Danger Zone

“Let me help you, miss.”

Ciara felt someone grab her hands tenderly. The voice was oddly familiar, and even though the hold was gentle and sent a message of help, the person’s palm was coarse, way stronger than Ciara’s palms. Ciara had no choice now as she allowed the person lead her away.

“I really need water to wipe my eyes,” Ciara cried. She felt as though she had already gone blind with the aching pain she was feeling deep inside her eyes. Her body was also feeling sticky as a result of the wine Ruby poured on her, and if Ciara hadn’t struggled her way out of the house, they both might have connived together and emptied the entire wine bottle on her body.

“Of course, miss. Who did this to you?” She asked as she continued to lead Ciara somewhere.
