As Alaric's wave of shadows approached Clara and her companions, the air was filled with a rush of tension. The forest appeared to be holding its breath, the trees shaking gently as if anticipating a clash of light with darkness. Clara could feel the heart of Nyx pulsing in her chest, its force constant and comforting.

“Spread out!” Marcus barked, his voice slicing through the chaos. “Don’t let him catch us all at once!”

Clara nodded, her mind racing as she darted to the side, her senses heightened. Through her veins she felt the power of the Heart of Nyx, a beacon of hope against the darkness that was coming.

Ethan moved with fluid grace, drawing Alaric’s attention with swift strikes and agile maneuvers. Liam circled around, his eyes locked on their enemy, searching for an opening. Clara focused on the Heart, willing its light to guide them.
