remarried because I loved Feby.
