Margot couldn’t help but smile as she went home after her appointment with the psychiatrist. He felt refreshed and relieved despite the problems she had with her husband. Margot was quite confident she could face everything with a smile… Everything, not until she walked inside the house and found Harry and Nadine sitting on the sofa while watching a movie.

Clapping her hands slowly, Margot grinned at the two. “Wow! When did we open our doors for strangers to watch movies on our TV, honey?”

Harry threw her a quick look and just shrugged. “You’re here. Where have you gone again? I called my secretary so we could sort out the schedule I have for work.”

Margot scoffed. “On the weekends? At your house? I wasn’t informed you’re the company chairman, hon. ‘Cause you know, even dad doesn’t have to do all this stuff in the name of ‘working’. And why is she wearing a mini-dress when her boss called over?”

Nadine bowed her head and scooted closer to Harry, making Margot’s eyebrow raise even high

Margot was not surprised, not even disappointed when Harry didn’t come home at night. She made dinner for herself, enjoyed her meal silently, and went to bed. She didn’t bother calling or texting him, knowing he was with his mistress. Margot knew she had to get used to being alone, so Harry would have nothing to use against her when the right time came to completely rid of him in her life.On Sunday morning, Margot woke up and prepared for her appointment at noon. She was leaving the house when Harry’s car arrived.“Good morning, honey. Did you have breakfast?” Harry asked, smiling. He looked so fully energized, making Margot uncomfortable just by looking at him, knowing what made him like that.“The three-letter exercise, I see,” she whispered, ignoring her husband and walking out of the house.Harry didn’t like the way Margot treated him. So, he followed, grabbed her by the arm, and made her look at him. “I’m sorry,” he said with no trace of sincerity neither in his voice nor eyes.

She had a wonderful sleep at night after meeting with the lawyer.Humming, she stepped out of the shower and walked downstairs in a bathrobe to see her husband drinking a coffee. It was rare for Margot to see him prepare something for himself.“Good morning, honey.” Margot beamed. In less than five minutes, she made herself a breakfast.“What about mine?” Harry asked, his brows furrowed.Margot tilted her head to the side. “You want breakfast?” she asked, nonchalantly. When Harry nodded, she smiled. “Then make it.”Harry hissed in disbelief. “Are you serious?”Shrugging, Margot sat in front of him and took a bite of her fried egg sandwich. “Or maybe you should try calling your sex—secretary,” she sneered.“You’re being too much!” Harry left his seat and was

“Good morning, Margot. He couldn’t help smiling seeing her grinning from ear to ear.“Nah. Just taking a break with a twist,” she said, laughing to herself.“A twist?” Leo’s brows furrowed a little. “What do you mean?”Margot hummed. “Let’s say, I’m preparing for something big, so I have to keep my enemies in check. That cheater did it with his other woman in my house,” she grumbled. “He was going out of line, right? I’m going to teach him a lesson for that.”Leo suddenly felt an ominous aura coming from Margot. “Tell me it’s not something dangerous,” he gulped.“I think it’s not. When Nadine declined Margot’s offer, the latter asked her husband to join her in the first-class suite instead. As much as Harry couldn’t freely say ‘no’ to his wife, he had no choice but to leave his secretary and stay with Margot in her suite.“Isn’t this nice? I don’t have to worry now that we’re in the same suite,” Margot smiled at her husband. “Besides, your secretary must be enjoying now that she could finally take a break without you for a short while.”Harry frowned, his gaze locked on his wife’s amused face. “This is a business trip, not a vacation. Margot shrugged as she watched Harry walk away. She didn’t expect to see him, especially when she was having lunch with her parents and friends. After a couple of months, Margot’s baby bump became slightly noticeable, although it might still take some time for people to tell her she was pregnant. In two months, Margot was glad when Harry stopped pestering and sending her gifts. She was grateful she didn’t have to waste her time on him and focused on her newly opened business instead. The company she started was meant to rival Harry’s project, and as she expected, Margot managed to blow a good hit on her husband’s pride when her restaurant became more famous than his.“Did he come to complain?” she muttered, shaking her head.“Miss Vanders!”Margot turned around and saw the person behind her successful business. A smile curled on her lips as she walked toward him. “Chef Gardner,” she greeted, smiling from ear to ear.“You’re late,” Bruce j

Harry was expecting it would continue until he received the latest report of the sales. He couldn’t believe his eyes when he saw the decrease in profit.“Hah! If you’ve tried harder to get Bruce Gardner, this wouldn’t even happen. How come you can’t even take care of such an easy task?” Harry lashed out at his secretary.John, his new secretary after Nadine was fired, handed a report. “About that… It seems to me that Bruce Gardner accepted another offer,” he said.Harry snatched the folder and read the contents of the report. “WHAT?! “Flowers?”Margot peeked through the window and frowned when she saw a truck delivering flowers. “I didn’t order any,” she said, her expression turning sour when a certain someone came to mind.“Rosaline, can you tell them to return everything before they can unload those?” Margot said, sighing.Rosaline nodded and turned around to leave, but halted when she remembered something. “You don’t like flowers?” she asked.Shaking her head, Margot replied. “Not recently. You know, the person who always shoved flowers on my face is your brother,” she quietly laughed. “I used to find it romantic, but now that I know why he kept sending me flowers, it made me dislike the idea of getting them, especially from him,” Margot mumbled. “He used to give me a bunch of them when he’s trying to apologize for something,” she continued.Rosaline covered her mouth. “Oh! As much as he didn’t want to do it, Harry had to take his chances to get Margot's trust back.“Hah! Fine. Once the new project is a success, I’ll give you the divorce you want so much. “That woman… She’s no longer listening to me,” Harry growled, pacing back and forth in the bedroom of his newly bought condo. Ever since Margot started ‘rebelling’ against him, he never had a peaceful day. “Does she think I’m afraid to divorce her? I’m only married for her money. She used to be gullible and naive, easy to manipulate. What happened?”Nadine clicked her tongue. She had been listening to Harry go on about his wife, hurting her ears. She rolled her eyes as she sighed, crossing her legs while sitting on the bed. “What’s the hold up? If you’re not scared of divorce, just do it. You promised you’d make me your wife,” she muttered, earning a glare from him.“Are you crazy? If I divorce her, I might be kicked out of the company. Her father would never keep his daughter’s ex-husband around. I already have enough on my plate, preparing for the opening of the new branch, and no this woman won’t give me peace!” Harry grabbed his hair in frustration.
