Lyra's POV

It's still dark outside, but I can hear the sounds of Derrick's steady breathing next to me. I slip out of bed, trying to be as quiet as possible so I don't disturb him. I make my way to the kitchen, flicking on the lights and getting everything I need to start cooking. I can already feel the excitement building inside of me as I start to prep the ingredients for breakfast. I'm determined to make this the best breakfast Derrick has ever had. I move around the kitchen with ease, quickly and efficiently, as I put together a delicious meal of eggs, fried rice, and sausages. As I open the door to head back to the bedroom, my heart beats a little faster. I can't wait to see the look of surprise on Derrick's face. And just as I suspected, as soon as I opened the door with the tray of food, Derrick woke up with a start, rubbing his eyes and sitting up in bed. I tried to give him food, and we enjoyed giggling about anything we could under the sun. It was a beautiful day for me, but

Derrick sat at the kitchen table, staring off into space, his mind lost in thought. Zin, his loyal servant and magical friend, watches him with growing concern. "Master," he said softly. "What's troubling you? I can sense that something is wrong."Derrick looks up at Zin, a haunted expression on his face. "I had a dream last night," he said. "Lucifer was calling me back to hell. with wants me to return there and fulfill my job as a little devil, shouldering some of his work instead of meddling in the affairs of humans."Zin's eyes widen in alarm. "That's a serious matter, Master," he says. "If even Lucifer is getting involved with our matters after all those years of him letting us run around and do stuff, this might have turned out to be as serious as we thought."Derrick sighs deeply. "I don't know," he says. "I just can't make that decision. I am not going to go back down there. I am not ready to do that.""But master, Lucifer called for you.""I love Lyra, and I don't want to leav

Elvis was in the middle of a meeting with his advisers when his phone rang. He excused himself and answered the call, only to be greeted with a voice full of worry and urgency on the other end. This isn't the morning that he expected; it's been too stressful for him already with Lyra threatening him."Mister Watson, it's bad news," said his secretary. "I heard that every single one of your business partners is trying to sell their shares all at once, and our investors are pulling out. If this continues, I fear for us because the whole company would be in shambles. We wouldn't last for even a week."Elvis felt a knot form in his stomach. "What the hell is going on?" he demanded."We're not sure, but we're looking into it," his secretary replied. "It's possible that someone is trying to sabotage the company, and I am afraid that it might work if we don't find any solutions quickly."Elvis hung up the phone and turned to his advisers, his eyes blazing with fury. "This is a disaster," he

Derrick and Zin were sitting around the couch with steaming cups of coffee in hand, deep in conversation about Lyra."Do you remember the first time we met her?" Zin asked.Derrick took a sip of his coffee and nodded. "Yeah, she was so quiet and reserved; she barely said a word. It was like she was afraid of her own shadow."Zin chuckled and said, "That's definitely not the case anymore."Derrick smiled and said, "No, it's not. She's come a long way since then. I remember when she first told us about her father and how she was afraid of him. It broke my heart to see her so scared.""Yeah, but now she's brave enough to face him and stand up for what's right," Zin said with a hint of pride in her voice."She's amazing," Derrick said. "I admire her so much for putting herself on the line to protect the people she loves. She's grown into such a strong and confident young woman."Zin nodded. "She's always been like a big sister to me, and it's been incredible to see her transformation. I'm

Lyra watched as Derrick sat comfortably on the couch, his eyes closing as he relaxed. She couldn't help but feel overwhelmed with love for him as she gazed at him. His strong and confident demeanor, combined with his kindness and gentle spirit, had captured her heart without her realizing it. She had fallen so deeply, without any regrets. The way he looked so relaxed and content, with a small smile playing on his lips, filled her with joy and contentment. She was so grateful to have him by her side, and she knew that with Derrick in her life, she could face anything that came her way. Derrick suddenly opened his eyes and caught Lyra's gaze upon him. He couldn't help but smile when he saw the look of love and admiration in her eyes. He sat up on the couch and leaned

Lyra woke up next to Derrick with a sense of anticipation and excitement coursing through her body. Today was the day she had been waiting for—the day she could finally reveal her true identity at the Watson's hotel board meeting. She had been working tirelessly behind the scenes, acquiring shares in the company and quietly building her stake until she was the largest shareholder, with the help of Dame and Zin, who had been staying up late at night just to make sure that everything went smoothly. And now she was ready to step forward and take control. She glanced over at Derrick, who was still asleep, and couldn't help but feel grateful for his support. She knew that this was going to be a huge step for her, but she was more than ready for the challenge. With a deep breath, she climbed out of bed and prepared for the day ahead, eager to take her place as the new leader of Watson's hotels. Lyra stepped into the warm, steamy shower, letting the water wash away the grogginess of sleep a

