Everyone present was infuriated, but Byrd had brought along a few sharp-looking men in suits who seemed formidable, so no one dared to act rashly.

Pierce looked up at Byrd and said, "Miss, you're clearly top-notch in both looks and demeanor. You have a bright future ahead of you. Why are you choosing to throw it all away by sticking with him?"

Byrd gave him a scornful smile, the kind that made it seem like she was looking at a clown.

Not willing to give up, Pierce continued, "Miss, I think you've been misled by him. He's just a worthless son-in-law who was kicked out of the Wright family. He has no power, no money, and no skills—a complete loser. Even a mudskipper in a dirty ditch is a thousand times better than him!"

Byrd sneered, "You blind fool. Not just among those present, but even in the entire world, there's no one who can compare to him."
