Chapter 94: Serious

Derrick sat at the kitchen table, staring off into space, his mind lost in thought. Zin, his loyal servant and magical friend, watches him with growing concern. "Master," he said softly. "What's troubling you? I can sense that something is wrong."

Derrick looks up at Zin, a haunted expression on his face. "I had a dream last night," he said. "Lucifer was calling me back to hell. with wants me to return there and fulfill my job as a little devil, shouldering some of his work instead of meddling in the affairs of humans."

Zin's eyes widen in alarm. "That's a serious matter, Master," he says. "If even Lucifer is getting involved with our matters after all those years of him letting us run around and do stuff, this might have turned out to be as serious as we thought."

Derrick sighs deeply. "I don't know," he says. "I just can't make that decision. I am not going to go back down there. I am not ready to do that."
