Samuel now understood why his mother had taken it upon herself to protect Ciara Summers at all cost and ensure her safety and happiness, because she felt connected to Ciara’s pains. What Samuel did not understand was how Ciara got herself into prison.

“If Ciara is so pure and innocent like you have said, how come she went to jail?” Samuel could not help but ask. He had had a couple of questions to ask his mother, but her little sob narration of how she met Ciara Summers only aroused more questions in him.

“She does not like to say, but she was framed by the family that raised her,” she said.

“What family?” Samuel asked.

“Ciara should be the one divulging this information about herself, not me,” Aunt Mary said. In as much as she loves her son with every fiber in her being, she loves Ciara Summers just as much. Ever since they met, an undeniable bond was struck between them, and Aunt Mary knew that she was going to spend the rest of her life protecting Ciara.
