71. In Cayden's Bed

"C-Cayden? Didn't I tell you to be careful? It's a good thing you fell on me. Otherwise? It could have been dangerous," Emily scolded, still panting. Her heart was beating too fast.

Unexpectedly, Cayden laughed. He stroked her hair, whispering, "I knew you wouldn't let me fall. You caught me swiftly. Are you hurt?"

Emily shook her head slightly. "You'd better be more careful if you're afraid of hurting me. We're lucky the bed was behind us. Otherwise, we'd have landed on the floor. Now let's get up. It's not good if we stay here too long. Other people might misunderstand."

Emily pushed Cayden's shoulder. However, the man was reluctant to move.

"What would people think if they saw us like this? We didn't do anything. You just saved me from falling down to the floor." Cayden smiled mischievously. His index finger moved gently, erasing the wrinkles at her eyebrows.
