A NEW SECRET....

Jeff dressed for work, putting on a black suit with the dark colour matching his looks. He pulled out his chair to sit. Kiah was chosen permanently to be part of the maids who will attend to the meal of the kincades.

On the table was fried rice with water chestnuts and minestrone soup with soufflé also mixed grills of mushroom bacon and dates which were for Alexei. He eats dates everyday in the morning and evening. 

   "Let's eat" He announced and the maids moved to serve them. Kiah went to Alvin and served his food.

He waved a smile at her but kiah pretended like she didn't see. She went back to her position to stand while they finished their meal. Kiah noticed how Louis Kincade rubbed the maid who served him. Rosita blushed at his touch and kiah knew she was the only one who saw this and wondered what was between them.

After the meal, they all went for their daily business while kiah kept an eye on Rosita. She noticed rosita going out of the kitchen and she decided to follow her.

Louis Kincade pulled Rosita into the basement and hugged her. "I have missed you so much and you look beautiful" She looked up at him, slipping her arm around his neck. 

"Thank you.. I have also missed you" She stood on her toe to kiss him. His arm went around her waist tightly as he leaned to kiss her in return. Her heart pounded with desire as she spun away in his scalding kiss. While his fingers wound in her hands, he kissed her. She ran her fingers through his hair an then down his muscled back wanting him physically in fire with the need to love him.

Kiah moved out from the corner where she was hiding looking at the door to the basement. 

"So there's a basement here" she thought to herself. She made up her mind to search the basement.

She went back to work so they wouldn't notice her missing and met the maids chatting over a cup tea. "Hey Kim, join us and pour yourself a cup of tea" Maria called out to her. Kiah went to the counter and poured herself a cup of tea before joining them. 

"Hi everyone" She greeted and sat beside Maria. "So what were you talking about", Kiah asked.

Nothing much, just arguing about who's more handsome between the eldest young master and the youngest. So what's your opinion? A maid asked kiah.

Kiah removed the cup from her mouth and said, "I don't think I can decide but they are both okay"

Lisa banged the table. "I told you she has no sense of humour and fashion"

"OMG! Lisa, why will you say that"? Don't mind her, Maria said turning to kiah.

"Though I'm not the one to interfere in the business of others but I don't like the way you pick on others and also the way you look at young master Alexei.... You're just too man-crazy and one it would land you in trouble, mark my words" Kiah said to Lisa who made everyone to laugh.

   (Kiah's thoughts)

If not for this mission, I would have had your throat slitted to silent that your lousy mouth. I have played russian roulette countless times, kiah said in her mind giving Lisa a death stare.

 "What the heck did you just call me"? Lisa stood also did kiah. "I said you're man-crazy"

 A fight would have broke out if not for head maid Carly who came into the kitchen. "Will you guys carry up your lazy bodies and do some work!?" 

Kiah shrieked with laughter at Lisa before moving to do her chores. Rosita came in just after. "Ah-ah Rosita, where are you coming from?" Head maid Carly inquired.

"Uhmmmm.... I had constipation so I was taking a dump". 

"Okay, go and help Maria with the vegetables" maid Carly said to her.

Whilst, only Kiah knew she was lying....

(In Tia kincade's room)

"This is the juice you asked for ma'am" Kiah dropped the tray on the tray. "Is there anything I can help you with?" Kiah asked.

"Yes, go to my closet and choose a necklace for me. I have a date with my husband". Tia boasted as she admired her painted fingernails.

Kiah said as she moved to the closet, "Foolish woman, if only you have the slightest idea of your husband cheating, you wouldn't be talking trash".

She drew out some set of drawer. After some seconds, she decided on the one to pick. A delicate diamond-and-sapphire necklace set in platinum filigree with its earrings and bracelet. She took the box to Tia and opened in front of her, "what about this?"

Tia took the box and smiled. "Wow! I love it, you have a good sense of fashion"

Kiah faked a smile asking if she needed something else. "Do you still need anything?"

"No, you can go." Tia said placing the bracelet around her wrist.

Kiah left the room and on her way to the kitchen, she saw Adrianna. She was wearing a white silk shirt, casual pants and Nike air force, her platinum hair poled on top of her head with a pair of sunglasses. Kim scoffed as she passed by her without a gesture.

She went to the kitchen to join the others in preparing dinner. 

"I need a screwdriver... It is in the tool kit in the basement.... Some of the bolts in the shower are too loose" Head maid Carly said to the girls while kneading a dough.

On hearing that, kiah volunteered. 

"I'll get it for you"

"Thank you Kiah... You can search for it tomorrow and remember to take a torch when going there. Also be careful, there are sharp objects down there" Head maid Carly warned her showing a bit of care." 

"Don't worry, I'll be careful." Kiah smiled as she said."This is a great opportunity for me to search the basement for the box" Kiah thought to herself.

Head maid called onto her stretching a hunk of cake. "Here, have a bite." "Wow, this is good. Who did you inherit your cooking skill from?" 

Kiah asked as she fed on the cake. Head Carly smiled and said, " Nobody, it is just a little talent of mine"

"What do you mean a talent?" Kim asked facing her.

"My mother is a nurse and she doesn't know how to cook and my father is a doctor" Head maid Carly stated.

Kiah on hearing this asked, "What about your siblings?" 

"I have a sister and she's a fully qualified midwife"

"So how did you manage to escape the family medical train?" 

"Escape wasn't easy" head maid Carly said with a credible lightness. "My parents were disappointed when I enrolled to a catering school in Brussels instead of nursing school in Bristol."

"My baby sister recently moved to Boston." Head maid Carly said removing the oven gloves she was wearing. "Is your sister happy there?"

"Alice?... She is wildly in love with her husband so I guess she'd be happy anywhere provided he is with her and Boston is a bonus because she loves the city"

"So why did you decide to be a cook?" Kim asked her as she moved to the sink. 

"While I was a teenager, I decided to stop eating burnt or tasteless foods so.i decided to learn how to cook and that was I grew the passion." Head maid Carly said with a glee on her face.

It did look like she was reminiscing on the old days. "Alright, that's enough about me. Let's get back to work." Head maid Carly said.

They both stopped chatting and resumed working. And after dinner, Kiah went to her room preparing to search the basement the next day.