Lyra had just stepped outside of the board meeting, her hands shaking and heart racing with anxiety. She had been nervous about presenting her ideas to the board, and the weight of their decision was almost too much to bear. As she looked around, she saw Derrick waiting for her with a warm smile on his face."My love," he called her with a huge smile on his face. "How was it?""I don't know, I think I blacked out a bit. I don't think I remember anything that happened inside of that room. I just know that I was not myself, I was out of it." Lyra said, breathing heavily. "I was so nervous, I really thought that my knees would just give out any moment."Derrick pulled her into a comforting embrace as he chuckled a bit. "It's alright, I am sure that you did great, my love," he said. "I can tell that you did great as soon as I saw how pale Elvis' face was earlier when he almost ran out just to make sure to get far away from here. I was so sure that you made him lose face in there. I kind o

Rhian and Raine were busy attending to their customers when suddenly a group of people rushed inside the restaurant. There were three people at a table, and Rhian had finally gotten her moment to rest and hang out with Raine on the floor, helping the servers, but her eyes widened seeing a huge flock of hungry dinners rushing in. It took her by surprise. "Oh my, God." Rhian whispered. "What the hell is happening? It's supposed to be our down time; it's after lunch, right?" "I think so," Raine replied, speaking slowly as she tried to check on her watch. "It is after lunch; why is rush hour happening twice today? I don't think this is right." "Totally," Rhian agreed. "There must be something going on, and I think I might have an idea of what that is." She sighed and wished that whatever was going on in her mind was wrong, but she looked outside once again, and it was looking grim. "This is not looking too good for us; I am already regretting a lot, and I can't even think of a solution

Poor old Elvis was feeling incredibly stressed out. He had just found out that Lyra had literally become the biggest shareholder of the company that he had built from basically nothing. This meant that she had more power than him and could make important decisions without consulting him. His title as CEO might as well not be there since Lyra used her money to be the one in charge. Elvis hated the fact that he had been reduced to being only a partial shareholder of his own company. He felt like he was losing control over something that had been his life's work. So, no matter how much he wanted to relax to be able to think well and straight, he couldn't shake off the feeling of resentment and anger. It still lingered. Elvis knew that he had to come to terms with the situation and figure out a way to work around it. He can't just accept that too easily; he still needs to fight back and think of a strategy to win over Lyra. He called out to Wendy, unable to contain his anger. He needed s

"It’s already seven; where is she?""I swear, Zin, they told me that they would be home immediately; they were just in the restaurant; what would take them so long? They can walk from there to here and it will only take an hour.""I think we should have followed Miss Lyra around as well," Zin replied to Dame. "It is much more difficult for us to take good care of her when we are still focused on the office job. It’s going to risk her life even more. We made a really bad decision; I am already calling it." Zin bit his lips and sat back down on the couch, looking out of the window to see the exact moment that the security people and Lyra would arrive back home. It could really be the best option, but we ignored it like a psycho and chose the risky approach.""I know that trusting other people for Miss Lyra’s safety is a little bad for us to do, but it’s a matter that should be stopped by humans, right?" "It’s been fine," Lyra happily smiled as she spoke with her friend, Rhian. "I know that you two might think that I am lying, but I swear, I am doing a lot better this week. I am trying my best to have my best life.""I know you are really worried because of your relationship with Derrick; Zin has already told me that," Raine joined in as she placed two huge bowls of shaved ice dessert on the table. "He had told me that the two of you had a really bad fight. He asked us to be extra nice to you because you are really sad about it.""Yeah," Lyra lied. "But we were able to talk it out.""Of course, nothing will be resolved when you put time and effort into communicating your real feelings and your true emotions. It’s really great to hear!"Lyra nodded once again. She was not able to tell her friends that everything they were talking about right now were thoughts and pieces of information that appeared out of nowhere. "Dame!" Zin rushed inside the mansion with sweat dripping from his forehead. He saw how Dame’s eyes grew big in surprise, and before he could even say anything to him, Zin had already snatched his cold beer and chugged it right in front of him. "What happened to you?" Dame looked around, checking whether there was someone chasing after Zin. However, aside from the beautiful and calm view of the pool behind him, there was nothing. "Why do you look like that?" Is there someone chasing after you? Are you in trouble?" "I don’t think I was being chased," Zin said. Dame rolled his eyes when he answered. "Then why do you have to come in here as if you were about to die or something? You stressed me out within the few seconds that you arrived." He grabbed the bottle of beer from Zin’s hand and took a sip from it as if claiming what was his. "What’s wrong with you then? Were you able to visit Master?" "I did," Zin answered, sitting beside Dame. "I actually did a lot more than that, and I r

