Chapter 5: You're not the One!

EDDA POV

" Wh--at did you say, he--ad maid Rea, th--at I will co--me naked to the Ly--can King's room?", my voice stuttered in surprise. 

" Yes. Every Omega she-wolves does that every year and you're no exception. You're lucky that Master Killan chose you. " She told me and she was right. 

I've been waiting for this day to come and I will be chosen as the Lycan King's personal slave maid and the Moon Goddess answered my prayers. Now, I'm free from my selfish Father and ungrateful packs. 

" Come follow me. I'll help you take a bath." She said I just followed her to the maids bathroom. 

My eyes roamed around the whole mansion and my reactions couldn't lie how great and beautiful his place was. It's like walking inside a fairy tale palace that made your jaws drop from golden themed walls and never ending staircases with multiple room doors as we navigated the maid quarters. I wanted to scream in excitement being picked by master Killan but to think that any minute, I'll be entering his room and strip in front of him made me want to back out. 

" Are you alright? I mean you seemed troubled, Lady Edda?", the head maid Rea asked me as we entered the maids bath area. 

I almost didn't hear her because of my troubled thoughts later. 

" I'm sorry, head maid Rea but I'm just worried later. Can I ask one question?", I answered her as I leaned closer next to her ears. 

I'm too shy to tell her that I'm still unmated. 

" Yes, tell me." She responded while preparing the warm water for my bath. 

I'm trying to calm myself as I begin fidgeting my fingers with one another. 

" I'm still a virgin. What if the Lycan King will take advantage of me? I haven't found my mate yet." I told her with my red cheeks. 

She started laughing and I was confused. 

" Is something funny? ", I softly asked her with my innocent face. 

She keeps laughing like she finds me funny. 

" Miss Regeddon, you just have to stand naked in front of the master Killan. Maybe if you're lucky to be his fated mate, then it's time for you to prepare for his marking. For now, just do what's instructed to you, understand?", now she's getting irritated by my curiosity. 

After cleaning my body, the head maid gave me a white towel to dry myself and she told me that her task ends here. Now, I'll be on myself as I come back and wait outside the Lycan King's room while expecting his command. 

" Good luck! I hope he makes the right choice this time." She said before we parted ways in front of his room. 

I don't know what the head maid meant to tell me but I sense discomfort and trouble with her last words. 

" No! I need to stay focused and wise. This isn't the time to get picky!", I shouted to myself while waiting for the Lycan King to call me. 

I startled when his door suddenly swung open. 

" Come inside", his deep and cold voice made me jump in surprise. 

" Ye--s, master." I stuttered again while taking a deep breath. 

My mind wanted to step inside but my body seemed heavy to make a single mood. It's my first time to feel this unsettling mood in my whole life. I mean, I know that Alpha Damien was the strongest Alpha of the South and everyone feared him for his cruelty but when he punished me in front of his packs and mine, I felt no fear at all but the Lycan King is an exception. My legs instantly shake and my heart gradually raises in nervousness after hearing his voice. 

I wanted to look it up when I heard him again. 

" Face on the floor! You're not allowed to face me, Omega slave maid!", he firmly ordered and I obeyed it. 

I felt like my whole body froze and sweats started steaming on my skin. I felt like I was being interrogated than being hired to be his personal maid. He sounded calm yet there's coldness and emptiness in his tone. 

I heard him getting up from his bed and slowly approaching towards me. As his steps gets getting closer, my body couldn't stop from shaking too. I can smell his aroma in his body and it's so addicting. There's part of me that wanted to cries out in happiness especially my wolf. Meet Aurora, my wolf. She's fearless and a good listener. We get along well but I don't think if it will last because she's started to act on her own the moment she scented the Lycan King. 

He stopped just right behind me. My eyes widened when I felt his warm breath touching my nape. He's sniffing me from there and I started to get anxious. I just tightly closed my eyes while waiting what will he do next until he stop and walked back to face me. 

" I smelled nothing! Strip!", he coldly ordered me. 

I gasped as I heard him growled. 

" Ye--s, master." It's an unwilling answer but i came here to do this so there's no other choice anymore. 

I keep my head down as I started to take off my clothes in front of the Lycan King. My clothes slowly landed on the floor turning me naked in front of him. I wanted to cover myself from being too exposed but he ordered me to stay still as he started to inspect me. 

It's my first time to get naked in front of a man and I never expect to do it with him, the highest and most powerful among Lycans. 

I felt his warm touched stared roaming around my bare back then he stopped where my cuts and bruises are exposed. 

" Who did this to you? What are these cuts for?", he directly asked me. 

I can't say to him who caused it because the moment I speak up, my father and packs will be in danger. I must lie to him about those fresh wounds on my back. 

" I got punished for abiding rules of Alpha Damien, my Lord." I softly said which was the biggest mistake I made. 

There's a moment of pure silence until his loud roars echoed the whole room. 

" Get out of my room now! You're not the one!", he roared and to my surprise, his guards came

inside and pulled me out from the Lycan King's room with confusion on my face.
