15. Caught in a Storm

"Monsieur," Emily knocked on the door for the umpteenth time. "Please, open the door. Listen to my explanation. Monsieur?"

Just like before, no answer was heard. Emily sighed in resignation.

"Is this where he lives? Why does it seem like there's no one inside?" she sighed as she looked at the sturdy building in front of them. Her hands occasionally moved to fix her hair that was blown by the wind.

Prince stopped focusing on his phone. He looked up, muttering, "The upstairs window looks dark. It seems that Madame gave us the wrong direction. Shall we continue looking for the Monsieur tomorrow morning?"

Emily pondered for a moment. She looked up at the night sky. There wasn't a single star. Instead, a flash of light was coming from the ocean.

"You're right. We should continue the mission tomorrow. Let's go back to the hotel before the rain comes," she nodded weakly.

"Not rain, but storm," Prince mumbled as he put his phone in his pocket.

Emily stared wide eyed. "Storm?"
