The Fairy’s Dragon Guardian
Chapter 24: Strange Place
Oliver’s POV
“Why did you call me today?”
I look at the man in front of me. Truthfully, I don’t know if I could even consider him as my brother or family. In terms of physical appearance, we look similar in about three points. In character, there was an ocean of difference between the two of us. Maybe the only thing that could be said to be the evidence that we are brothers is that we have the same parents, and we are both dragons.
His arrogant and lazy attitude are what differs between him and me. But anyway, there is a more important thing now than him.
“Just as I’ve said in the phone, I need your help.”
“For whatever reason?”
“I need you to track a person.”
The Fairy’s Dragon GuardianChapter 25: What’s Happening? Crystal’s POV“Since the gates had opened for you, come inside.”“I….”I stared at him and he was also staring at me. Is this a staring contest? If so, who would win?But what can I do other than stare back at him? He was a middle-aged man wearing a clean suit and looked respectable. More than that, his aura is giving me the same feeling as I have with a certain person. He was imposing but at the same time, not scary. Now that I looked at him, he resembled him a bit. The look in their eyes were exactly the same, just as the curve of their brows looked similar.‘Could it be…?’I was tongue-tied at what to say, and when I came back to my sense
The Fairy’s Dragon GuardianChapter 26: What To Do? Crystal’s POV “What do you want to eat?”“Oh, anything will do. I’m not that hungry.”KROOOK~Oliver turned around and raised his eyebrows. I quickly wrapped my hands around my stomach and pretended not to know anything.“What’s that sound? It was quite… loud. Haha.” I awkwardly laughed.“Is chicken alright with you?”But Oliver ignored my self-deprecating laugh and asked me what I want to eat. I randomly nodded my head when he asked to mask my awkwardness. At this moment, I just want to dig a hole and hide myself. If the teleportation portal was that unstable, why drop me at this place? It’s killing me! Who would
The Fairy’s Dragon GuardianChapter 27: Old Love Oliver’s POV“That’s not really a good idea… right?”“But how will you go back? Stay here for the night first. After all, our scheduled return isn’t due until two days later.”I quickly folded the map on the table and put it back on the cabinet. I removed the glasses from my eyes and rubbed the area between my eyes.‘I’m finally feeling fatigued.’Crystal bit her lower lip and looked at me with a conflicted look on her face. I must say even after all these years, old habits die hard. Her expression right now was exactly the same as when we first met. I smiled to myself and opened the door of my office.“For now, take a rest in the guest ro
The Fairy’s Dragon Guardian Chapter 28: A Message Crystal’s POV There was a maid waiting for me downstairs when I went down after washing up. I purposely woke up early, but it seems like the woke up earlier than me. “Queen Fae, the Dragon King left a message for you.” I pointed to myself, “For me?” “Yes, he told me to give this to you as soon as you wake up.” “Uhm, thanks.” “If there’s nothing else Queen Fae, you can have your breakfast.” “Thank you.” The maid curtsied to me and returned to her other work. I looked down on the note she handed me and read what was written inside. [I should still be out if you received this note. I already asked them to prepare something for you to eat before you go. Oliver] &n
The Fairy’s Dragon GuardianChapter 29: Come at Me at OnceCrystal’s POVThe hustle and bustle of the city overwhelmed me to some extent, and it was a bit unfamiliar at first. I could hear the noise of the cars in the traffic deafened my ears. The scenic view outside the car window passed blurrily through my eyes.I fumbled through my phone, trying to contact Nayara. In this city, knowing no one, Nayara probably is filled anxiety. I hoped that she would be able to pull through this day until I found her.[Oliver: I already sent Lucas to look for her as well. I’m going there too. Call me if something happens.][Crystal: Alright. I’ll keep you updated.]As soon as I received Lumara’s message, I also called Oliver. He was equally worried about Nayara. We need to
The Fairy’s Dragon GuardianChapter 30: DiscoveryOliver’s POVTogether with Draven, the men were already beaten black and blue when we arrived at the scene, paired with Crystal casually wiping the sweat from her forehead. Judging by the faces of the men, Crystal didn’t hold back. It also seems like she didn’t use any of her powers.Well, except for the unconscious red-haired man by the wall. The impact must have knocked him out and few of his teeth.“How about Nayara?”“She’s inside the barrier.”When Crystal lifted the barrier surrounding Nayara, her face was evidently stained with dried tears. But her eyes were obviously looking at Crystal with admiration.Even without explanation, she could understand what just happened. She didn
The Fairy’s Dragon Guardian Chapter 31: Morning Call Crystal’s POV It was early in the morning the next day when I received a call. I groggily got up from my bed and took the phone from the table next to my bed. I cleared my throat and answered the call, trying to sound as if I was already awake. “Hello?” [Oh, did I wake you up?] My drowsy eyes opened in an instant and the sleepiness in my head suddenly disappeared when I heard a manly voice at the other end of the line. I looked to see who the caller was, and it surprised me to the core that it was Oliver. What is this? How did he know I just woke up? “Ahem… no, I was already awake when you called. What is it?” Translation: I was jolted awake when I realized that it was you who was calling
The Fairy’s Dragon GuardianChapter 32: Thorn FlowerThird Person’s POVIt was silent inside the room. Only the sound of the space pouches being loaded could be heard. After that, the seven people inside made a large circle with their hands joined together. As Draven activated the artifact, a blinding light filled the room. In an instant, time was frozen. The clock stopped moving and people ceased in their actions. It was as if everything in this world was locked in a magical photograph.Oliver intertwined his hands, making a round gesture with his hands in the air as he muttered chants in an unfamiliar language. His fingertips were filled with small lights like fireflies, slowly scattering in the air. These small lights became tiny stars in the narrow space of the room.Slowly, the small lights envelo
