66. Cayden's Privacy

When she arrived at the elevator door, Emily froze. Why did Cayden take her upstairs? There were just the Evans' rooms and work space on that floor.

"Emily? Why are you thinking? Come on in," Cayden said. It turned out he was already in the elevator.

Emily blinked. Faking a laugh, she stood by Cayden's side.

"Sorry. I was too amazed. The elevator in my office isn't even this big," she replied spontaneously.

"We actually prepared this elevator for Inston. Who would have thought, I would actually be using it now."

Emily's face dimmed. She didn't mean to spread sadness.

"I think Inston will be happy when he sees this elevator. He knows how much his family loves and cares about him," she tried to fix the situation.

Cayden raised an eyebrow. He didn't expect Emily to prefer talking about the future rather than the past.

"Yes, I also think so. Especially, when he finds out that his family members have increased in number. He must be happy to wake up and see the world again."
