Chapter 4(the wedding)

Alex's Point Of View:

“....our bride!" The priest announced and the hall became tranquil, only the solemn sounds of the piano was heard.

Everyone anticipated my beautiful bride. It was crazy how I fell in LOVE in a few weeks, rather it was infatuation ignited by my desperation.

I was desperate to get married to become the assistant of the mafia Lord in our mafia system. I was a werewolf but I stayed a lot in the human world and I had gathered enough connection and power to become a mafia, but that wasn't enough. I wanted more power, more connection.

Several seconds swept by and Sophia still wasn't walking in.

“Let's welcome……our bride!” The priest announced again, stretching his hands towards the aisle as the smile on his face began to look forced.

Murmurs began to fill the hall as the guests whispered. The piano suddenly stopped playing in the background, increasing the tension.

I shoved my hands in my pocket to clench my fist. It better not be what it looked like.

My fans had come here to watch me, the CEO of ace accessories; the most trending clothing brand in America currently. The paparazzi, they were present, hoping to take pictures of the great Mr Bluemoon and his pretty bride.

A lady walked in and walked up to me while she stuck her index in her ear, pressing the earpiece.

She moved closer to me and whispered in my ear, “Sir, Miss Willy canceled the wedding.”.

I frowned, gritting my teeth, I could tell a vein was popping up on my neck already.

“What do you mean she canceled the wedding!” I roared, unable to suppress my annoyance.

The whole hall gasped. A light flashed on my face and I looked into the guests, searching for the asshole who just took a photo of me.

The lady stole my attention, “I might have misquoted myself. I meant she isn't attending.” She spoke before leaving immediately as she saw the gravity of anger inscribed on my forehead.

I walked out of the hall. I got to the car but stripped away the ribbons on it.

I entered and zoomed off, going to a nearby bar. I had the bartenders send everyone out and they did, seeing who I was. I gave them my card to take out the cost of everything, including the bills of the people they chased out.

I ordered a bottle of tequila, taking shots after shots.

I had expected today to be perfect. After promoting that bitch's clothing brand and showing her what seemed to be love, she still decided to leave me hanging, and embarrass me in the presence of everyone at the wedding.

She should have at least told me last night and not end up screwing everything up.

“Let me go! Do you know who I am?!" I heard a familiar voice from behind.

I looked back and saw Bryan fighting to break loose from the bartenders who didn't want to let him in. I was shocked to have recognized him even though I was starting to feel tipsy.

“Let him….go.”I ordered and they let go of him. He walked up to me and grabbed a stool to sit beside me.

“What can I….get you sir?” One of them asked Bryan. He scowled at the bartender before replying.

“Anything non-alcoholic. I suppose you have one?” He asked.

The bartender nodded before minding his business.

"How did you find me?” I asked.

“I spotted the car while randomly driving all about in search of you," he replied.

I nodded, downing another shot.

"By the way, I'm sorry about the wedding, bro. I know you had your hopes high. Should I get the boys to take care of that bitch?!” He spat, banging his hand on the bar top.

“I'll take care of her myself. I know where she'd be right now." I said, pouring myself another shot.

He held my hand and took the drink from me. “You don't want to get yourself drunk and lose the stamina to take care of Sophia's little ass.” He said, smirking as he patted me on the back.

He took a sip of his drink and left. I settled his bills and left also, climbing into the car. I fixed my gaze on the road, rolled up the tinted windows, and twisted the car, making the car cough.

I turned on the headlight and turned up the volume of the music as I zoomed at a crazy speed.

Sophia didn't know who she was messing with, she did not.

As I drew closer to my destination, pressing my leg harder on the accelerator pedal. I came nearer and nearer.

My leg slammed against the brakes as I spotted something on the road. The tyres screeched against the floor as my head abruptly drew closer to the wheels.

I breathed heavily through my mouth as I quickly unfastened my seatbelt, rushing out of the car.

A girl was laying on the floor with blood on her arm, the headlights illuminating through the fog. She had a bruise on her knee which indicated that I probably hit her but didn't feel it.

“No, no," I whimpered, digging my nails into my hair while I breathed heavily.
