My wound felt tender even though it had almost healed. The hospital had ordered that I should be discharged because I was feeling much better.

Sterling greeted me when I set foot into the pack house. So did other of the pack members who were awaiting my return. A few lamented how they had feared for my life when they heard that Evans had kidnapped me and shot me. I was sure they didn't get the whole story because no one was right about what transpired.

"We're glad to have you back," Sterling said with a smile. "Although we're still worried because Evans is out there. We don't know what to expect."

I nodded, scanning all the faces of those who were waiting to hear me speak out. "We can't let our guards down. Evans is dangerous as long as he is alive. We need to be very vigilant."

Sterling nodded in agreement. "What do you suggest we do now? We are yet to have an Alpha. As the daughter of the former Alpha and an Alpha female of our pack we need to hear what your plan
