NEW IDENTITY

(THE KINCADE MANSION)

Kiah frowned slightly as she looked up at the gigantic gate of the Kincades. A huge man appeared staring at her in stunned silence and his face went pale beneath skin burned dark by exposure to the sun.

"Head maid Carly had notified me about your coming. Come inside, let me take you to her" He said opening the gate for her to enter.

Kiah nodded at him as she entered through the gate. As they were going, she saw a fountain with sprayed water and tiny fishes inside. Shifting her focus back to the man, he took her to the kitchen in the main house.

There were lot of busy maids in the kitchen doing one chore or the other. Nobody looked up when the guard took her in. They were all engrossed in their job. A middle-aged woman walked towards them wearing a blue knee gown with an apron on top of the dress. "What is your name?" She asked kiah sparing a glance at her body.

"My name is Kimberly Rogers", Kiah said.

 "Hmmmm". She turned back and called Maria, one of the maids. 

"Take her to the room, go change and bring her back, we have a lot to do today" Kiah was taken to the maid's quarter. On their way there, the short violet-eyed girl with brown hair introduced herself as Maria José. She's Italian and whenever she speaks English, her accent was visible. "I'm happy I got someone to stay with me in this room."

Maria said as she opened the door to the room. It's a room where two maids are paired together.

There are two wardrobes and a toilet attached with a bathroom in the room. "I should get going now because I have a lot to do or should I wait for you?"

"No, don't bother, I can find my way back to the kitchen".

Maria left the room for the kitchen and kiah dropped her bag placing it in the wardrobe. She checked for any possible bug or camera and found some. "Interesting", she said to herself. She changed her clothes and went back to the kitchen.

As soon as she got there, head maid Carly instructed her to do the dishes. She grinned to herself wondering how she she'll use the hand which she had killed people to wash dishes carefully. She came out of her thoughts, slipped her hands into the gloves and started washing the dishes. 

"I'm so hungry", Maria moved closer complaining to her ears.

"Believe me girl, you won't like being so hungry if your belly meets your backbone", Kiah jested which made Maria smile. After some hours, they had lunch and continued working until 8:00 PM. They had finished preparing dinner for all the Kincades and arranged all dishes on the dining table.

Head maid Carly selected Maria and kiah amongst the five maids who will stand besides her while the Kincades have their dinner.

The five of them followed head maid Carly to the dining while kiah and Maria stood with her at the front, the other three remained behind them. "Don't worry, I'll tell you each of the kincade's names when they come downstairs" Maria whispered to kiah. Head maid Carly gave Maria a stare which made her stay quiet.

A slender looking girl walked majestically down the stairs. Maria shrugged leaning towards kiah, "that's Adrianna Kincade", the second child.

"That Spanish dragon who glared at me this afternoon when I went to pick up groceries from the gate", Kiah said.

 "You mean miss Adrianna?" Maria giggled, a habit she disliked and shrugged. 

Adrianna went to the dinner table waiting for others to come. The next person who came down was Louis Kincade, the younger brother of Adrianna's dad who's the head of the family. 

Followed after Louis was Victoria Kincade, the mistress of the house.

Alvin Kincade, Adrianna's younger brother and the son to Victoria Kincade came afterwards putting on a matching black hoodie and sweatpants chewing gum. He went straight to pick a space beside his mother. Tia Kincade, the wife to Louis Kincade came down and sat beside Adrianna.

They were all waiting, doing one thing or the other.

Then a tall man wearing a black french suit entered the dinning hall. Everyone bowed at his presence. Madam Victoria hurriedly removed the headphone away from young master Alvin's head to notify him of the man's presence.

Kiah knew who he was. His aura was so strong that she looked at him straight in the face until their eyes met. Head maid saw this and quickly bent kiah's head.

Maria leaned close, lowering her voice, "that's Alexei Kincade, the first son and the heir of the kincade's family." He later sat and placed his handkerchief round his neck. He made a gesture with his hand and the maids moved to serve them. 

Kiah didn't know who to serve so she went to Jeff's side. She took the rice and wanted to serve him when he gripped her hand. "Don't serve me, I can do that myself. Just pass me the diet." He said, his grip still on her hand.

Kiah winced slightly and he had to let go of her hand. Her wrist had turned red from his grip but she ignored it and passed him the diet. She looked up to notice everyone looking at them. 

She moved back to her place and they all waited till the Kincades finished eating. She massaged her wrist gently, cussing him in her mind. After dinner, they all went back to their quarters.