As Zin soared higher in the darkened sky, he marveled at the view before him. The borders of hell and earth were marked by a jagged line of jagged rocks that extended as far as the eye could see. The air was thick with the stench of sulfur, and the sky was a deep shade of crimson that seemed to bleed into the horizon. In the distance, he could see the dark silhouettes of mountains rising up against the fiery sky and the occasional flicker of flames dancing in the abyss. It was a desolate and terrifying landscape, but one that Zin had grown accustomed to over the years. As a demon of hell, he had traveled to the borders many times, but this time felt different, and he couldn't shake the feeling that something was about to go horribly wrong. Going closer to the edge, he felt tightness in his chest. It's always been this way whenever he flew closer to crossing the borders. He could already feel the breeze coming from the land of the living, but his gut feeling seemed to have won that tim

Elvis sat in his grand office, surrounded by opulence and extravagance. The room was adorned with expensive paintings and rare collectibles, but the air was thick with tension. Wendy, his best partner in crime, sat across from him, her face set in a deep frown. The only sound in the room was the soft ticking of a gold-plated clock on the mantle. Despite the grandeur of the room, there was a sense of foreboding that seemed to permeate every inch of the space. Both knew that they were treading dangerous waters with their plan to bring down Lyra, and the tension between them was palpable.Elvis sat across from Wendy in his office, his eyes locked on hers as he pitched his latest plan."Wendy, I need you on this one," he said, his voice low and urgent."What's the plan, Elvis?" Wendy asked, crossing her arms."We need to bring Lyra down," he said, leaning forward in his seat. Dame was surprised to find Lyra sitting alone in the dark living room with no lights on. He had brought lots of food back to the mansion, hoping to lift her spirits, but seeing her like this made him worried. It was really bad timing that Zin decided to try and go back down to hell that night. Dame could tell, just by the vibes that had hit him straight on, that he wouldn't know how to deal with Lyra like that."Miss Lyra, are you okay?" he asked, placing the bags of food on the coffee table in front of her. He wanted to kick himself in the face. The look in her eyes is the perfect tell that she is not doing alright, but he still chose to ask, just to make her feel bad that it shows. "You know what, let me just get the lights; don’t even bother," he whispered before walking directly to the switch.Lyra looked up at him, her eyes red and puffy from crying. "You are already back?" she asked, confused as she watched the leaves outside the window dance. "It’s already dark outside," she sa

A black bird flew into Derrick's shoulder as he was calmly watching over the newly appointed demons in his realm. As soon as he was able to look into its eyes, his mouth fell wide open, and his jaw hit the floor beneath him. He won't be able to forget those eyes, and he would never forget how Zin looks when he's in his real form.Immediately, Derrick stood up to snap his fingers in the air, and without waiting for another second, they were inside a dark room. Derrick's own little space whenever he wanted to stay out of everyone's sight. His only hiding spot from all the demons that would often try to bombard him with a bunch of questions or sometimes the yells of those souls who were being punished."What are you doing here?" he immediately asked. Right before his eyes, he watched as Zin transformed into his human form to hug him. "Zin, is there something going on? Why are you back here? You crossed the borders again?""Master, it doesn't matter right now," he said, still clinging on

Derrick paced back and forth on his desolate throne in hell, tormented by the images and thoughts invading his mind. He kept seeing Lyra, his beloved wife, surrounded by sinister figures and cloaked in shadows. The more he tried to push the visions away, the more they persisted. Even if he knew that he'd only bring chaos into Lyra's life, he found out that he wouldn't be able to give it up that quickly. Especially after he spent an entire month's worth of time in hell reminiscing about the moments they had together."My dear, please be safe out there," he whispered, wishing that it was only the thoughts in his head that kept on messing him up and not real visions or premonitions of what was happening or what was supposed to come for Lyra in the land of the living. If that was the case and he's stuck down in the depths of nothingness, he will for sure not be able to move forward. He is afraid of what he might end up doing just to stop that."I do not need much," he stated. "I only need

Lyra sat at the breakfast table, pushing her food around with her fork as Zin and Dame bid her farewell. "We'll be back as soon as we can, Miss Lyra," Zin said, giving her a reassuring smile. "Take care of yourself," Dame added, placing a hand on Lyra's shoulder. "If you need anything, just call us." Lyra forced a small smile. "Thanks, guys. I'll be fine. I just need some rest, that's all." Zin and Dame exchanged a worried glance before Zin spoke up. "Are you sure you don't want us to stay? We can handle the hotel issues later." Lyra shook her head. "No, it's fine. You guys go ahead. I'll take care of myself." As they gathered their things and made their way out of the mansion, Lyra was left alone with her thoughts. She couldn't shake the conversation she had with Lucifer out of her head, and the more she thought about it, the more uneasy she felt. "I can't believe he would do something like that," she muttered to herself, her voice barely above a whisper. "Why would he want to
