The tension in the room was something inevitable for Tullah, she could watch Saul burn in flames which depicted that at this verge he could do anything to her right now. She bit down on her lips nervously as Saul stood right in front of her holding the vase she had spent her savings to buy.
"Now will you tell me how this happened and who bought it or should I let loose of this on your head?" Saul asked, pointing the glass vase directly to Tullah's face who was already seated on the floor with a bleeding nose. "Saul all I have ever wished for is to continue working so I can be competent enough to endorse you with our home snouts, is that so much to request for?" Tullah let out bitterly. At this point, Tullah had these feelings of regrets written all over her at this wink, she couldn't wish for anything more than going back to her parents though she knew they would never take her back in, "Who would have?". She has been facing some ups and downs with Saul ever since they moved into the new town. Living with Mr. & Mrs. Richard Fax, Tullah's parent made her feel like she's been treated so unfairly that she had to take the bold step of running away with Saul her loved college boyfriend, only to realize how big of a clown she was few months after she had became Saul's wife and she regrets ever letting Saul into her life. Saul has always been a sweet type of person from the beginning, caring to some point that he figured out whenever Tullah was having a bad time just with a glance at her and that she would require vanilla ice cream to chill out and that he always got for her. He doesn't drink so much but not until the day he had decided to make Tullah his wife. Things got completely out of hand when Saul became abusive towards Tullah, he beat her up at every slightest thing she did and for some reason, Tullah waited with the hopes that things would get better soon but unfortunately, IT GETS WORST. "And all I ask you to do is make my food, do the laundry, and clean up the house. That's it, what's so confusing that you don't understand. Oh, I see, you are only trying to get on my nerves, right?" he chuckled half-heartedly. "No babe, you know I could never do that. Just that I feel...." Tullah was shut up with a heavy slap across her face. "You shut up and stop talking while I am. Just so you know, you are going to do as I say if not…" Saul dragged Tullah up to his height then made her head swing to the side as he pointed towards the basement door. "No, Saul" Tullah let out a painful tear. "Oh yes Tully, Yes baby" He threw Tullah hard on the floor and walked away. "Dare me, Tully" He let those last words of warning as he left the house after smashing the glass vase to the floor. Tullah whipped bitterly on the floor but not for so long. Hearing Saul call her Tully made her remember how Saul used to treat her before they got married. She got up and started cleaning up the mess Saul had caused. She is tired of everything happening in her life right now but is so much in love with Saul to think otherwise. However she has thoughts of running away from Saul which she has four recorded attempts failed. In no time, the house was back to normal. Tullah felt dizzy and needed to get some rest so she went straight into the bedroom where she lay down with the fear that Saul might be back anytime soon and start up another episode of his madness. She couldn't sleep, many thoughts in her mind, things that reminded her of when she was still with her parents and how she ended up with Saul. The sudden change in Tullah's body made her believe she was sick and needed some medications but at second thought, she reminded herself of her last miscarriage which hit her with another sense of thinking. "No, it's not possible" Considering Tullah's current situation, she knew she couldn't risk getting pregnant. Having lost two of her child's to an abusive treatment was enough for Tullah to know that getting pregnant is not required. Tullah straight at the clock, It was past noon whimeantans she had not less than an hour to leave the house which was not possible to avoid being beaten up again. She laid back while rubbing her hand all over her tummy. "You should not happen, it's not like I don't want you, I just want to keep you safe for now so please, I hope you are just an imagination" Tears came rounding down Tullah's cheeks she let them flow out more and more. She couldn't say more as she was trying to console herself, the more she tried the more she cried. Knowing that crying won't solve the problem, Tullah stood to her feet, wiped her tears away before leaving the bedroom to go prepare dinner for Saul. The night was thankfully a very quiet one, Saul came back so drunk that he couldn't even eat the dinner Tullah had stressed herself to prepare. He passed out right on the couch in the living room, letting Tullah have the room to herself for the night. She was pretty cool with it cause it clearly wasn't the first time he's done such. Instead, she carried her food quietly to a corner of the house and ate all alone with her mind settled on going to the hospital by tomorrow. Losing another child was the last thing Tullah could ever wish for that's if there was another little one right inside of her. Tullah went to bed with fewer expectations from the next day, she didn't want to think more about it just until she confirmed it. "Oh Lord, I have a wish, please help me and see me through this. I honestly hope I am not pregnant. Amen." Tullah didn't believe God existed, at least not until she got married to Saul.Normally, the Maryland maternal hospital is always a crowded place filled with people with different diseases, infections, health issues, or others. Stepping into the hospital with fewer people seen than usual was a huge surprise and a relief as well. "At least, I won't wait in line this time around," Tullah said to herself. She walked over to the nurse's table to book an appointment with the doctor and luckily for her, the doctor was free for her now so she headed in with no delays. "Good morning doctor" She greeted as the doctor ushered her to sit on his office couch. "Good morning to you young lady, how may I help you?" The doctor asked even without lifting his eye away from the papers he had been looking at when Tullah had walked in. He was more focused on those papers than he was on the lady who was sitting in his office. Tullah noticed how drawn the doctor was to those papers that he was finding it difficult to concentrate on her, so she seized the opportunity to stare aro
Saul got so furious that he immediately pushed forward towards Tullah, his thick steps made Tullah so afraid."Saul please don't, please." He grabbed Tullah by the wrist and drew her away from the wall with force which got her landed to the floor in no time."How dare you? Did you bite my lips for kissing you? Now I will show you the real punishment" He bent over and slapped Tullah so hard on the face that she screamed in pain."What the fuck…." Saul cursedSaul stared furiously at Tullah for a long time before approaching her in a rush, he took hold of her wrist and dragged her up, along to the basement."Saul, please let go of my hands" Tullah let out as she was forcefully dragged away. She already knew this was it, Saul was used to locking her up in the basement for a whole day once she'd done something to him. At the point Tullah was tired of screaming, she knew nothing could stop Saul from locking her up but kept on trying."Saul, please let go of me!" She let out a whisper but w
Waking up to the brightness of the sun, shielding its way into the comfort of the room, lighting up the space, made the sleeping beauty realize that it was morning.Tullah yawned her way out of bed, she was already used to going to school late so she didn't bother checking the time instead she walked lazily into the bathroom, washed herself up, and got dressed for school.Aside from the fact that Tullah's Mom, Mrs. Naomi is a vicious woman, she never fails to make breakfast and dinner for the family. That should be more reasons why Mr. Richard has refused to divorce her yet.Tullah made her way down the stairs and to the dining only to find her Mom setting the table as usual."Good morning" Tullah greeted her without taking a glance at her Mom and also wasn't expecting a return to her greeting which she never got like always. She sat on the table and waited for her breakfast to be served while she scanned the whole room in search of her father, only to find him sitting at his favorite
"Tullah, get down here now" Mrs. Naomi screamed right through the living room, where Mr. Richard was also sitting while they waited for Tullah to join them, Noami walked over to the kitchen counter where her bag was and took out a big brown envelope that contains some papers which are yet to be reviewed.Tullah matched down to the living room only to find both her parents with her Dad sitting while her mom stood right next to the television, one looking at their mean faces could obviously see the pressure between them. She smiled awkwardly at them before taking a seat next to her Dad. She waited for her mom to break the news because she had always been the one doing that ever since her Dad lost his job."We are getting a divorce" Mrs. Naomi let out without a break of an eye, she threw the envelope over to the table for Tullah and her husband to have a look."What??. I mean, you didn't discuss this with me first, why?" Mr. Richard broke out angrily, he stood to his feet and took the en
