Lucian’s POV

Seated on the table, my fingers clenched into a hard ball, my insides were sore, and before me stood a tall glass of water, and a tray of meat, my mouth salivated, I haven’t eaten in five days, my insides ache so badly, but eating would require that I removed my mask.

I couldn’t. And I won’t.

Pike sat before me with his daughter by his side, she leaned closer to him again then whispered something into his ears, I watched his demeanor change, whatever she must have told him definitely didn’t sit right with him. I watched her leave back then wink at me.
